Chapter 14:

Wrath of Flame

Tatva- The Awakening of Elements

The sea floor trembled as fire and abyss clashed.
Inside the glowing crimson dome, the abyss roared alive — spirals of steam and molten light churned around two figures locked in a battle beyond mortal scale.
Kedar’s body burned, every movement tearing at his limits. His vision blurred, blood mixing with the saltwater. Across from him, Karkotaka, King of the Abyss, stood unscathed — his shell gleaming like dark metal, eyes glowing with deep-sea fury.
> “You’re strong, boy,” the creature rumbled, “but your body’s still flesh. The ocean devours fire.”

> “Then I’ll turn the ocean to ash,” Kedar growled, charging again.

---
A Duel in the Deep
Kedar’s punch landed square in Karkotaka’s chest, the impact creating a boiling shockwave. But the beast barely flinched — its claw came down like a hammer, smashing Kedar into the coral floor.
Cracks webbed across the dome.Kedar’s breath came ragged. The borrowed Prana from Shakti and Anant was fading fast.
I can’t… stop here.
He forced himself up, clutching his chest. His Fire Prana flickered erratically — wild, unstable, and yet fiercely alive.
> “You fight well for a mortal,” Karkotaka said, stepping closer, voice echoing like thunder underwater. “But you’re no Rudravan… not yet.”

That name. That word again.Something inside Kedar’s mind flared — an image of red flames, a clan symbol burning in darkness, screams echoing through mist. He didn’t know why it hurt so much.
> “Don’t say that name!” he shouted, his aura bursting outward.

Fire surged from his core, brighter than before — but the ocean pressed down harder, smothering it.
Karkotaka struck again. Kedar blocked, barely, his arms burning from impact. Then a whip-like tail coiled around him, tightening like an iron snake.
> “Enough,” the monster said. “Sleep beneath the waves.”

Kedar screamed as the pressure crushed his ribs.

---
The Edge of Death
Outside the dome, Aryan’s vitals display spiked.
> “His heart rate’s dropping—Kedar, don’t you dare!”

Shakti clenched her fists, trembling. “He’s… he’s dying.”
Anant slammed his hand against the barrier. “Come on, brother. Burn!”
Inside, Kedar’s vision dimmed. The world blurred into red and blue streaks. Then — a voice.
Soft. Familiar. Distant.
> “When your flame flickers, remember… it is not meant to warm. It is meant to endure.”

Guru Vishant’s words. The memory hit him like lightning.
> “Endure…” he whispered.

Something within him — something deeper than rage — cracked open.
His Fire Prana twisted, turning golden at the edges. His heartbeat slowed… then roared back to life, stronger, faster.
His eyes snapped open, glowing molten red.

---
Rosha Ignition
> “What… is this?” Karkotaka stepped back, for the first time unsure.

Kedar stood, flames erupting from his body despite the crushing ocean. But these weren’t ordinary flames — they shimmered gold and scarlet, forming patterns like ancient seals across his skin.
His hair blazed with faint ember light, and his wounds began to seal shut.
> “This,” Kedar said, voice deeper, calm yet seething, “is my last resort.”

The dome itself began to vibrate. The sea boiled.
> “Rosha,” whispered Kedar. “The will to burn brighter when you should’ve died.”

He raised his hand — Fire Prana surged upward, mixing with the Rosha’s energy. The two fused, spiraling into a new aura that bent the water around him.
The Rudravan Flame was born.

---
The Final Clash
Karkotaka roared, slamming both claws down, summoning vortexes of water that could crush stone. Kedar dashed forward, moving faster than sight, leaving trails of golden light behind.
Their attacks met in a single, blinding explosion.
Steam filled the dome, pressure waves shaking the ocean above.
Kedar appeared behind Karkotaka, punching with such force that the monster’s armor cracked — for the first time, its ichor bled.
> “Impossible!” Karkotaka roared, spinning, claws slashing in fury.

Kedar blocked with both arms, sliding back, fire streaking behind his feet.
> “This is for Shakti! For Anant! For everyone you tried to drown!”

His aura exploded outward, and in that instant, he gathered every last ember of Rosha and Fire Prana into his palm.
> “Rudra Strike!”

The punch connected with Karkotaka’s chest.A blinding light tore through the dome, piercing the sea and breaking the surface. The shockwave blasted through the coastline, shaking the entire barrier field surrounding Sagarur.
Outside, Aryan shielded his eyes.
> “He did it… he actually—”

The dome shattered.

---
Silence
The sea fell eerily still.Bubbles rose. Steam drifted.
Then, from the water’s edge, a faint ember glowed — Kedar, drifting upward, unconscious but alive.Below him, Karkotaka’s massive body sank into the deep, its shell split open, crimson energy fading into black.
For a heartbeat, it seemed over. But as the monster’s corpse disappeared into the abyss, a low rumble echoed — almost a whisper:
> “This… is not my end, mortal flame. The Abyss remembers.”

And then it was gone.
Aryan dove in, hauling Kedar to shore. Shakti and Anant rushed to him, exhausted but smiling weakly.
> “You did it,” Anant said softly.

> “No…” Aryan looked toward the sea, frowning. “He survived.”

The water shimmered darkly for a moment — then stilled.
The storm was over.For now.
