Spotlight #10: Ilmi

Ilmi Hollo, age 21. Born and raised in Rovaniemi, Finland, she can be quite brash, but does mean well. When she was in high school, the entirety of Finland was subjected to one of Olavi's experiments, resulting in her and everyone within the country becoming digitized and unable to leave. She remained in this state for years until the 2024 Chess Olympics saw her regain her physical form while retaining all the perks of her digitized state. 

She hates Olavi with every fiber of her being for what he did to Finland and the bad rep he brings with every atrocity he commits. Her hope is that one day the country will be rid of him. 

Thanks to the experiment, a majority of the world over forgot entirely about Finland's existence. Following the Chess Olympics, everyone is now aware of Finland, but don't remember it ever existing prior. Ilmi is furious about this, and has made it her mission to bring everyone back up to date on Finland's history. 

She has always longed to travel the world, and upon being offered a DSPCM spot, she leapt at the chance. She also seeks to be a grandmaster, and as a result of her being unfairly locked up for years, she's frequently joining tournaments in order to achieve said goal.
