riko's team members

Riko and Ryo walked through the city streets togather .

their steps echoed faintky between the tall buildings until they stopped mear zn all-girls high school in the southem district .

from the school gate emerged a blonde girle , her hair tied neatly behund her head and her bright blue ayes .

this is Aki Nishimura , Ryo said , sixteen years old , she's a year now , d'ont let that cute face fool you .

they continued walking , soon passing a small restaurant that smelled of fresh soup and grilled meat .

Behind the counter , a man was chopping vegetables at incredible speed , his hair was short , his movements steady , and his calm eyes somehow gave off a sense of balance amidst the chaos .

that's Kaito Nagami , twenty -eight old . A chef and one of our most skilled and experienced members .

the two walked on until they reached a small bus stop .

just them , a tall girl with long , silky black hair stepped down from a bus , her steps were quiet , graceful .

she held her school bag close as she looked around 

her name is Rina Hozuki , seventeen , same age as you Riko , she's sharp and fright eningly precise in combat .

At the end of the little tour Ryo turned to face him

Riko realized then-his ordinary life was over , the carefree boy who spent his days flirting with girls was now part of somthing far more dangerous .

still , his worry didn't last long .

As he stood at the corner of the street , his eyes followed the girl named Rina 

what a beauty .... he thought A true Soul Hunter .

he followed her quietly from behind , pretending to be just onother passerby .

But Rina had flt his presence since the firt step 

she kept walking untill she turned into a quiet , empty side street .

then , in one swift motion - she spun around and kicked him square in the chest .

Riko hit the ground hard , gasping as pain shot through him 

when he looked , up , she was standing over him , her could blue eyes fisced on his .

In her hand shimmered a long sword made of pure , glowing blue light-formed from nothing .

who are you ? and why are you following me ?

wait , wait ! I wasn't planing anything weird !

he raised his hands quickly his voice trembling 

l'm the new member of your team ! Ryo told me to find you 

Rina blinked slowly , her expression easing .

the blade vanished as quickly as it had appeared .

so .... you're the one Ryo mentioned 

Riko groaned , rubbing his chest .

yeah , I think you just broke my rib , great way to welcome a new teammate .

her cold star didn't change

don't follow to girls around like that again .

she turned to leave , but his voice stopped

Rina looked back at him , silent .

Ryo said we'd be working together on missions , so .... how will I know when we're meeting ?

I mean , do you guys call each other ? text ? secret meetings or something ?

while he was still on the ground she walked up to him and leaned down slightly .

he couldn't help but grin as he watched he type in his number

that night , Riko lay in bed staring at the ceiling after a day full surprises .

he picked up his phone , smiling

will she call me ? Maybe to say good night .... or apologize for that kick ?

just them ,his phone rang .

he nearly fell off the bed it was her 

he cleared his throat and tried to sound calm

Hello , Rina I didn't texpect ....

Riko , no time to talk , her voice come through , sharp and serious 

there's a spirit - right next to your house .

Riko froze

he let out a nervous laugh 

we're already close to your location , she continued _

But before she could finish , a loud crash shattered his window 

the entire house trembled .

A massive creature burst through the wall of his room - its body made of dense , writhing shadow , its eyes glowing a deep , blood - red hue  staring straight at him .
