Chapter 2:

Despair and Vengeance: Toriyama vs Yoroi

The Supernaturals: Beyond Normalcy

Yoroi snapped his fingers, and two men turned to the girl, firing a torrent of bullets at her.

Toriyama’s feet broke the floor as he ran toward her, shielding her and deflecting the bullets.

One bullet entered her stomach, and blood spilled out. The remaining bullets didn't hit her and they had no effect against his hardened skin.

Toriyama’s rage resurfaced. He lunged at the goon on the left, kicking his head off, then sank his sharp fangs into the second goon’s neck, ripping flesh.

The goon fell, unable to shoot. Toriyama ripped the goon’s throat out, his eyes scanning the rest of the room.

Yoroi was already outside the apartment as Toriyama roared, his mouth dripping with blood and his cuffed hands gave way to multiple veins. Instead of using his energy to increase his strength, he relied on his usual minor superhuman power.

The remaining goons fired, but before they could react, Toriyama had already beheaded three of them simultaneously with a 360 back kick. Which left only two of them remaining.

He jumped between them, delivering a split kick that beheaded both in fast succession. Their heads rolled across the floor that had turned into a pool of crimson.

He rushed outside and saw Yoroi in a helicopter hovering above the apartment. Yoroi had a distasteful look on his face as he looked at him with hateful eyes.

"How does it feel Toriyama, tell me how it feels! Maybe now you will understand my suffering!!"

"Yoroi Tsuchiyama!!! Mark my words!! I am going to slaughter you, do you hear me!!!"

Toriyama's entire body shivered as his muscles bulged, his suit tearing. Yellow energy flowed out of his eyes as the handcuffs electrocuted him. He buckled on one knee, the intense electric shock overwhelming him.

"I have to keep standing, no matter what, I can't slow down now... He disserves absolutely no mercy."

With that said he stood up, regardless of the cuffs draining his energy and frying him at the same time.

Toriyama's rage erased his pupils, his entire body slowly being conquered by scale-like skin. His profile had given way to a beastly transformation.

His pupils weren't there; his fingers had small sharp nails while also covered in black scales.

He came close to a dragon with a humanoid form, a unique transformation only he possessed, but it has a major downside.

Whenever he uses it in anger he loses control and goes on a rampage, losing sight of who he is.

His neck and cheeks were also covered in reptilian skin, only his face remained somewhat human. He broke the cuffs easily with his unrestrained strength.

Without any warning he shot towards the helicopter and swung his fist. Yoroi’s invisible hand countered, causing the air to shift and the helicopter to lose control.

Yoroi escaped the helicopter as it impacted a building causing a deafening explosion a few minutes after. Toriyama landed on his feet causing the ground to ripple.

The neighborhood residents were in a frenzy as they evacuated the area. It was a standard practice for normies to stay as far away as they could from frays against two supernaturals, and this situation wasn't any different.

Yoroi landed in front of him. In an instant Toriyama closed the gap, his fist already inches away from Yoroi's stomach.

Sh*t!

Yoroi mused as the punch landed, sending him flying into the wall as dust swirled through the air.

He emerged from the dust and debris as he dusted himself off. A snarl rattled in his throat. “I hate to break it to you but I have the damage factor. It's futile, no matter how hard you hit me I won't take damage, so just give u—”

Another blow connected interrupting Yoroi's blabbering. His face was supposed to explode, but thanks to the damage factor he remained unfazed as his face remained intact, as if nothing had happened.

Yoroi’s Invisible protrusions came in contact with his hand as he threw a punch of his own that knocked Toriyama back, putting some distance between them. Feeling confident, he stretched his neck and wrists as he ranted.

“It's been awhile since I've had a proper fight, show me what you've got old man!”

Toriyama roared aggressively, his roar shattering the glass from the nearby buildings as he sprinted towards him and threw a powerful straight punch, but Yoroi dodged it swiftly by stepping to the side.

The force of the punch destroyed the road, and tore a hole through a skyscraper causing the entire building to quake.

Toriyama threw a flurry of punches in ultra fast motion as Yoroi used his invisible hands as a shield against these earth shattering fists.

I have to admit, even with my damage factor I'm still at a disadvantage here, I have to end this quickly before I run out of time.

Yoroi smirked, his footwork making him look like a professional break dancer, as he stepped back, dodging a jab then stepped forward as he launched a straight that was accompanied by an invisible hand.

Crack! It connected with Toriyama's face, cracking a few of his scales.

He followed with a left jab, a right straight, then powerful left hook that caused Toriyama's blood to spill over.

The combo put Toriyama in a daze as Yoroi got his footing back, then he pulled his right hand back gaining momentum and using four invisible hands as a reinforcement.

Yoroi fist swam through the air as the immensely powerful right hook collided with his cheek, sending him crashing into an apartment complex, bulldozing through its brick walls like a giant wrecking ball.

“Is that the best you can do, old man? And here I thought you were a paramount anomaly. You're nothing but an overrated joke!”

As Yoroi shouted in a loathsome tone the sound of a motorcycle engine became more apparent.

A purple portal opened right in front of him as a girl on a motorcycle popped out of the portal, her dark blue ponytail floating.

The motorcycle's front tire impacted his face as he fell flat on his back. The girl did the famous and well known Akira slide as two more individuals came through the portal.

On the right ambled Shintaro Mizuno, his silver hair swaying slightly. He wore the official Union uniform, his katana sheathed on his left side.

And on the left was Kaneki Nakanishi who stood 5’11” tall with short black hair and black titanium wings on his back.

Together, they were known as the three pillars of the Supernaturals’ Safety Union or the S.S.U. for short.

“The Union…” Yoroi grumbled as he stood up. Then in an instant he ran through the decimated building vaulted over the rubble and perched on a rooftop, determined to escape he sprinted away.

"Woah, that's a lot of damage, but I'd expect nothing less from two anomalies." Kaneki said as he looked around.

“Kaneki.” Shintaro spoke, a calm tone escaping his lips.

“...Yeah, yep, already on it.” Kaneki replied as he spread his wings, the titanium blades that resembled feathers unfolded with a sharp metallic clang that pulsated down the road.

He took off in a burst of speed as he sliced through the air. The low-hum of thrusters came to life as the wings unfolded completely, helping him stay airborne.

He pursued Yoroi while Shintaro and the girl on the motorcycle: Riyoka Fujita, inspected the decimated neighborhood.

Unexpectedly the ground gave way to tremors as Toriyama emerged from under the rubble.

"RAAARRRH! KRAA!” A deep, guttural roar escaped his open maw as he radiated a blinding yellow energy that lit up the entire neighborhood in an amber like light, the wind blowing aggressively, courtesy of Toriyama's powerful aura.

"How are we supposed to bring someone like him in, he'll destroy HQ. Shintaro-Kun, do you have any Ideas?"

“Just one, I need you to open a portal under me as soon as I give the signal. Make sure that it leads to the holding cells,”

“Roger.”

Toriyama stomped towards Shintaro as he blasted way up in the air and descended with an overhead kick.

Shintaro unsheathed his sword and slashed Toriyama's leg but instead of being severed the leg impacted the blade causing a shockwave.

“NOW!”

Riyoka opened a portal under Shintaro’s feet. The two of them fell through it as she followed on her motorcycle passing through the portal as it closed shut.

In a small café, two teenagers sat across from each other. A boy with snow‑white hair and shimmering blue eyes, and a girl with black hair and gentle brown eyes.

The boy felt a surge of powerful energy as he looked out the window, then suddenly his ears rang, a screeching sound finding its way to his skull.

He clapped his hands to his ears as he saw minor visions of Ryūnosuke Toriyama, someone he had never met in his life, he had only seen him a handful of times on the news.

He heard a voice shouting, “Mister Toriyama!!!” as his head ached all the more painfully.

“Saku, Saku, hey Saku!”

“Huh?”

“Is something wrong?”

“No, I’m fine. It was just a minor headache.”

“Okay, well, did you hear what I said?”

“No.”

“Of course you didn’t.”

Saku glanced out the window, a worried look crossing his face.

“Did you hear that?”

“Hear… what? Are you sure you're okay, you're acting kinda weird.”

“Nevermind… I guess it was my imagination.”

Saku continued looking towards the horizon where he felt a surge of energy eluding. A quiet introspective expression on his face.

What was that? He pondered silently, looking quite troubled and somewhat concerned.

Something had made him feel uneasy, and judging from the headache and the visions he had seen, it could only mean that trouble was slowly but surely... Festering.
