Prologue

“I don’t understand.”

“The eyes. I always see the eyes.”

“The eyes?”

“Yes, the eyes. They’re invaders, a plague of my dreams. And I know I’m not the only one.”

“There are others like you?”

“Ha! There are tons! But most of them will keep quiet and refuse to speak! But I know exactly what they think!”

“What are these eyes you speak of?”

“I don’t know their names. But they always stare at me, pleading and begging. And I’m powerless to help them. Hell, I’m the reason they’re begging.”

“Well, moving on-”

“THE EYES! I’m telling you, they’ll get me one day! They’ll drag me down where the light of day doesn’t reach! They’ll-”

“Sir, please calm down. You’ll upset the viewers.”

“THE EYES! THE EYES! EVEN NOW THEY WATCH ME! AND IT’S BECAUSE I’M THE ONE WHO KILL-”
