Battle against the V.L

Kira: And that’s the plan. Do you need me to go over it again?

Theo: Nah, I got it.

Kira: Alright, let’s do this thing.

Nuclei: Do what thing?

Kira: ... (They looked up and saw Nuclei on top of the fence.)

Nuclei: Nice plan you’ve got there — the old “distract and destroy.” I don’t think my boss will be very fond of it, though.

Kira: Our plan’s been compromised. Time for Plan B.

Theo: What’s Plan B?

Kira: Battle to the death! (Nuclei then jumped to where Radiax and the V.L. were, while Kira, Theo, and Camo Cloak jumped over the fence.)

Radiax: Told you they were going to come. Henchmen, at—

V.L. (Interrupting): No, I’ll fight him. I want to see how his powers work.

Kira: Hey, I’m also here.

Nuclei: You can fight the henchmen.

V.L.: Dome of Darkness and Solitude! (He raised his hands, and a beam of dark blue light shot out. In an instant, the V.L., Theo, and unknowingly Camo Cloak were trapped inside a force field.)

V.L.: You and me. One on one. No intervention.

Meanwhile…

Kira: I can’t believe this! I’ve had my powers for two and a half years, Theo just got his, a couple of hours ago, and he gets to fight the V.L.? That should be me! (She blocked and dodged attacks from the henchmen.)

Kira: I’m done wasting time on low-level ingrates like you. Full Body Repulsion! (A powerful shockwave burst from her body, hurling the henchmen and debris in all directions.)

Radiax: Okay, I see you’re done with the appetizer. Time for the main course — a platter of knuckle sandwiches with a jalapeño kick.

Kira: Wherever you get your one-liners from, I suggest you ask for a refund.

Radiax: Let’s see if you can make fun of this — Celestial Orb! (He pressed his palms together, slowly pulling them apart as a sparkling orb formed between them. With a flick of his wrists, he hurled it forward, leaving a shimmering trail in the air. It glided toward her — slow at first. Without flinching, she sidestepped it with ease, her eyes never leaving him.)

Kira (sarcastically): Wow, that was a very powerful attack. I barely dodged it. (Suddenly, the orb looped around, duplicated, shrunk, and moved twice as quickly.)

Kira: What—? (She quickly dodged it. The same thing happened again and again.)

Radiax: Every time you dodge this attack, it duplicates and increases in speed and power.

Kira (to herself): If I keep dodging, it’ll get to a point where they’re too small to see.

Meanwhile…

V.L.: Show me your powers, kid, so I can at least see what you’re capable of before I destroy you. (Theo just looked at him, knowing Camo Cloak was about to act.)

Camo Cloak (to himself): If I can hit him with enough power, I can take him out in one attack. (He tried a spin kick, but the V.L. sensed the movement of air and jumped back before the kick could land.)

V.L.: What’s this — an invisible warrior? Radiax didn’t mention him. (Camo Cloak gave him three quick punches to the face, then a kick in the gut that sent him flying.)

V.L.: You think you have the advantage because of your invisibility? Think again — Devil’s Sight! (His eyes turned bright red. He grabbed Camo Cloak by the neck and hurled him upward into the dome, electrocuting him. After convulsing for a moment, Camo Cloak began falling, but the V.L. leapt up and punched him, sending him crashing to the ground.)

V.L.: Your invisibility is impressive — it hides your scent, your body, and anything that touches you. But it doesn’t hide your aura. No matter how you suppress it, these eyes can see your aura, making your invisibility useless against me.

Theo: I release you of your existence! (He began glowing and disappeared in a cloud of yellow smoke.)

V.L.: His aura is gone… how? Is it an even more powerful form of invisibility? No… he’s completely disappeared. And what is this yellow smoke?

Theo: Diamond Maiden! (His hands glowed, and a beam of light blasted upward. A female hero with a crystal body appeared in a cloud of yellow smoke.)

V.L.: Where did you come from?

Diamond Maiden: From a place that doesn’t concern you.

V.L.: It doesn’t matter where you came from — you’re still heading to the same place… death.

Diamond Maiden: We’ll see about that. (She shot crystal kunai from different parts of her body, but he easily dodged them.)

V.L.: Pathetic. I don’t even need my eyes for you. (He deactivated his Devil’s Sight.)

Diamond Maiden: That was just a taste of my power. (She transformed her hand into a shimmering crystal sword, pointing it at him before charging. He dodged, grabbed her hand, and hurled her toward the dome, expecting her to convulse — but she didn’t.)

Diamond Maiden: Fool. Diamonds don’t conduct electricity. (She morphed her fingers into shimmering crystal claws, slashing repeatedly. He dodged each strike — until she suddenly shifted her right hand into a crystal hammer and smashed it into the side of his face, sending him flying.)

V.L. (gritting his teeth): Enough of this! (In a flash, he appeared in front of her, grabbed her throat, and leapt into the air. With a fierce slam, he drove her into the ground. As she hit, he clenched his fist — an enormous aura-formed hand materialized above and crashed down with a thunderous punch.)

Diamond Maiden: Ugh.

Theo: I release you of your existence! (She glowed and disappeared in yellow smoke.)

Theo (to himself): This guy’s tough… who should I use?

V.L.: That same yellow smoke — you’re summoning those heroes!

Theo (panting): Reptilian Hero! (A beam of light shot up as Reptilian appeared, turning invisible.)

V.L.: Your invisibility isn’t as good as the other one. I don’t need my eyes for you.

Reptilian: Reptilian doesn’t like being underestimated. Reptilian will show who’s boss! (He lashed his tongue at the V.L., who caught it easily, swung him around, and threw him. Reptilian landed on his feet, charged with claws out, but the V.L. appeared behind him in a flash and struck him down with a single chop.)

Theo: I release you of your existence — Zaps! (Reptilian vanished, replaced by a male hero in a blue and gold suit with lightning symbols.)

V.L.: How many of these heroes do you have?

Theo: Enough to take you out.

V.L.: Hard to believe, since none have landed a decent blow.

Zaps: That’s because you’ve never faced me.

Theo: Try not to make it look too easy.

V.L.: Because of your big ego, I’ll make this painful. (He formed an aura arm and grabbed Zaps.)

Theo: The dome is electric — you know what to do.

Zaps: You trapped yourself in an electric dome with an electricity manipulator. Not smart. — Elector Bullet! (Electric sparks were sucked into his mouth, then he fired a blast faster than a bullet. It hit the V.L. in the forehead, sending him flying and dissipating the aura arm. Zaps dropped to the ground.)

Theo: Hit him again while he’s down!

Zaps: On it — Electro Zaps Attack 2! (Static electricity built up over his body as he rubbed his palms together.)

V.L.: As if I’ll stand here and wait. (He charged, throwing a punch, but Zaps dodged at lightning speed, then jumped back, raising his right hand.)

Zaps: Electro-Light… Bomb!!! (A huge glowing sphere crackling with electricity materialized. He hurled it forward.)

Theo: Yes! Direct hit — we did it!

V.L.: Think again. (He emerged from the smoke, clutching his shoulder, dark aura swirling around him.)

V.L.: Your tests are over. I’m ending this now. (He uppercut Zaps into the air.)

V.L.: Flames of the Underworld! (Dark flames roared toward Zaps.)

Theo: I release you of your existence!

V.L.: Enough of these heroes — Graveyard Silence! (He snapped his fingers.)

V.L.: As long as I keep my fingers together, you can’t talk. (Theo tried to speak, but no words came out.)

V.L.: No more heroes to hide behind. Let’s see what you can do. (Theo’s heart raced, sweat poured down his face. His crystal object began to glow and transformed into a golden sword. His pupils turned yellow. The V.L. punched, but Theo blocked with his C.O.)

V.L.: No… this is impossible. Why him, of all people?

Meanwhile…

Kira: I’m getting tired. I should’ve just let the first one hit me. (She dodged multiple orbs, now the size of grains of sand.)

Kira: I’ve got it! Full Body Repulsion! (She blasted all the orbs away, then ran toward the dome. The orbs followed her, and at the last second she jumped aside — the orbs slammed into the dome and exploded, weakening it.)

Kira: About time I got some action with the boss. (She used molecular kinesis to separate the dome’s molecules, creating a hole big enough to enter. Inside, she saw Theo wielding a golden sword, attacking the V.L., forcing him to separate his fingers.)

Kira: Seriously… is the world taunting me?
