Explosion of sadness/happiness

"What isss that?" says Alyx with a trambling voice, not only him but Maria as well, they both look so shocked, and thats when they see a big zeppelin flying in the heavy dark sky of that night.

That zeppelin has some source of a speaker, so thats when a voice starts talking."Attention everyone,attention please, here is your beloved majesty King Vlad. I'm here to make an important communication. Me, King Vlad the king from the north kingdom and the rest of the representatives from each nation came to an agreement, the world we live in is now to much overcrowded, there is not much space for all of you and everyone lives in horrible conditions. The world population is now 25 billion people, sometimes peace has a cost so we agreed that some people must be sacrificed, so with that said the 4 kingdoms are going to team up and use nuclear power to kill as much people as possible, and the rules are simple.The attacks will be randomly executed, so be prepared at any time, the attacks will have a duration of 5 minutes and after that it will stop, the number of the attacks are unkown since we only will stop once world population drops to a beneficial number. Our goal it's to give our people a better life but for that to happen we need to shoot some fire, this operation may take 1 month, 1 year,5 years, we don't know yet.Be prepared and good luck. (end of the speech).

"WHATTT THE HECKKKKK" , "HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE", "YOU MONSTERSSS!" everyone in the city started to freak out, not just in north kingdom, but at the time this speech of King Vlad started to play,  it simultaneously happened the same in the other 3 nations with the respective king talking, the whole world is now freakin up. 

So Maria says" Alyx I'm scared, are we gonna die?"

"Relaxxx Maria, we gonna be alright, we just need to find a shelter and leave as soon as possible" Alyx tries to play it cool but he is scared to death.

"Let's runaway together then, right now."

"Waittt we need to first search for the best place to hide we can't runaway so easily like that we need to have a plan."

"But if the attacks begin right away... we need to go NOW."

 Maria is the only one who thinks in the possibility of a surprise attack right after the speech, and she is right.

(zzzzzssssshhhh.......BOOOMMM) the first rocket was launched right in the middle of the north capital

"NOOO WAYYYY LOOK AT THE SKY WE ARE GONNA DIE, MARIAAA LETS ESCAPE RIGHT NOW " says Alyx in panic, regretting the way he thinked about the attacks.

"ALYXXXX WATCH OUTTT!" says Maria with some tears in her eyes , watching a rain of rockets about to explode nearby... (BOOOOOMMMMMM) before Alyx could even think 2 rockets explode in about 100 meters of his house, not just in the north kingdom but all the kingdoms suffered this surprised attack.

After 5 minutes of explosions Alyx wakes up in the street feeling dizzy, "AGHH my head hurts" so he touched his head and saw blood," ARRR I'm bleeding... Maria where are..." Alyx gets up and see a bunch of dead bodys in the ground, the dusty streets of the north capital are now covered in blood, he could sense the smell of the death bodys around, but he ignored it so he could find Maria" MARIAAAA WOIII WHERE ARE YOU?" Maria didn't responde " TCHHH I can't see a thing in front of me, the air it's all dusty and the walls of the  buildings are covering every angle...Maria youuu can't die... please" so he starts to cry a lot, then he saw on his feet, a very strong image... WIlliam Lancaster's head, one of the explosions decapitated him, "daddd...".

"ALYXXXX" exclaims Esteban who run to check if Alyx is ok, "Alyx we need to find a safe place letsss go" Esteban carries on Alyx so they can be safe in a place nearby.

"Estebannn your arm whattt happened ?"

"It's ok, forget that now" 

So they arrive at the abandoned park that remain the same way even after the attack.

"Are you ok Alyx, your head is bleeding we need to..."

"Everyone... why is this happening... so many deaths at once... this isn't right... Maria... I don't know where she is... I wish she is still alive"

"ok just breath man, calm down ok"

"My dad... he is dead...I saw his head decapitated..."

Esteban is very worried at this point, Alyx is still crying but all of a sudden he starts to smile like he is happy, and starts to giggle a little, with tears in his eyes and a weird creppy smile Alyx seems kinda confused, Esteban starts to freak out.

Is it possible that Alyx is sad and happy at the same time?

What fate will the world take from now?

And where is Maria? is she dead?
