Spotlight #3: Alice and Mimosa

Alice  and Mimosa Utsugi, both age 21. Alice and her twin sister, Mimosa were born to a French mother and Japanese father. Growing up in France, the two have been inseparable since birth.  This closeness and connection quickly transcended the normal bounds of familiar love, warping into romantic love by the time the two were in high school. Though France's laws didn't exactly criminalize their relationship, it didn't mean society wouldn't gaze upon them in disgust and contempt for their incestual relationship. 

Like some of her fellow French SPCMs, Alice works in the fashion industry, primarily as a makeup artist and stylist. Mimosa also works closely with her as a photographer, though often times she herself finds herself in the makeup chair for Alice to play around with. Having her sister make her up is one of Mimosa's favorite things in life, just short of kissing and snuggling with her. As such, so long as Alice is the one styling her, she'll take on any drastic or radical look with pride and happiness. 

This also makes Alice happy as it gives her an exclusive model to hone her skills with. And speaking of skills, the two are perfectly even with each other when it comes to chess. Both are talented international masters, but when they play each other, 9 times out of 10 the match will end in a draw, and even then, 95% of the decisive games are Armageddon matches while the other 5% tend to be more informal, testing out new ideas, kind of matches. 

As the older sister, Alice has a strong philosophy that fellow older siblings, especially twin ones, must unconditionally be the guardian of their younger sibling, and never take advantage of them for their own benefit. This puts her at odds with Tenju, who she views as violating this creed due to her failure to save Taira. This is further enhanced due to the friendship Alice had with Taira and the fact that she sees parallels between Tenju and Taira's relationship with herself and Mimosa. 

Of the two sisters, Alice easily has the bigger workload thanks to her SPCM duties. Though maestro Alexandre approached both with the proposal of appointing one to be an SPCM, Mimosa turned down the offer with Alice agreeing to it. To Alice, this new revenue source was her way of paying Mimosa back for all the help she gave her with her makeup career. Though Mimosa has yet to gain the ability to warp to secret puzzle cafes freely, she'll always wait for her sister's return at Alice's secret puzzle cafe in Nice.
