Best friends for life with a cute tsundere [End]

Birds chirped as Nina and I sat with our newborn child on the patio. I couldn't believe this moment was truly here. Years had flown by, but now, just like Leona and Mukuro, Rika and Masaru, and of course Madoka and all her friends, we too had our happiness. 

"It's a girl... We finally gonna name her?" Nina asked. 

"Tsun."

"Soon?"

"No, we should name her Tsun."

Nina gave me a weird look.

"How about Tree?"

"Do I look like Sakura?"

"Look, I'm bad with names. How about Sarah?"

"I'll take it."

The little one slowly raised her tiny hand, patting us both as if to approve of the name. Sarah it would be. 

Now, I need to clear one final thing up. 

"Nina, I love you, but let me tell it to you again. When the world depressed me, began worsening my mental state, I began to lock myself away. It was never this bad, but I guess a dumb zoomer like me just failed at life as I grew out of childhood. Then came the 2020s, but shortly after, light. Light finally came in the form of you. I had no one, just family who I often shunned for no logical reason, but you changed me. I had life again, I went out more, I slowly got over my fear of animals, and it was all thanks to you. There might still be the occasional flaw, but thanks to you, I can live life again."

Nina slowly smiled. "Then I've served my purpose."

Slowly, she faded away along with Sarah, yet I saw them off with a tearful smile. I always had a feeling this was all just in my head, yet it was worth it. Still, I wish Nina truly was real, and that we could truly start our family together. But I guess, reality is not so perfect.

I slowly stopped typing and turned to the empty seat next to me. "If I was in a work of fiction, I'd have my happiness, but sadly, I'm a denizen of reality."

But as I turned the other direction, there was Muramasa Jouzu.

"Oi, you are a work of fiction."

"Right. And is Nina and Sarah's vanishing act your doing too?"

"Just thought I'd pull that since the author is deciding to give you a proper ending."

And just like that, Nina and Sarah were back, and were joined by a guy I can only assume is the "author".

"Oh hey, we're real again," Nina smiled as Sarah began to happily babble.

"And your deal, Mr. Author?" I snarled. 

"Look, I started this back on September 4th, 2023, and even though I mark this as finished, sometimes, I do one-off chapters. Yet, I never gave you guys a proper ending. This does just that, and should I ever feel like doing more one-off chapters, I can pass them off as bonus chapters."

"Well, at least you're showing us proper love."

"Hey, I do hold this series in high-regard, but unlike you, I'm a denizen of reality, and thus subject to all the stress and hecticness of it, including, but not limited to having to write all these other series so I can fulfill a daily update quota. But now, I'm finally giving you the love you properly deserve. So shut up, enjoy time with your wife and daughter, because... you're a fictional character, meaning the happy life will be a true reality for you all. Congratulations."

And with that, Muramasa Jouzu and the author were gone, leaving me alone with Nina and Sarah. 

"And he was trying to have it be like you were the author, writing out a story with me being your imaginary girlfriend this whole time. This is billed as his most wholesome work out there, yet he tries pulling that ending on us? The nerve," Nina scowled. 

"Maybe, but luckily, that was just a fake-out. I love you, Nina."

"Good. And, I'm glad... Glad you do, because unlike that author who often forgot about us, you stuck with me and willed me into existence. Now, we have a child."

"And best of all, we can raise her with love and warmth, and she'll have the best life, as will us."

"Yeah."

And with that, we kissed. And so begins a new happy chapter of our tsun tsun lives.
