Epilogue

“Kon-kon, stop it~ That’s ticklish~” Kon licked my little sister’s face that had some whipped cream on.

“Mnn! Delicious~!” Kon said delightfully.

“My, Kon-kun sure made me remember Lucky~” my Mom said.

“Lucky? Is it the pet Yuuma got before me? I would like to thank Lucky then, for raising Yuuma to be such a petting master~”

“Ah, I know, right! So that’s the reason the head pats from Onii-chan feels so good, huh? Or wait, I think he leveled up that skill gradually within the years…”

“Really? Then thank you to you too, Haruka~”

“Aww, Kon-kon is so adorable~”

I watched as they were getting along together.

On my left hand is my spirit gauntlet, I can equip it whenever I want to.

I can also use my skills here, so I use Spirit Summon to manifest Kon.

We told my Mom and my little sister about what happened during our coma, but my Mom of course doesn’t get it. But thanks to me being able to manifest Kon, she’s somewhat figured that we went through some journey when we’re still in coma.

Was it our consciousness that got transferred to that place? Or is it our soul?

It took us about a week to get out of the hospital since we woke up.

My little sister pitched the idea to celebrate our homecoming, and also my birthday that I didn’t get to celebrate, so here we are making a cake. Well, everyone except me is making the cake since I’ll ruin every cooking process ever. Even Kon was more helpful than me.

It seems since that day, Yumemi wasn’t able to use anything from that world, even the status panel nor her skills.

Well, I can’t really use my skills either besides the Spirit related ones.

I looked at my status panel… and looked at my Job of [Irregular Hero - Spirit Tamer], wondering…

That wolf seemed to be led by something, and that something is probably that self-proclaimed god…

Why was I the only one that got the Job change? Is it because that self-proclaimed god took an interest in me?

What’s the meaning behind ‘Trial Dungeon’? What’s the meaning behind my Job change?

Why can I still do things like this, and Yumemi doesn’t?

Just what is that self-proclaimed god thinking?

“Done~ The cake’s done, Yuu-kun!” Yumemi said, putting the cake down on the table.

And so, we celebrated my birthday like nothing had happened.

“So, when will I get to see my grandchild?” my Mom asked out of nowhere.

“Mom, I told you we’re not doing it until we get married!”

“Then, hurry up and get married~” My Mom countered…

“You’re saying it so lightly…!”

To be honest, it’s harder to keep up with my Mom’s jokes… or wait, she isn’t really joking, and that’s the main problem.

“Shut it. We have our own pace. Right, Yumemi?”

“I- I don’t mind… conceiving first…” Yumemi said while twisting her two index fingers together in circular motion…

“See? Even Yumemi sai– HUUUUUUUH!?” I almost fell down from my chair.

“Hahaha, Yuuma’s making such a funny face!” Kon laughed so hard, finding the situation interesting.

“Should we get out for the day and leave you two lovebirds alone~?” my little sister chimed in.

“SHUT UP!”

All of them laughed, and then I started to find it funny too…

Haah… some things sure never changes, huh…

“Here, Yuu-kun. Make a wish.” Yumemi lit the candle, and told me to make a wish.

Okay, let’s forget about what they said just now.

So, I closed my eyes, and wished from the bottom of my heart…

“I want to live my life peacefully with Yumemi, with my little sister, with my Mom, and with Kon. With all my family members.”

And so, I blew the candle…

When I opened my eyes, I saw the notification before me.

And when that notification disappeared, I found myself standing near a cliff…

From below, a big creature soars to the sky and made a gust of wind, having me close my eyes for a second.

I then looked up to the sky, and found some… pteranodons-like creatures flew away.

I then looked at the scenery before me…

All I could see was forest, and some mountains so far away…

And in the forest, I could see some tall dinosaurs with long necks… brontosaurus if I remember correctly?

“I had a guess that they gotta be something… but to think it would come so suddenly…!”

Not to mention, since I manifested Kon back in my world, he’s not with me now…

“Again, I have to start by myself, huh…”

[You’ve been summoned to save this world from this world’s god’s mistake.]

“Like hell I care about this world! If you’re a god, then fix this yourself god damn it!”

Still, that phrasing… so there are other good-for-nothing gods besides you, huh!?
