Chapter 13:

Descent of the Abyss

Tatva- The Awakening of Elements

The storm screamed over the battlefield, but all sound fell away before the glow of the Abyssal Dome.A swirling sphere of crimson energy rose from the shattered coast, its walls rippling like molten glass. Inside it, only two figures remained — Kedar and Karkotaka.
Yet before the dome sealed, something happened that would change the fight forever.

---
The Last Gift
Kedar lay on one knee, his body burned and trembling. Every breath came like fire. The monster loomed ahead, charging the last of its energy — the dome’s pulse matching the rhythm of its heart.
> “You fought well,” Karkotaka said, voice cold and regal. “But your flame is dying.”

Before Kedar could respond, Aryan’s voice cut through the comms.
> “Not yet he isn’t.”

From beyond the forming barrier, Aryan sprinted toward him — armor half-broken, visor cracked. In his hand, a small glass capsule shimmered blue.
He tossed it just before the dome hardened.Kedar caught it by instinct. The barrier closed with a thunderclap.
Through the glowing wall, Aryan shouted:
> “That’s my last Nanite Rejuvenator! Drink it — it’ll restore your vitals for a few minutes. Make them count!”

The liquid burned down Kedar’s throat like lightning. His pulse steadied. His wounds began to knit, breath clearing, eyes focusing again.
Behind Aryan, Shakti stumbled forward, her glaive flickering out.
> “Kedar!” she called, pressing both palms to the barrier. “I’m out of power — but take what’s left of mine!”

Her aura — soft violet light — flowed through the dome, forming threads of energy that wrapped around his chest.Anant followed, kneeling beside her, placing his palms over hers.
> “And mine too. You’ll need it to keep your fire burning.”

Golden energy surged alongside hers, merging into Kedar’s core. His flames reignited — deeper, steadier, no longer wild rage but focused will.
> “You three…” Kedar whispered, eyes wet with light. “I won’t waste this.”

Aryan smirked. “Then finish what we started.”

---
The Dome Seals
Karkotaka watched in silence, his expression unreadable.
> “Sentiment. Mortals always cling to it… and yet, it’s the one thing you wield better than gods.”

He raised one claw, pressing it to the air — the dome flared, sealing completely. The outside world vanished into red haze. Only the two of them remained, surrounded by boiling water and light.
> “Now, no interruptions,” Karkotaka said. “Just you… and extinction.”

Kedar’s flames flared higher, the merged Prana dancing around him like wings.
> “No,” he answered quietly. “Just me — and redemption.”

The two charged.

---
Clash of Titans
The first impact cracked the ground.Fire met abyssal water, vapor exploding outward in a storm of steam.
Karkotaka’s blade-like arm slashed downward — Kedar dodged, countered with a burning hook. The strike landed, sending the creature staggering, but the next second, its tail whipped around, smashing Kedar into the dome wall.
He rebounded, flipping midair, landing hard but upright.
> “You’re faster than before,” Karkotaka noted, almost admiringly.

> “I’ve got good friends,” Kedar replied, summoning his flames again.

The monster grinned, spreading his arms.
> “Then let me show you how little that means in the abyss!”

He clapped his claws — the dome’s light dimmed. The floor beneath them opened, water flooding upward. Both were dragged down, deeper and deeper, until they stood at the bottom of the Abyssal Basin — an undersea crater filled with glowing coral and ancient ruins.
Pressure crushed the air around them.Kedar’s flames flickered under the weight of the sea — yet refused to die.
> “Welcome,” Karkotaka said, stepping through the water unhindered. “To my world.”

---
The Heartbeat of the Deep
Outside the dome, Aryan’s sensors blinked red.
> “He’s taken him under. I can’t see through that depth — the energy density’s off the charts.”

Shakti clenched her fists. “We just have to believe he’ll come back.”Anant’s eyes narrowed. “He will. That flame’s not ordinary anymore.”
Back inside, Kedar stood surrounded by water, his aura forming a thin barrier of heat to breathe. His Fire Prana was unstable — burning in the one place fire shouldn’t exist.
> “You think the sea can extinguish me?” he said through clenched teeth.

Karkotaka smirked. “No. I think it will reveal you.”
He lunged. The final phase began.
