The Chosen one

Theo: I always imagined I’d be a great fighter, but I didn’t know it would actually be true.

Kira: Of all people… I guess I have to tell the Guardian. (She activated her galaxom and called the Guardian.)

Kira: The kid is the Chosen One.

Guardian: What?! Let me see. (Kira showed the Guardian how Theo was fighting through the galaxom.)

Guardian: Is he fighting the V.L.?

Kira: Yes.

Guardian: I must tell the Council of Crystals. (He ended the transmission.)

Radiax: The nuclear bomb is ready.

V.L.: Finally. (He kicked Theo in the gut and hovered toward his throne.) Henchmen, stop those two from reaching the bomb. (The V.L., the goblins, and the throne disappeared in a cloud of black smoke.)

Theo: Taking you down will be easy with my newfound powers.

Nuclei: Are you sure about that? Because it looks like your power is fading. (The color of Theo’s pupils flickered between yellow and normal before finally returning to normal, and his C.O. reverted back.)

Nuclei: Henchmen, attack!

Kira: You fight the henchmen while I take down Nuclei.

Theo: Why do I have to fight the henchmen?

Kira: Because I fought them last time. (She jumped over the henchmen and charged toward Nuclei.)

Meanwhile

Radiax: Activating the nuke. (He pressed the red button. The bomb began to hover into the air, beeping.) Once this reaches the right altitude, I’ll be all-powerful.

Meanwhile

Theo: Sensei Baa! (Sensei Baa appeared.)

Theo: Use Sonic Destruction!

Sensei Baa: You got it. (He took a deep breath and charged his sonic blast, then unleashed it, blasting the henchmen away while Theo panted.)

Meanwhile

Kira: Time to get revenge for what you did to me in the warehouse! (She pulled Nuclei toward her, spun, and kicked him to the ground. He brought out his laser whip and charged at her, but she easily dodged. She kicked him down again, raised him into the air, and prepared the final blow—then Sensei Baa flew in, grabbed Nuclei, and slammed him down with a powerful kick.)

Kira: Hey! That was my win!

Theo: You snooze; you lose. (He released Sensei Baa.)

Kira: If we don’t stop that bomb, we’ll all lose.

Theo: I have an idea. We’re gonna… (He whispered the plan to her.)

Radiax: Just a couple of seconds now…

Theo: We’ll see about that. Bulbe! (He summoned a robotic orb with glowing blue lines and one eye in the center.)

Radiax: Gigantic Spiral Attack!

Bulbe: Delete Blast! (It fired a white beam, pixelating and destroying the spiral attack.)

Theo: Now, commence the plan—Space Attack!

Kira: Gravitational Kinesis Attack II: Anti-Gravitational Beam! (She shot a beam at the bomb, sending it soaring faster toward space. Bulbe followed.)

Theo: Use the laser cannon! (Bulbe blasted the bomb, destroying it. It vanished in a cloud of yellow smoke.)

Radiax: Curse you all! I’ll get my revenge! (He vanished in a cloud of black smoke.)

Theo: Wow… we won.

Kira: Yeah, but now you’re going to need to talk with the Guardian. (She opened a portal to the Guardian’s chamber.)

Theo: Why can’t we teleport anywhere we want?

Kira: It only teleports to the Guardian’s chamber. The portal there can send you anywhere. (They walked into the portal.)

8:10 PM – Guardian’s Chamber

Guardian: Well done, Theo and Kira. You’ve successfully stopped Radiax’s plan. (He stood in front of six people in robes.)

Theo: Who are the people in robes?

Kira: They are the Council of Crystals.

Council Leader: I am the leader of the Council of Crystals.

Theo: So, why are you here?

Council Leader: Our role is to tell you about the Chosen Ones. Once every few hundred years, a holder of a C.O. on your planet is given exceptional powers. The first, Speedy—he had the power of speed, and with the Chosen One’s gift, he could manipulate time.

The second, Strechor—she could stretch her limbs to any length, and with the Chosen One’s gift, she could stretch objects around her.

The third, Illuminator—some called him the Human Torch Light—he could emit a blinding light, and with the Chosen One’s power, he could make a person see just darkness.

And finally, the fourth… you, Theo Krizma. You have been chosen as the Chosen One.

Theo: So that’s what I used to fight the V.L.?

Council Leader: Yes. Every Chosen One has enhanced physical abilities and can transform their crystal object into a weapon. It is the Council’s duty to train the Chosen to surpass the last. That’s why we’re adding a new person to your team. Decibolt, come forth. (A young figure in a black hoodie stepped forward from behind the six.)

Decibolt: So… which one am I training?

Council Leader: The boy. You will follow him to the mortal realm.

Decibolt: The mortal realm?! Where am I supposed to stay?

Theo: You can live with me. We’ve had an extra room ever since my brother and father were killed by a supervillain. That’s why I will stop the Villain Society—so no one else goes through the pain I went through.

Council Leader: It’s settled then. Decibolt, don’t disappoint me. Crystal Portal! (He opened a portal made of crystals, and the council walked through.)

Kira: I guess we should be off too. (They all stepped through the portal.)

8:20 PM – Theo’s Room (Theo and Decibolt stepped out of the portal.)

Theo: Hey, where’s Kira?

Galaxom: Incoming message from Kira.

Kira: If you’re wondering where I am, I went back home to rest.

Theo: Okay, good to know. Now… how do I introduce you to my mom? She’ll be back in a few minutes. Before she comes, let’s get to know each other. How old are you?

Decibolt: Instead of asking questions like a journalist, shouldn’t you deactivate your suit?

Theo: Oh—thanks.

Decibolt: Anyway, I’m 15 millennia old. But time in the Crystal Realm moves faster than here, so if you convert it, I’m 15 years old. I— (He was cut off by the sound of the door opening.)

Theo: Oh no, my mom’s back! Let’s go. (Downstairs, Mrs. Krizma entered and saw Decibolt first.)

Mrs. Krizma: Ahh! Intruder!

Theo: No, Mom! This is my friend.

Mrs. Krizma: Well, does your friend have a name?

Theo: Yeah, it’s umm… Hakim. Hakim Crystanda. Can he live with us? His home and parents were destroyed by a supervillain. He can stay in Mike’s room.

Mrs. Krizma: Yeah, sure. Sorry about your parents.

Hakim: Thanks.
