Chapter 4:

Embracing Destiny and Forging Love

Full Metal Sakura Kamikaze

Inevitable - that’s what the next day was. It could be certainly stated that Nippon was indeed the “Land of the Rising Sun” - for the sun showed itself through the waifu patterned curtains that hung in Yumeko’s apartment. Today as the day of inevitability - the day that Aya knew that she had to take the bullet train down to the Tokyo Space Departure and Landing Station to embrace her fate as a gyokusai of the Special Unit: Sakura Kamikaze. Aya turned to Yumeko, whilst they laid between the waifu patterned comforter and her traditional futon bed, smiling at Yumeko and stroking her hair.

“When I’m falling - in one of those perfectly smooth, fifteen foot, thin, elongated triangular, pink and white digital patterned camouflage Sakura Kamikaze, ballistic drop-ships used for a sort of seppuku as it’s been described - there’s two things that I’ll do: sing Furusato and think of you, Yumeko.”

Aya said as tears welled in her eyes, soft, elegant tears - like those of a geisha. Yumeko smiled, tears welling in her eyes as well. They’d known each other for less than a day, but the two shōjo smiled at each other in the futon bed, as Yumeko then spoke up.

“You’re an Onna-musha - you’re no one’s gyokusai. And as you descend from orbit, from space, from the realms of Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto - remember us, remember this feeling of yuri, remember us.”

Yumeko said to Aya as they then shared yet another wet, deep kiss - their lips finally parting - but at least one trail of saliva connecting their impassioned yuri lips. Aya and Yumeko smiled to each other as they then bathed, and dressed once more - with Yumeko dressing in a white, Gothic Lolita outfit that was tight fitting and elegant, while Aya wore her typical modified school uniform outfit: tight, short, and flashy. So there they were: a Jirai Kei and a Gothic Lolita yuri fast couple on their way to the bullet train station to travel to the Tokyo Space Departure and Landing Station.

The walk to the bullet train platform, and the ride itself to Tokyo was silent - an ominous feeling mixed with a yuri love between the two shōjo and hovered over them like a thunder cloud. Soon enough, Aya and yumeko were at the Tokyo Space Departure and Landing Station - as there was a specially designated bullet train stop there. As Aya and Yumeko got off the train - they looked at each other, and then at the white and red granite composite memorial wall with gold carvings of the Imperial Chrysanthemum and gold inscriptions of the same shade, in Japanese, German, and English - there being no grand messages or other kinds of proclamations, instead, there were only names translated into those three languages, with romaji being utilized for the English and German translations. These were the names of those shōjo who were martyred as gyokusai in a sort of forced seppuku - those Yamato Shōjo of Nippon specifically, whose souls were now at the nearby Yasukuni Shrine.

Aya and Yumeko watched around them - seeing other Yamato Shōjo gathering - and as if unsurprisingly, even if it was just arguably - the other Yamato Shōjo who were also summoned were all of the Jirai Kei and Gothic Lolita fashion and social affinity. Contrasting with the other crowd - the well-wishers who chanted “BANZAI!” while raising the re-legalized Rising Sun War Flags with both arms in unison with each chant. It was time to board the space shuttle - a two hundred foot, quite wide, triangular white and red digital camouflage military space transport vehicle that was pointed upwards toward the heaven, towards the shared, scared realm of Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto. Aya then turned to Yumeko, as there there only five or so other shōjo in front of her now, and though no words were exchanged - one last, wet, deep, kiss was shared between them - one last saliva trail connecting their lips as Aya and Yumeko stared into each other’s eyes. Then, Aya boarded the imposing, perfectly smooth, white and red digital camouflage, wide triangular space shuttle Space Shuttle. Her form was scanned by an AI powered gate as was every other shōjo who boarded, to ensure that all who were summoned were present and accounted for. Once Aya was out of sight and on the vessel - sitting in a singular, barely padded seat in one of the rows of three - of which these rows went three across inside the vessel - Yumeko still stood there outside. She checked her hologram phone, and the time displayed was 9:00 AM, and as she tapped into her phone, then seeing an important document that she signed a one page, digital document that when signed - would instantly submit. The document in question was entitled the Voluntary Enlistment Form for the DDA Military Forces - JSDF Version, and the JSDF Speciality that was selected was called the Special Unit: Sakura Kamikaze Launch Control and Munition Technician - and not even one minute after Yumeko opened the digital document, she signed it and it was submitted, with the following message appearing on her hologram phone’s screen:

“Congratulations - you have now formally enlisted in the JSDF Component of the DDA Military Forces as a Special Unit: Sakura Kamikaze Launch Control and Munition Technician! After an automated assessment of your medical and legal public records - your enlistment has been approved. Please report to the Tokyo Space Departure and Landing Station no latter than December 26, 2111. BANZAI!”

The message then disappeared from the hologram phone’s screen as Yumeko smiled. Not even fifteen minutes later - the vessel that had taken Aya and the other shōjo recruits into space - it had returned and Yumeko boarded, the only passenger to do so at this time of the day.
