Operation Safeguard

Melody and someone else are running downstairs on the 1st floor of One United High. As they run through the 1st floor they notice a bunch of empty rooms as everyone has left to search for Rhyunous. They sneakily lurk through the hallway to avoid the random students that are partoling the halls. A student starts to head their way, they quickly dart into the nearest opened room. It was a mistake. The room they ended up in was the Gymnasium, Inside were hundreds of students who were looking at the wall running into it over and over.

“That's sick.” Melody whispered under her breath in disgust at the site.

They tried to carefully get by the students. A student who ran into the wall ended up landed right next to them. They opened their eyes and looked right at Melody and the hooded person.

“It's them!!!!” The student screamed.

The entire room fell silent as all the students present turned their attention to Melody and the other person.

“Run!!!” Melody screamed as they both ran as fast as they could out of the gym.

As they ran out they started to run down the hall as hundreds chased them through the hall. The students started to run after them stepping over and on other students not giving a care for anything but catching them. Melody’s group started to slow down and the students started to gain on them. Melody looked at the sprinklers in the hall and signaled her teammate. The other person lifted their finger up and lit it on fire, it set off the sprinklers, the halls now were soaking wet on the 1st floor. Melody stopped running and turned towards the sea of students.

“You can hate me later for this. Lighting spear!” Melody had glowed a bright yellow and out of her forearm came a spear made of lighting she fired it into the sea of students. It stopped the ones who were in the front but the ones in the back just ran over the unconscious ones and continued to give chase to Melody and her teammate.

“Well that didn't work, time to run again!” Melody said in disappointment.

They continued to run as far as they could till finally they reached the open courtyard which was in the center, meaning they were halfway to the exit. As soon as they arrived in the courtyard they ran through it as quickly as they could, heeding Viltros' warning. They didn't stop a second in the courtyard. As soon as they reached the other side they grabbed the lockers and threw them down to barricade the door so the students couldn't break through. They stopped and relaxed a little.

“Huu uhh, hopefully that'll hold so we can catch our breaths.” Melody said while wheezing and panting from all the running. As they relaxed they heard a voice that terrified them.

“Oh I see you've come to accept her love. I'm glad you have come to realize the true path of a painless future. Now hand the boy over and she'll accept your embrace. Adrith von Rosenberg accepts your gifts for the goddess.”

Melody and her partner were shaking with fear. As they slowly turned around.

“Why are you afraid? It'll all be over soon, young one you'll soon be one with our goddess’s soul.”

“Get behind me” Melody said while grabbing her partner's hand and dragging them behind her she raised her hand and prepared to go to battle. Her hand started glowing a bright yellow out from her forearm came a spear of lighting. Adrith just looked at it and started to laugh in a manic tone.

“You believe you can hurt me. I'll accept all the pain so send it to me so i may be closer to her soul. If you don't send me to her I will send you then so better hope you're strong enough.” Adrith laughed in his manic tone. His eyes widened open and approached Melody and brought his eye straight to the tip of the lighting spear. He stared into it with absolute focus.

“Send it send me to her now fire fire fire fire her embrace her embrace”

“Lighting spear!!!” She sent it straight through his eye blowing off his head. She stared in disbelief as the corpse of Adrith fell down, his clothes tattered and ruined from the blast. She breathed a sigh of relief.

“We did, we got him so now everything should be undone let's meet up with Rhyunous, Rhy.” Melody instructed the newly revealed Rhy.

“Ok can I take the hood now?” Rhyunous asked.

“Yeah you can.” Melody says in a happy tone.

Rhyunous took off the hooded disguise and they started to head towards the exit, when suddenly they heard a voice.

“What a pity you couldn't do it. So it's my turn now.”

Adrith’s corpse got back up with his head missing only his mouth speaking. Terrifying Melody and Rhyunous. They watched as Adrith’s corpse no body started to walk closer and closer to them. As it got closer they could see his head was regrowing back. The duo stared in horror as standing before them was a completely fine Adrith.

“You are afraid, yes. Don't be you'll soon be a part of our goddess’s soul. Now do you have any last words?” Adrith asked before he raised his hand.

“How, I saw you die?” Melody asked in disbelief at Adrith.

Adrith laughed in his manic tone. As he approached the two.Rhy could sense that Melody couldn't move he tried grabbing her and snapping her out.

“Melody we gotta go come on.”

Rhyunous tried tugging on her arm over and over he couldn’t move her. Something was wrong. He looked up and saw the same look as the students had in their eyes lifeless.

“Grab that boy for our goddess.” Adrith pointed at Rhy.

Melody turned to Rhy and grabbed him, pulling him towards Adrith. Rhy kicked and fought trying to escape he couldn’t. Rhy looked down at the grip she had and thought for a minute and then he set his arm on fire!

“Ahhhh!” Rhy screamed. He forced his hand out from the burned Mellody’s skin tearing it out.

Melody turned and looked at rhy and started to chase him, Rhy started to run in fear. As he ran away he noticed a bright light coming from behind. He knew immediately what it was. He looked behind to see Melody surrounded by strings of lighting, her arm pointed towards him a giant lighting spear forming twice the size of the ones she used before. All of the sudden only the noise of a swoosh was heard as Rhy was struck by it, he felt his body go numb instantly he fell down constantly twitching, it was hard for him to stay awake. The last thing he saw was Melody approaching him and the last thing he could hear was that manic laugh. Melody brings Rhy to Adrith.

“Good bring him to the roof for our goddess and wait with him.” Adrith instructed. Melody followed orders and headed for the roof.

“I have two now for my goddess. How many more till we find you Rhyunous?”

On the upper floor of One United High, Val looks in the rooms carefully for anyone hiding while she heads for the exit. She’s alone and scared of every little thing. She knocked into an open locker while looking behind her.

Whack!

“Ahh! Oh it’s just a locker get a hold of yourself Val there's nothing wrong it's just the same school only taken over by an insane apostle and all my classmates are insane nothing to worry about. Great, I'm talking to myself now, maybe I'm going crazy now.” Val talks to herself to not break down in fear of the way her school and life is now.

As she wanders the halls more she realizes how quiet it is, there's no noise or people to be seen. She starts to freak herself out and ends up slapping herself in the face.

“Focus up Val I gotta get to the exit. I can cut through the roof and bypass the inner courtyard that way.” Val talks to herself.

She sees the stairs that lead to the roof as she starts to walk towards them she hears a voice.

“Have you come to accept our goddess’s embrace?”

Val slowly turns around to see behind her Adrith! She quickly starts to run up the stairs towards the roof as fast as she can. She gets to the top and slams the door and then puts her hands to handle and uses her poison to melt the handle and lock, making sure it can’t open. She relaxes and falls to her knees and breathes.

“Ok Val we escaped from an even crazier person then you are right now so lets get out of here and head down.” She continues to talk to herself.

She gets up and turns around and sees Melody putting a lighting spear at her.

“Melody it's me Val. What are you doing?” Val asked in confusion.

Melody doesn't answer, launching her spear at Val, Val jumps out of the way barely avoiding the spear.

“What's wrong with you? You could have killed me!!!” Val asks and says in frustration.

Val gets up and approaches Melody, but stops as she notices Rhy behind her. She starts to get confused but has no time to react as Melody starts firing more littler lighting spears at Val. Val avoids them all and starts to make ground towards Melody. Finally Val makes it to Melody punching her and knocking her down, she pins her hands so she cant use her lighting.

“What's wrong? What's got into you, snap out of it Melody.” She uses her one arm to smack melody over and over. She then hears a voice coming from the stairway.

“Why would she wish to leave her goddess’s? She’s finally found peace and don't worry soon you will too little one.” Adrith walks up the stairways that was blocked that Melody blew up. He slowly crept forward towards Val.

Val tried to run, she couldn’t Melody had locked her legs around her ankle. She was trapped there as Adrith approached. Adrith was now in front of Val, he touched her head with his finger, she fell down unable to move her body she watched in horror as Adrith spoke to her.

“Don't be afraid soon you will know the embrace of your friend's new goddess, don't reject her love. Accept her embrace.” Adrith laughed in his manic tone.

Val started to fall unconscious, the last she saw and heard was Adrith.

Adrith stared into the sky with an insane look and screamed.

“I have three now for you my goddess soon you will have all of them. Then finally I'll accept your embrace just as they will!” Adrith laughed in his manic tone sounding even more crazy as the excitement of the embrace was drawing near.

The bottom floor of One United High, Arden and what must be Rhyunous are fighting their way to the exit. Arden summons his earth power to crush the students in his way as they run through. They end up running past the halls with no problems till they enter the inner courtyard. Arden stops right before the door to the courtyard. He looks at the hooded person.

“Are you ready for this?” As he asks he starts to build up stones to break the door down.

The hooded figure nodded. Arden blasted open the door and headed into the courtyard, when they entered they could only see a horrifying site of students bodies all over on the bottom floor, some on the rails. Arden looked in sadness and closed his eyes for a moment of respect. They got to the other end of the glass bridge that connects the upper floors of the courtyard. Arden tried to open the door but couldn’t. Arden raised his arm, strengthening his rock arm and smashed the door down. It was a mistake.

Arden after punching the door opened, slimed and looked back at the hooded person.

“Look at that, no door can hold us.” Arden gave a smile and chuckle.

The hooded figure started pointing behind Arden, Arden's face turned to a worried expression as he slowly turned around to see all the students that were trapped on the other side staring at them.

“Oh that's not good,” Arden says.

All the students immediately start rushing the doorway, Arden lifts both his arms and shouts,

“Earthen wall!!!” A rock wall blocks the doorway he opened up, he gives a sigh of relief.

“That was almost really bad.” Arden falls on his butt and relaxes a little bit.

As he starts to get back up he hears banging from above them, they look up to see above them students. The students are banging their head on the glass to attempt to break through to reach them. Arden hides his worry to not make his teammate nervous.

“It’ll be fine, they're not gonna break through the glass, don't worry alright.”

After Arden says that he hears a cracking noise above them.

Oh you gotta be kidding me. As he looks up and sees the glass start to crack. Shattering noises can be heard to the side of them, they looked to see the students breaking through Arden’s earthen wall.

“Well at least it can’t get any worse though” Arden gives a nervous chuckle.

Just then from behind them they could hear manic laughter.

“Oh come on man what is with our luck today.”

“Your luck, why you are having the best luck of all time since you will finally be able to embrace our goddess.”

From behind them the figure emerges from the shadows of the hallway and enters the door frame with an exciting look in his eyes.

“My name is Adrith Von Rosenberg and i accept your gift to our goddess she will-”

“Earthen wall!!!”

As Adrith was talking Arden just used the Earthen wall and sealed up the door frame trapping Adrith in the stone wall.

“How dare you trap me when I was going to accept your gift.”

“Yeah yeah quit yapping. I'm tired of hearing your voice.” Arden was beyond fed up with Adrith.

“Yapping, you dare accuse me of yapping!!!!! My fellow children sacrifice yourself to trap them and you will receive her embrace!” Adrith yelled in a pissed off tone.

The noise above them stopped for a second, then suddenly the noise became louder and faster. They looked up to see the students who were breaking the glass bridge above them with their hands stopped and started using their heads instead. Over and over they smashed their heads. Arden quickly turned to the other side to see students squeezing through his earthen wall tearing their limbs to get through the wall. They now looked in horror, Adrith looked at the students like a proud father. Arden started to shut down as he kept trying to figure out what to do, the hooded figure grabbed Arden’s hands.

“Arden we can’t save them all, we have to fight!”

Arden felt a water droplet hit his hand and looked up to see Rhyunous with his hood down crying. Arden then snapped back to a stable state and stood up and prepared to hurt his friends, his classmates, the ones he lived with all his life. Adrith looked at Rhyunous, his eyes now fixated and widened as far as they could go staring straight at the boy.

“I finally found you!” he smiled a hideous smile as he started to tear his body apart to break free.

Then suddenly a shattering noise echoed over the entire place and pieces of glass were seen falling with blood on them and then splat. The students were falling down from above them. Arden started to use his earth manipulation to knock the ones that were getting close to them. Adrith ripped his body out of the earthen wall, the back half still stuck in the wall. Arden now started to panic and look for a way out, when suddenly the other side of the students were approaching. Arden looked at the solid wall in front of them. Adrith, now fully reformed, starts to slowly approach them. His manic laughter continued. Arden finally came to a solution. Arden focused all his earth manipulation into a giant rock fist and punched the wall making an opening.

“Run go through Rhyunous!” Arden shouted.

Rhyunous ran through the opening and then looked back to see if Arden was behind him, he wasn’t.

“Rhyunous i'll hold them so run!!!”

Rhyunous reluctantly ran away with a guilty feeling in his chest. Arden closed the hole with a wall. Adrith looked pissed off.

“You didn't have to go and do that now.”

“You want to get to Rhyunous you gotta go through me.” Arden, determined with courage, stood in front of the wall and faced Adrith Von Rosenberg.

Adrith looked at Arden with disgust, Adrith stood there for a few just staring down Arden. A student from the top floor was falling towards Arden, Before the student reached Arden. Arden looked up ready to block the student. He saw the student cut in half, blood and guts fell on Arden. Arden turned towards Adrith. Adrith had an insane bloodlust look in his eyes.

“No one interferes with this battle, go after the boy now!!” Adrith ordered the other students to leave. All the students left, it was just Arden and Adrith in the courtyard standing face to face on each side.

“You're a monster.” Arden said with a fierce look in his eyes.

“A monster to you, but not to them.” Adrith said as he pointed to the students that left.

“You're pretty brave to fight me since you can only affect the mind yapper.” Arden said confidently believing he has the upper hand.

“You unfortunate creature she no longer wants you.” Adrith said with a happy tone.

“Which means I can kill you however I like.”

Adrith gave a smile and raised his hand to his side. He closed his eyes. As he opened them a Scythe with skulls on it appeared in his hand.

“I call my scythe her rejection and you will feel its wrath.”

Adrith turned his head sideways and smiled and laughed the same manic laughter. Arden raised his hand and summoned a stone sword and shield.

Adrith starts moving faster than before. Arden barely has time to raise his shield being speed blitzed by Adrith. Adrith knocks Arden’s shield up in the air as Arden starts to fall from the sudden attack. Adrith goes in for another attack, as he swings his scythe inches from Arden’s chest, Adrith is stopped. Arden smiles,

“Only focus on what you can and the unseen will be your undoing.”

Arden trapped Adrith in his earthen mud trap. Arden regains his footing and slices down on the arm holding the scythe cutting off Adrith’s arm, he then shield bashes Adrith sending him flying tearing off his feet. Adrith is sent into the wall slamming into it. Arden doesn't let up; he rushes and stabs Adrith in the chest, then summons a bunch of earthen spears and stabs Adrith with them. Arden jumps back and looks at Adrith.

“Before I kill you, do you have any last words?” Arden asks Adrith while charging up a bunch of spears again that surround him ready to plummet Adrith with them. Adrith looks at Arden and starts to do his manic laughter.

“Tell me boy, have you said your goodbyes?” Adrith asks Arden.

Arden, hearing this launches all his spears, stabbing each part of his limbs finally one final one through his head. Arden sighs and turns around and undoes his earthen wall, as he starts to walk through. He freezes as he hears the same manic laughter. He turns around to see Adrith standing right in front of him towering over him with his scythe in his arm.

“Any last words?” Adrith asks Arden.

Arden paralyzed in fear, just stands there. Adrith slash's down on Arden, cutting him across his chest. Blood splatters on Adrith’s face.

“Ahhhhh!!!!” Arden screams in pain.

Arden falls on the ground, grabbing his chest in pain. Adrith stands over Arden with a devious smile. Adrith starts to slice at Arden over and over, blood going all over. Adrith just laughs over and over

“Tell me boy who is a yapper now!!!” Adrith screams.

Arden while choking up his own blood,

“You are, you yapper”

Suddenly giant spikes show up all over the ground, Adrith jumps back as the spikes follow him, he's pushed all the way out of the courtyard. Arden looks to see that successfully pushed Adrith back. He sets himself up on the wall and starts to try and stop the bleeding. He hears Adrith one final time from the other side.

“Well played boy, but you've lost too much blood you'll die soon.” Manic laughter can be heard slowly fading from the hearing range.

“What a yapper” Arden says one final time before passing out from blood loss he surrounds himself in his earthen rock.

Back with Rhyunous, he’s approaching the stairs to the roof to cut through the inner courtyard from above the same way Val tried to.

I hope everyones ok. I know Arden's strength. I'm sure he's fine. After this I hope we can go get some jelly. I wish my big bro was here. He would have stopped that man before he had the chance to hurt them. Oh would he now? Yeah of course he would…. Wait, who was that? Oh no one special my name is Adrith Von Rosenberg! Wait how i'm thinking to myself how can you be in my thoughts? Quiet easy boy, I only came to tell you I killed your friend, hahaha.

Rhyunous fell down where he was, his chest started hurting. He grabbed his chest and curled up.

Oh what's wrong, does it sadden you?

“Get out of my head!!!” Rhyunous screamed out loud.

Come to the roof boy if you don’t i'll kill the others that were with you. Zero would come, you don’t want to disappoint him do you?

Rhyunous was now faced with a choice he couldn't ignore. He got himself off the ground and his chest stopped hurting. He turned around and looked at the stairs to the roof and started to run towards them.

“I'm coming guys, hold on!” Rhyunous shouted.

Rhyunous was at the door that led to the roof. He opened it, it was raining outside, he looked at the huge roof and saw his friends on the roof passed out and on the ledge of the roof was him, Adrith Von Rosenberg with his arms in the air and his head raised.

“Welcome to her embracing us! I Adrith Von Rosenberg will now sacrifice you to her.” Adrith turned around and looked at Rhyunous with a grin.

Rhyunous stared Adrith down as he slowly walked towards the mad apostle. He walked slowly as the rain continued to pour down, he looked around to see all his friends badly beaten and bloody. He noticed Arden wasn't there and he started to fear the worst. He was mer inches away from Adrith looking up at him. He looked straight into Adrith’s eyes.

Why? Why did you do this? Before you kill me tell me why!!!!

Rhyunous screamed.

“Why, you are an anomaly you should not exist your very existence upsets the balance my goddess has tried to protect. You must die so we can avoid the war.”

“War? What war?” Rhyunous asked, puzzled.

“Before you can awaken your power I must kill you so he can't come here. Adrith said with a look of terror.”

“Who can't come here?”

“The most vile, most destructive creature I have had the displeasure of knowing its existence.”

“You mean Thanatos?”

“NO!!! Compared to Thanatos he makes Thanatos look like an angel.”

“If that's true why wouldn't King Thanatos just kill him?”

“He doesn't know of its existence and I won't let him.”

“Let him know then.”

“NO! I will not allow them two to meet; they would destroy everything in a fight.”

Rhyunous at this revelation, wonder what kind of creature would be strong enough to stand toe to toe with Thanatos. Adrith was standing there staring at him. Adrith hasn't moved once the entire time.

Why hasn't he moved from that spot?

Rhyunous could hear a faint voice call out to him; it sounded far off, no almost muffled.

“Snap out of it!!”

“What are you saying? I can't hear you.”

“Ic’larna”

Rhyunous’s vision started to get blurry and he started to sway back and forth as he saw his world start to tear?

“What's happening to my head, it hurts.”

His head started to pound and he looked up from where Adrith was, he was gone. Rhyunous started to panic, the world started to spin and crack.

Rhyunous was getting sick and started to sweat profusely, his head started to hurt again, he looked down and saw blood dripping out from his chest.

“What's happening to me?”

After seeing the blood he then looked around as his world was shattered, he then saw Adrith standing in front of him with his Scythe with blood on it and a crazed look in Adrith looking past him. Adrith looked terrified. Adrith quickly turned and swung at Rhyunous. He was pulled back as the swing reached him. He fell down on his back looking up as it rained. He then heard the voice much clearer this time, it was his father.

“How dare you hurt my son!!” An enraged Viltro stood next to Rhyunous, with bloodlust in his eyes and a visible aura around him.

“Viltro the immortal! Why are you here?” Adrith looked and pondered.

Viltro rushed Adrith and started punching him, taking arms and legs with each blow. Adrith just regenerated them. Adrith just laughed in his manic tone.

“You can’t hurt me, I am Adrith Von Rosenberg!”

Viltro stopped and looked right at Adrith, no into his soul.

“You are not Adrith Von Rosenberg! So who are you really!!!” Viltro started to shake the roof with his strength in his voice alone.

“Iam Adrith Von Rosenberg. What more proof do you need?”

“No you may look and talk like him but you are not my friend.”

“Friend?”

“Yes i was friends with Aldrith Von Rosenberg, the real one”

“He lived 6,500 years ago, that's not possible.”

“He? Not you?”

The imposter was caught in the act. Adrith’s speech patterns and the way he carried himself changed in an instant.

“I thought I played the part of the mad king Adrith perfectly. I never imagined I would only be found out because of a person who lived from that time period. Well the cats out of the bag now. I guess I don't have to hold back anymore. Now I'm curious how you know him, I'm gonna look into your soul now and see how that's possible.”

“Do that and you will never be able to sleep at night again!” Viltro warned the imposter of what the consequence would be.

“You dare tell me the Soul apostle to be careful looking into your soul. You're a funny guy, Viltro.”

“Soul apostle. You're going for that angle now. Too bad for you only one person in the entire dimension can look into a soul’s memories, now i know who you are and it all makes sense now”

“You think you know who I am. You really are funny.”

“Animanusa.”

Animanusa immediately went straight to attack viltro after hearing her name. Viltro meets her fist with his own shattering the windows in the school from the shockwave they created. Viltro laughed and smirked.

“Seems like that pissed you off.”

“You make me sick, your kind of species is garbage”

“You dare talk bad about your king's species, better be careful he dont hear that.”

Viltro kept pushing his fist forward more in the struggle to send her flying back. Animanusa was trying as hard as she could but her effort was in vain, she was sent flying towards buildings getting sent through several.

Viltro turned and ran over to Rhyunous who was slowly bleeding out. Viltro picked him up in one hand and put the other hand on his wound and a green light started to appear from his hand and healed the cut.

“Are you ok?”

“Father?”

“Yes its me”

“What happened?”

“You were trapped in a mind spell, what you thought you saw wasn't real as in the real world you were being sliced up.”

“That voice I heard.”

“It was me i casted Ic’larna. It frees the target from the mind effect.”

“Thank you, what about the others?”

“They'll be fine. I'll deal with her and will go get some rest and food ok just lay here and wait for me.” Viltro carefully laid down Rhyunous and stood up and walked forward and swung his fist at the air. The next thing that happened he swung down at the air was Animanusa being slammed into the ground.

“Nice trick to bad when I was explaining to Rhyunous i casted it again.”

“Ughh! Your a monster”

“Yes, I think that's the best term. Unfortunately for you.” Viltro started to sprint towards her.

She smiled,

“You fell for it.”

A giant purple field surround Viltro, Animanusa started to walk towards viltro, She then walked inside the field and the body she was posing just fell down and her true was finally shown, She was wrapped in rusted chains all over wearing a blindfold on her eyes and was average height with cyan hair. She then approached Viltro.

“Now I'll see how you knew him.”

“You'll regret it just so you know.” Viltro warned her.

“Amusing you truly believe you have that disturbing and painful life, tell me have you ever been tortured to the point you want to die, drowned, raped, murdered i have seen some many tragic moments in life your memories will not scar me Viltro.”

Animanusa raised her arm and started to turn transparent as she slowly had a purple glow as she walked through Viltro’s body. She ended up standing behind Viltro shocked with disbelief.

“What? Why didn't I go into your soul?”

“You can’t enter a god’s soul without a contract.”

Animanusa turned in fear and what she heard.

“A god? You're one of the gods? That can't be it's impossible.”

“Then why couldn't you look into my soul? I'll tell you why. You're not strong enough to enter a god’s soul.”

Animanusa gave a disappointing sigh.

“Fine, let's form a contract.”

Viltro smiled, then put his hand to his chin and looked up into the sky and for minutes nothing but silence, finally he looked at her and extended his hand.

“I'll form a contract. I'll let you see how I know Adrith Von Rosenberg.”

“No catch?”

“Nope because as soon as you see my memories you'll die.”

Animanusa hesitated for a few and finally took Viltro’s hand, they then were transported to a different place. A pitch black area with only them. Viltro looked at her, she started to cry and shake, she let go of his hand. She was panting very heavily.

“What was that?”

“My memories I told you. You only saw 1 year of my life and you broke that quick disappointing.”

“That wasn't the deal i was told you'd show me how you knew him you lie-”

“That is how I know him.”

“But that means you were the one who..”

“Yes I killed Aldrith Von Rosenberg. That’s his real name Aldrith not Adrith.”

Animanusa looked at Viltro with a different look, a fearful one for the first time in her life she was terrified of someone's memories. Viltro then looked at her and gave a sad look.

“I know you didn't choose this life. If you want before you die I'll show you the memories and keep you alive before you die.”
