1: Exchange Student!

Miraru writes on the blackboard. "Miraru Arimu", once in katakana and once in kanji. 

"Hello, everyone. My name is Miraru Arimu. Please call me Miraru-chan. It is nice to meet you." 

The sunlight from the classroom windows hits them just right, and they glow foreign, otherworldly. Their blond hair is in split pigtails. They adorn a humble and neat school uniform (a while blouse and a blue skirt), and a bracelet of jasmine flowers on their wrist. Their backpack is packed heavily with untold past and stories. 

"I am from Wales, which is part of the UK. I came here with my family." They glance to meet their classmates' curious eyes, so they turn around to draw a rough drawing of the UK. "Here is Scotland, this is Ireland, here is England, and this little part is Wales." They label each part. 

"But let's not bore you with the Western geography. Let me show you a trick." They flick their hand to reveal a deck of cards. They shuffle and play with the cards for a second. "In the West, we call this the politician's shuffle. It is fancy, but it doesn't do anything." Small giggles from the class and Miss Hasegawa (the teacher). 

Miraru picks a card, flicks it, and it turns into a white bird. It sits on Miraru's fingers for a few seconds before flying out of the window. Miss Hasegawa approaches to tell them, "Animals aren't allowed in the school." Miraru looks at her with a poker face and says, "What animal?" Miss Hasegawa sighs. "Go get your seat."
