Chapter 6 Friends Old & New

Back in Edolis, Yuri wakes up from bed exhausted & hurt with Lira hugging him.

Yuri: *starts to wake up* (“Oh man what happened? Oh I remember now that Corrupt Zone. I was out for a while so I decided to take a break. Guess 2 days was long enough. Hey Lira u ok? What happened after I fell unconscious?”)

Lira: *hugs Yuri tightly & begins to ahead some tears* (“Oh Yuri I’m happy you’re back! I thought for a moment that you couldn’t log back in for some time.”)

Yuri: (“ Well even though we can be revived games like this have some restrictions. To be honest I didn’t know if Eidolon Nexus has a timeout for logging back in if you die so I waited for 2 days & now I’m in a bed. Sorry to keep you & everyone waiting. Speaking of…”)

Lira: *hugs Yuri tightly & begins to shed some tears* (“Oh Yuri I’m happy you’re back! I thought for a moment that you couldn’t log back in for some time.”)

Yuri: (“ Well even though we can be revived games like this have some restrictions. To be honest I didn’t know if Eidolon Nexus has a timeout for logging back in if you die so I waited for 2 days & now I’m in a bed. Sorry to keep you & everyone waiting. Speaking of…”)

Lira: (“Oh uh yes everyone was worried about you so we took you back to the capital & the royal family assisted in aiding you but in 2 days time they said u might wake up. Oh & someone else is here to see you.”)

Yuri: (“Someone else? Who could it be?”)

Lira: *Looks at the door* “Ok he’s awake. Come in but don’t try anything, understand?”

A man enters wearing red samurai armor with a wolf Eidolon & a great sword in his back.

Red Samurai: “Hey man I’m your ok & that you’re in the Nexus Kazuhiko.”

Yuri *gasps shockingly* Wait! Is it you Enoshima?

Flashback to the Corrupt Zone

Lira then reveals her wings 1 Pure white & the other 1 pitch black.

Lira charges at the Chimera giving Yuri time to heal the tainted people. By channeling the sword’s white healing magic Yuri gets ready to unleash the power

Yuri: (“I may be on this journey to save my sister but I don’t want to witness this world to go down. Not without a fight!”)

As the battle intensifies the Red Samurai watches getting ready to jump in while another person in all Black sees what’s happening as well.

The Samurai: “Well it’s time to help my old friend. You ready?”

He pets his wolf Eidolon, pulls out a greatsword & the 2 charge in. While the guy in black still looks over the commotion.

???: “Hmmm… Shall we Glitch? Best we help out & not bore ourselves right?”

The person in black pulls out duel daggers & his Eidolon enters the daggers enhancing them as he runs into the field as well.

Yuri begins glowing white overflowing with Light Magic & fights the corrupted Umbraform Eidolons plus trying to save the infected villagers.

Tsukuyomi: (“The Blessings I gave are working. For Mira & Tikka I gave them the blessing of corrupt immunity, For me & Lunith a Magic Boost, Yuri & Lira should have the offense & defense boost.”)

Tsukuyomi: *points her staff at the Eidolons* “Luckily in this game world Incantations work in any way you chant the spell. Sun & Moon grant me power. Freeze!”

Tsukuyomi freezes the people so Yuri can save them, but the Chimera attacks by commanding Amaterasu. Amaterasu lunges at Tsukuyomi with his spear but Yuri & Lira jump in to parry the attack at the right moment pushing him back.

Tsukuyomi: “Brother it’s me. Fight this curse inflicted on you!”

Amaterasu: “Tsumi?”

Chimera: “Don’t listen to them! I’m your master now! Prove your worth & kill them!”

Yuri: “Lira focus on the Eidolons I can save the people.”

Lira: “Very well just don’t get fatally hurt. If that happens to 1 of us we’ll both be offline for a while.”

Yuri: “Right! Luckily there are revive items. I hope.”

Amaterasu charges at Yuri & the 2 clash Sword & Spear. Amaterasu goes fast with a flurry of spear strikes but thanks to Yuri’s bond with Lira & the blessing he’s able to counter & endure the hits. Lira flys around fighting the Eidolons off but the corruption mark on her hand

Lira: (“If I have to, I will use it to help Master Yuri & those in need!”)

As Yuri fights Amaterasu the Chimera plans to play dirty by getting the jump on him but the Red Samurai jumps in the block the attack with his greatsword & counters it

Red Samurai: “ Now that isn’t fair! Hey you ok?

Yuri: “Yeah I am. Thanks for the assist! Oh Crap they won’t let up.”

Red Samurai: “Don’t worry I got your back. After all, I’m an old friend.”

Yuri: (“An Old Friend? Best be cautious.”)

Mira & Tikka continue to cleanse the Crystal of Corruption & they’re close to do so

Mira: “We’re almost done Tikka!”

Tikka: “Great the sooner the better because… *Tikka sees Yuri & Tsukuyomi getting tired* Looks like Yuri & Tsumi are doing their best too but getting tired as well.”

Mira: “Once this is over we’re going into the Nexus to investigate this problem.”

Just then as Rouge Eidolons plan to attack Tsukuyomi the person in black strikes them down with his twin daggers.

Tsukuyomi: “Oh No!”

???: “Don’t worry I got you. Glitch let’s do our thing.”

Lunith: “Could he be a ninja or an assassin?”

Tsukuyomi: “Guess we’ll find out afterwards.”

The mysterious person strikes the rouges down & Lira notices something

Lira: (“His twin blades. There is an Eidolon inside them & every strike is giving there enemy a debuff. Impressive! He could be useful for our team. Best to let Master know about them.”)

Yuri & The Red Samurai battle the Chimera & Amaterasu but the figure in black arrives to even the odds

???: “Leave the Spear guy to me. Save those people!”

Yuri: *knocks Amaterasu back* Thanks & don’t kill him he’s the brother of a client. I have to save him.

???: “Understood!”

Yuri: (“I don’t know who those 2 are but they’re saving us here so I hope to thank them afterwards.”)

Yuri hurries over to Tsukuyomi & begins to cure the villagers

Tsukuyomi: “Hurry I used an Ice Spell to freeze them but they’ll thaw out any minute.”

Yuri channels the Light Magic from Triselenis activating its Full Moon mode. He plants the sword into the ground & a Magic Circle is all over the people.

Yuri: “Full White Moon Selara hear my call! Help cure these people so they can return to enjoying life. Pure Moonlight heal!”

Moonlight comes out of nowhere healing the villagers by purging the Corrupt code from there bodies & healing them all over.

Tsukuyomi: “Everyone, my name is Tsukuyomi! Follow me back to the village. We’re here to save you all!

The villagers follow Tsukuyomi & Lunith back to Lunaris while everyone else finishes the clean up, but the mystery person decides to follow her to protect the others against the enemies

Yuri & Lira keep up the fight alongside the Red Samurai & his wolf Eidolon

Yuri: “Mira! Are you & Tikka done yet!?”

Mira: “Almost just a few more minutes!”

Tikka: “It would go faster if that Chimera was down!”

Lira: “We can’t kill it! That Chimera Eidolon is Amaterasu’s! It was mutated by all this!”

Yuri: “I can try to cure it with my new Light Magic but, will it work?”

Lira: “Best you do it Master I’ll cover you!”

Red Samurai: “My Wolf friend & I have your back!”

Yuri: (“Who is this guy? Yet it feels like I know him. His voice is familiar.”)

The 4 charge in with Lira still fighting the rouge Eidolons & Yuri targeting the Chimera & The Samurai going head to head Amaterasu. Amaterasu goes all out but the Red Samurai plus his wolf were able to handle the attacks by blocking & countering attacks. Yuri battles the Chimera each hit he delivers harms the creature & yerns it close to being cured but it puts up a powerful fight against our protagonist

Yuri: *hurt struggling a bit but happy* “I bet he used a poison attack on me! My Light Magic can remove it but not now! Guess I’m the type of person who’ll always help if family is involved.”

The Chimera attacks Yuri with its claws but he blocks 1 with his blade while the samurai stops the other just as it’s about to attack with its venomous snake tail Lira chops it off. The Chimera then bites Yuri hard on his right shoulder &

Yuri: *screams in pain*

Yuri’s eyes glowed showing a Platinum like color & then unleashed a white healing aura all around him clearing the purple fog & purifying the land but it wasn’t able to cure him. The Wildlife & Eidolons are back to normal as well. However the Chimera & Amaterasu are still eager to finish the fight. Lira thrusts her blade through the Chimera damaging the creature enough to not kill it.

Lira: *intimidating & threatening* “Be lucky that my Master doesn’t want you 2 dead, but if he dies I’m hunt you down and take your head!”

Lira left side begins to glow black showing her corruption side to the samurai who assisted in the fight. She tries to calm down as she sheaths her sword hand & dispels her Light & Dark wings.

Mira: “Hey! Great job! Tikka & I made sure that this won’t happen again & the Village of Lunaris will return to normal!”

Tikka: “What happened to Yuri & who are those 2?”

Lira: “I’ll fill you in later right now we need to save Yuri. I can keep him alive but the Capital has the best healing we need!”

Mira: “Go ahead I’ll take Tsukuyomi’s brother & his Eidolon back to the Village so the siblings can be together again. Also, I’ll tend to the Chimera’s wounds best it be fully healed when it’s Master is awaken otherwise…”

Lira: “Ok We’ll see you in a few. Keep in touch!”

Lira hurries back to the Edolis alongside the samurai who assisted them while Mira & Tikka go to Lunaris Village with Amaterasu who passed out from the Healing pulse to Tsukuyomi. In the 2 day process the Chimera was fully recovered & returned to its regular form of a lion cub named Surya. Amaterasu & Tsukuyomi were overjoyed to be back together but Tsumi worries about Yuri & Lira. So they decided to make their way back to the Capital. At the Castle(where this originally began) Yuri is still in bed & with Lira hugging him.

Yuri: “Kazuhiko? *surprised & then chuckles a little* I’m glad you remember me Kai!”

Lira: *shocked* “Wait Yuri you know this samurai?”

Yuri: “Not at 1st but when he said my last name & I figured it was… my old friend Kai Enoshima! He & I are neighbors who became friends! Actually, our moms introduced us to each other. We always hang out together. He’s like my best friend.”

Lira: “I see.”

Kai: *hugs Yuri* “Good to see you in this world Yuto. I can’t believe you’re the Hydra Slayer & Hero of the Eidolon Capital City Edolis. You really are something else when it comes to these games

Yuri: What can I say it’s like being Isekai’d! Oh uh by the way Kai in here call me Yuri Eclipse that’s my name.

Kai: “Ok then Yuri. As for me I just go by Kairaigi! Call me Kai.”

Yuri: “Figures you would go with a name like that.”

Lira: “Hey Kai, where’s your wolf Eidolon? I would like to treat them as thanks for assisting us.”

Kairagi: “Oh yeah sure. My Eidolon is a Electro Wolf pup I named Volt. It’s ok Volt. She’s a friend.”

A little yellow wolf pup with a lightning bolt mark on its collar walks up to Lira. Lira pets it & the 2 go outside to play

Yuri: (“These Eidolons. It doesn’t matter if they’re wild or stick by us. They’re living beings like us & I’ll help anyone here. While also trying to find my sister.”)

Kairagi: “So u need help saving your sister?”

Yuri is shocked but knew he was gonna say that

Kairagi: “Look I saw that announcement too from those 2 in charge of the Nexus & I want to help you out. C’mon we’ve been through so much together.”

Yuri: “If it was just me I’d say yes but I’m not by myself if you’d recall a few others at that Blight Zone.”

Kairagi: “Blight?”

Yuri: “Yeah I’m calling it Blight.”

Kairagi: “Yeah. Ok I’ll talk with your friends & see if I can join you.”

Yuri: “Great but what about the guy in black with the twin blades?”

Kairagi: “Oh he’s someone I met yesterday after leaving the Mercenary Town of Arkanis. I went there when I started & decided to go to the Eidolon Capital as my 1st stop & ran into that guy he calls himself The Neutral Sleuth.”

Yuri: “Is he a detective?”

Kairagi: “After seeing those daggers, I never asked. I thought he was a ninja or an assassin.”

Yuri: “Are you sure that’s what he calls himself?”

Kairagi: “Ok fine I’d call him that. Happy! He never responded to it though. I hope he’ won’t be any trouble around your girlfriends.”

Yuri: *blushes embarrassingly* “They aren’t my girlfriends. The Shrine Maiden is our client & temporary teammate. Mira she joined me on Day 2 before the Hydra attack. Speaking of, I hope they’re ok.”

Mira: *enters the room* “Hey! We overheard some of the conversation so thanks for worrying Yuri & we’re fine. As it turns out our person in black ally is a friend of Tsukuyomi’s.”

Tikka: “We told Roy everything back at the guild & we got 50,000 Keel as payment for clearing that Umbra spot!”

Yuri: *relieved & glad* “Happy to hear you all are ok. Are Tsumi her brother & our mystery ally here too?”

Mira looks at Kairagi seeing him as a tall guy with Orange Hair in red samurai armor wield a Greatsword shaped like a Katana.

Mira: “Yes but can you introduce us to this samurai please?”

Yuri: “Just call him Kai. He’s an old friend of mine outside the game & now he wants to join us! Kai this is Mira & her Fox Eidolon Tikka. They’re very skillful!”

Kairagi: “Pleasure to make your acquaintance!”

Mira & Tikka: “Likewise!”

Yuri: “Kai’s Eidolon Volt is outside with Lira playing around.”

Mira: “Well here are the Sun & Moon Siblings Tsukuyomi & Amaterasu!”

Tsukuyomi & Amaterasu enter the room

Tsukuyomi: “I can’t believe that you are friends with the royal Family! Anyway thank you for saving my brother. Will 1,000 Keel be enough payment?”

Yuri: “Actually, forget the payment I’m just happy to help out some family. However, we still want to keep the Relics & sigils you gave us & you can join our group!

Tsukuyomi: *cries happily* “Thank You! You’re so kind & generous!”

Amaterasu enters the room alongside the mystery person

Amaterasu: *takes a knee to Yuri his Eidolon a lion cub named Surya lies down beside him* “Sir Eclipse, I thank you for saving me & my Eidolon Surya from that predicament. If there’s anything I can do for you in return let me know.”

Yuri: *sincere* “It’s no problem. I’ll let you know if that can be arranged until then, but to be honest I’m just happy to help any family in need I guess.”

Amaterasu: “I guess You’re right Ame. The Hydra Slayer is a nice person.”

Tsukuyomi: “Brother! I told you don’t call me by my real name here! I’m not doing that to you ,but now I might as well Riku.”

Yuri: *thinking* (“ Ame!? Of Course she sounded familiar but her look in here is more different. She’s that girl I met at a cafe. I learned she works there plus she & I go to the same school.”)

Yuri: *Questioned & surprised* “Ame? Ame Sorano? Is that really you?”

Tsukuyomi: *surprised & blushing a little* “No way! Yuto!?”

Kairagi: *laughing loudly* “Well this feels like a reunion!”

Tsukuyomi: “I know that loud laugh! Enoshima!?”

Kairagi: “Call me Kairagi here or just Kai.”

Yuri: “Basically the same name as before?”

Amaterasu: “By the way sis who’s the mystery person they said you know each other?”

Tsukuyomi: “Oh he was a pen pal of mine! 1 day we reconnected & we immediately friended each other here in Eidolon Nexus. Go ahead & introduce yourself.”

The mystery person takes off there gray hood.

Toma: “My name is Toma Renji but in here I’m known as *draws his daggers performs a pose* The Coded Entity Tamas & my Eidolon Glitch! He’s close to his 2nd stage.”

Toma/Tamas’s Eidolon Glitch pops up as a pixelated cube using emoji faces to communicate.

Yuri: “Tamas? Sounds like a good name. Yuri Eclipse. Nice to meet you!”

Tamas: “Since Tsumi trusts you & that you saved her brother I suppose I’ll trust you.”

Yuri: *narrating* After introductions were out of the way, we shared stories about our times here in the nexus. Tsumi & Rasu were sent to the Holy Capital of Ordalia & been training under the temple while Kai was in Arkanis the Mercenary town made up of Humans & Beastfolk & Tamas was in Keelia the town that founded the currency Keel plus a big merchant settlement. I told them about Lira & Mira, meeting the Royal Family & defeating the Hydra. Guess I had the most excitement out of everyone! When I told them all about my sister…”

Tsumi: “I saw & I thought I remembered her so it was a feeling that you would be here. You helped me save my brother so… let me help you save your sister!”

Rasu: “We’re going with you & Lunith on this adventure sis! We wanna return the favor as well plus after all we’re old friends.”

Kairagi: “Old Friends indeed!”

Tamas: “Count me in but I might be in & out occasionally so keep me in the loop. I have some connections in Keelia the Merchant town. It also has a black market I’ll see what I can dig up.”

Yuri: *tears up* Thanks everyone but what about your Eidolons? They should have a say in this as well!

Yuri: “The Eidolons talked with their partners & decided to assist me I even asked if they can keep Mira’s identity as the game’s AI a secret from other players. They all agreed. After that, We became a party at the Adventure’s Guild called Starlight Nexus. We also got word from the people of Lunaris Village saying that they want to thank us next time we drop by. In a week, we made some progress on leveling up & trying to boost reputation. “

Yuri leaves a blacksmith shop after getting Triselenis fixed. He looks at his hand & clenched a fist

Lira: “Everything ok Yuri?”

Yuri: “Yeah it’s just… Mira said, she was gonna investigate the Nexus yesterday & I think we should’ve gone with her.”

Lira: “Don’t worry she can handle the situation. If not Tikka will contact me.”

Yuri stops at the Guild to see Roy & meets 2 new faces

Yuri: “Hey Roy! Anything new here at the guild?”

Roy: “No sorry just the same old stuff I guess not since you guys came back a week ago from Tsumi’s quest. Oh Yuri The GuildMaster is back! They want to meet you along with someone else.”

Yuri: *thinking* “Meeting the guildmaster? Wow! I wish the others were here for this. Ame is busy at the cafe today, Riku said he needed a break from the Nexus after being trapped in there by that blight stuff, & Kai… best not to think about that. As for Toma, no word back from him in Keelia. He’s like a ninja & a fixer put together ,but he does show off a big brother vibe like me. I’m still curious on how Toma & Sorano met. Let’s save it for another day.

As Yuri ents the office he meets 2 beautiful women A Silver Blonde haired girl wearing armor with a Sword & Shield with a bird on her shoulder sitting in a chair & the other Woman sitting at a desk, looks like she’s in her 30s or 29 years old at best but she’s 40, wearing a sophisticated outfit, & has Orange hair.

Yuri: “Uh hi I’m here to see the GuildMaster.”

Daena: *eyes Yuri like she’s assessing him* “Yes. I am Daena The GuildMaster of the adventures guild here in Edolis. Nice to meet you Yuri Eclipse, The Hydra Slayer. I heard that my son Roy has been assisting you well.

Yuri: “Roy is great here at the guild. Wait! He’s your son!?”

Daena: “Of Course. I’m the GuildMaster. My son is the receptionist, & my husband helps process monsters & materials. You can say this guild is a…”

Yuri: “Family Business?”

Yuri & Daena laugh & Daena continues the conversation

Daena: “Ok I just wanted to thank you for being a good friend to Roy this past week & wanted to inform you on a few things.”

Yuri: “Ok but 1st who’s the formidable looking woman in this room?”

Lena: “My name is Lena Cross & I’m a Valkyrie! I wanted to get the honor of meeting you, Moonraker Yuri.

Yuri: “Uh it’s no problem I guess.”

Yuri: *narrating* “The past week since we formed Starlight Nexus some people & players nicknamed me Moonraker cause of my abilities from the Tri-Lunar Eclipse plus Triselenis the Blade gifted to me by the queen aka the Lunar hero’s weap(short for weapon) does catch attention of some people who know the legend of the Hero of the Lunar Eclipse.”

Yuri: “I’m no hero ok. I’m just on a personal quest! However if I can help out anyone in need I won’t turn them away.”

Lena: “The Moons gazed you with their light so of course you are chosen!

Yuri: “Mrs. Daena you said we had business we need to talk about?”

Daena: “Yes. 1st of all I wanted to meet the person who helped saved the Capital while I was away on business. 2nd I would like to test your abilities in the practice field behind guild. Finally 3rd Help me out with an urgent quest in the future. Once I get more information I’ll let you know.”

Yuri leaves the office & sits around in the guild with Lira.

Yuri: “It was nice meeting Daena & Lena. Daena started the Adventurer’s Guild when she went into an early retirement from adventuring with her husband & after they brought Roy into the world. They started the guild here to help out future adventurers. That being said there are still other players forming their own guilds & team.”

Lira: “Guess you prefer the word team more than party huh Master Yuri?”

Yuri: “I mostly use the word party for celebration but I guess I’ll use it to mean team sometimes.”

Yuri: “I haven’t checked my stats after my stats in a while best to see them now.”

Yuri opens his status screen & sees that he’s at level 45 plus seeing his stats are significantly higher than most players

Yuri: “I bet the Tri-Lunar Eclipse is boosting all my stats plus it looks like I have double Experience Points & develop friendships more easily with the Blue Moon’s blessing, Advanced healing plus extra health & defense with the White Moon, & the Black Moon Boosts my offense capabilities. They even boost Lira too.”

Lira: “Of course they boost me too. Sometimes Eidolons & their masters can share the same stats. It varies depending on what u do & what Eidolon you get.”

Yuri: “Lira can I use Appraisal on others & not just myself?”

Lira: “From what I see yes. Everyone can appraise themselves but some people can gain the true Appraisal skill to check the statuses of others let it be objects, items & other living beings.”

Just then Lena arrives sits with Yuri

Lena: “I heard that your team is well… busy so I was wondering if we can do a job or 2 together please?”

Yuri: “Sure I guess.”

Just then another player enters the guild looking like a Grim Reaper type character he walks over to Yuri and Lena

???: “Are you the Moonraker Yuri?”

Lira ready to strike the shady character but Yuri signals her to wait

Yuri: “Who’s asking?”

The man takes off his hood to reveal a 20 year old man with Silver hair

Takahara: Call me Takahara I’m a data reaper A Grim Reaper type character with a Raven Eidolon I named Thanaris. Feel free to call him Than. I have a personal request for you Moonraker.”

Meanwhile a certain few has been watching over Yuri plus the White Hooded healer

Kael Veynar: “Could they be who we are looking for?”

Orivus Calen: “I believe so. Queen Selene vouches the boy & his rebirth partner.”

Elira Veythar: “Even so we need to make sure with a test.”

Orivus Calen: “Very well let us reconvene at the next Eidolon Council meeting.”

The Eidolon Council has been watching Yuri. Do they believe him to be an ally or an enemy?

Back in the castle Queen Selene & a group of scientists, magicians, & alchemists still study the Hydra core & crown 

Queen Selene: It’s been a week & nothing from the remains of the Hydra. Could it be lying dormant until it’s ready to emerge?! That can be 1 example but what else could this creature be doing?”

As she thinks 1 of the Alchemists came to her with a message 

Alchemist: “My Queen The Hydra’s Core is glowing all of a sudden.”

Queen Selene: “Is it now?”

Alchemist: “We’re making progress!”

Scientist: “It’s about damn time!”

Magician: “This crap is running my magic ragged.”

Just then a character in black arrives through the Nexus & the Hydra core glows brighter like the 2 are calling for each other

???: “Yes. Don’t worry we’ll cross paths soon. Just be patient.”

End
