Prelude to the character spotlights [Special feature intro]

"And welcome back to Tokyo! Kisha Shinbun here with Mario the author, because he just can't help but drag things out when it comes to making content!" Kisha declared. 

This intro shtick was planned though.

"Sure, sure. Says the guy who passed "Delay Notice" off as a chapter.

Regardless of Kisha's sentiments, I want to take the time to outline how exactly these spotlights will go. As many know, I always provide a brief bio of a character in my Author Commentaries which includes their name as it would be spelled in Japanese and their native language(s) if applicable, their birthday, and their favorite chess piece. Occasionally, I'll provide some more insight into their characters, but not always. 

Now then, with over 600 characters in this series, just who am I going to focus on? First off, let me tell you who I won't be focusing on. The main cast, major side characters, and major villains all fall into this group. The main aim for this first round will be primarily on SPCMs and DSPCMs, though I might also do some profiles on non-SPCM/DSPCMs if I so choose.

Somewhat. That being said, SPCMs and DSPCMs that already have gotten a huge focus and have already had everything I wish to reveal about them up to this point revealed in-story or via Author Commentaries won't be featured here. This means you shouldn't expect any spotlights on characters like Mizuse or Sandy as they've already gotten main series Side Stories devoted to them. 

"So who will be first?"

You'll just have to wait and see.

"How long will this be for?"

Until I feel like writing more main series stuff, that's when.
