Chapter 12:

Chapter 12 — The Slave Trader's Den

Summoned To Another World

8 Days Later...
The air was still, thick with the silence of secrecy.「So, where are you taking me?」 Iris asked, curious about their detour.「Don't worry. We’re already here.」Iris stopped, glancing around, her face instantly clouding with annoyance.「Jay! Why are we in front of a slave trader's building?!」「Well, two combat slaves will make great adventurers.」 Jay explained, his tone completely practical.「Why didn't you tel—」Jay cut her off, his voice firm and laced with reasoning.「One can help me in front, and the other will look after you after you use a powerful spell.」「Wait, why me?」「Remember? Your body is completely drained after you use magic.」「Err... I guess you're right. So, that's why you made this medicine?」「Yah. ...Then they went in...」
A portly man, Leon, met them at the counter, his expression dismissive.「I'm sorry, but kids, we don't have products to your liking.」「Don't worry. We'll make them to our liking.」Leon's eyebrows shot up at the strange response.「OK then, follow me.」As they followed Leon deeper into the establishment, Iris whispered to Jay.「What was that?」「A code I learned earlier today.」「So, that’s why you beat that one guy up?」「Yep.」Leon led them to a large barred door.「So, what type are you here for? Combat, Maid, or a Sex Slave?」「Combat.」「OK. ...Then they went to the basement... Here we are. Have a look around and tell me which one you’ll buy.」Jay scanned the dimly lit dungeon, his eyes passing over the terrified faces behind the bars.「Yah, OK.」【Hmm... I can buy them. Their levels are good, but I can see in their eyes they’ll try to kill me first chance they get.】Iris followed closely behind him, her usual levity replaced by cold anger.「I hate how he treats them as objects.」「Yah, I know. But for him, it’s purely business s—」Jay paused mid-sentence, his head snapping up as he sensed a faint, peculiar energy signature.【Hmm... Interesting.】His eyes settled on a specific cage in the far corner.【Found what I was looking for.】「I'll take these two.」 Jay pointed to a pair of frail-looking sisters.Leon frowned, shaking his head.「I'm sorry, young lad, but those two sisters are sickly, so they are damaged goods, and we don't sell damaged goods.」Jay casually flipped two silver coins to Leon.「Err... Are you sure about this?」「Yes, and that should be more than enough.」Leon's greed immediately overcame his policy.「Well then, you're right. And thank you for the business! ...He Opens the cage...」Jay stepped into the small, dank space.「You two belong to me now.」The older sister, terrified and defensive, managed a shaky response.「O-OK.」「You got names?」「Y-yes. I'm Saalin, and this is my little sister Lena.」「Can you fight?」
