Chapter 11 - Despair

_ Moana : “ Nice to meet you, I am the leader of the Cursed Village and my name is Moana.

_ Ay: “ Nice to meet you, my name is Ay, I'm 20 years old. Thank you so much for welcoming us to your village. ”

_ Moana: “ No problem, Gwen explained the situation to me. You must be tired from your journey. Follow me, I'll get you settled into our cabins. ”

Ay looks around and spots some kids just behind her. Her curiosity gets the better of her.

_ Ay: “ Oh, there are young children here. ”

She heads in their direction with Gwen.

_ Ay: “ Go ahead without me, I'll catch up later. ”

_ Moana: “ Okay. ”

Moana leaves with Ay's tribe.

_ Ay: “ Hey, nice to meet you, my name is Ay. From now on, we're going to live together. ” she said with a smile.

_ Hazel: “ Is it true that you're a doctor? ”

_ Ay: “ Yes, I'll be taking care of medical care in this village from now on. ”

_ Shailly: “ That's awesome! ”

Son's eyes sparkle.

_ Son: “ If you're a doctor, you must have a crazy source, right? ”

_ Ay: “ Haha, not really, and I don't use my Source to heal. I use the knowledge and skills I have. ”

_ Shailly: “ That's great! ”

_ Hazel: “ So what is your Source then? ”

_ Ay: “ My Source is water. I'm in Elementary Class. ”

_ Son: “ Stylish! ”

The orphans and Ay stare at Jenna.

_ Ay: “ That's right, why? Do you have one too? ”

Ay's jaw opens slightly, her eyebrow raised.

_ Ay: “ It's a derivative of water but in a solid state. How interesting. ”

Jenna blushed with joy.

_ Gwen: “ Let's go, Ay. ”

_ Ay: “ Sure. ”

They leave to join the other villagers and Moana.

_ Son: “ She looks so cool! ”

_ Jenna: “ Y... Yes! ”

7:30 p.m. The sun sets, gradually giving way to dense, thick darkness. A chill begins to fill the air.

_ Hazel: “ By the way, it's been a long time since the guardian Keren, Ayden, and Maïko left, don't you think? ”

Kona rests her chin on her hand.

_ Kona: “ That's right, it's almost time to eat and they still haven't arrived. ”

Relaxed, Son puts his hands behind his head.

_ Son: “ Don't worry, they must have picked up a lot of supplies and it's taking them a while. ”

_ Hazel: “ That's exactly the problem. ”

_ Hazel: “ Usually, the boss only leaves me for a few hours to go on her explorations. But this time, they left late in the morning and still haven't come back. ”

Gwen's eyebrows raise.

_ Moana: “ That said, they're taking their time. The arrival of Ay's tribe made me lose time, but now I plan to go looking for them. ”

_ Gwen: “ When did they leave? ”

Despite Gwen's impassive face, a feeling of unease begins to grow.

Moana heads toward the corral to get a horse. But suddenly, a scream rings out at the entrance to the village.

_ Ay: “ What was that? ” she said, very surprised.

_ Gwen: “ It came from the village entrance. Let's hurry! ”

Everyone heads toward the screams, including the orphans and a few villagers. Upon arrival, they witness a scene of horror.

_ Ayden: “ KEREN GUARDIAN... SOMEONE SAVE THE KEREN GUARDIAN!! ”
