Chapter 8:

the Girl was Discovered

I Swear I've Got a Good Reason...

Kei stood there bracing Subaru against the restrooms wall, only wearing her undies and the firm wrapping bra and extra roll of lace around it, that kept her small, but still growing, boobs pressed mostly flat to her body.

"Why are you here?"

She glared strongly into the beautiful Subaru's big hazel eyes, who had finally gotten over the surprise of seeing Kei in this new light.

"Akashi?"

She winced at her family name.

"So now you know..."

Kei still held the slightly taller Subaru close with both hands, unsure on what step she had to take now.

For years she'd kept her closely guarded secret safe, careful and secure, all the while living life pretty normally, all for the family's sake - of having a clear male heir.

Except she wasn't a male at all, which hadn't been too hard to disguise for a long while, until recently - since she'd started to develop differently from the others she'd always hung out with.

But she'd blown it; in a rush to get changed for their practice jogging, she'd had a slight lapse, by not checking the usually empty restrooms where she usually redressed at school, and now she'd been caught mid-action.

What should I do...?

Her mind had gone blank, never truly believing she'd ever get caught out.

I've been so careful for so long...

Subaru Sekiya; Princess of the school, a deep-red, long haired beauty, nice and polite towards all, always fine, quiet and delicate, it just had to be the most popular girl in school who found out Kei's life was a total lie.

Should I threaten her, force her to keep the secret...? How would I even do that...? Or would a plea work on such a lovely upstanding lady instead...? I can't just keep her pinned as is...

She finally let her go, but stayed firm, keeping the other from moving anywhere still, putting her hands on her slightly rounding hips.

"Yes I am a girl, just in case it isn't obvious..."

Sekiya glanced down at her only underwear wearing body and her cheeks went red.

Why is she...? I'm the one... in...!

Kei clamped her toned legs together and her arms about her body - only then realizing it was pretty embarrassing to show off so much to another, especially since she'd never ever done so before.

"I... stop leering at me!"

She felt her face heat, as she shimmied her body sideways to keep more of her vital girlish parts hidden, as Subaru averted her eyes and apologised softly.

"Sorry - I didn't mean to stare..."

Kei watched her like a hawk, while the Princess sweated under her watchful gaze.

There's no way I could threaten her... which leaves one option...

Kei quickly ducked back to her clothes, grabbed her gym shirt and rushed back, while Subaru remained still, but after tugging the shirt on, Kei fell to her knees and bowed to the floor before the Princess.

"Please don't tell anyone, I need to keep this a secret."

Kei stated to the floor, not seeing or knowing what the others reaction would be.

Kei could feel her shirt had hidden up, probably exposing her round butt, but didn't dare move or show her annoyance, at least until a response was given - which seemed to take a small eternity.

"Uh yeah, I can keep it a secret..."

Subaru finally spoke, breaking the long silence.

That's a slight relief... at least for right now...

It was what Kei wanted to hear, but how trustworthy was Subaru Sekiya - apart from her activities about school, Kei knew next to nothing about her, but that would change pretty soon.

Standing up, and pulling her wayward shirt to cover her blue panties again, Kei looked to Subaru, who still nervously blushed and sweated, but also seemed genuine and understanding in some way too.

"Alright then."

Kei thought of a plan on the fly.

"I need to get moving now, but come lunch; come up to the roof - as there's quite a bit to talk about..."

The whole class would be running about outside till lunch break anyway, so she'd at least not blab till then.

"Uh... can we meet someplace else?"

She asked still full of nerves.

"I suppose - but it needs to be where no one else will overhear..."

Kei double backed for her shorts now.

"How about... in here then?"

I suppose that'll work... I wonder why she didn't like the roof idea though...

"Fine."

She yanked on her pants and went for the door, already positive she was late for the practice.

"Now not a word about me to anyone - okay?"

She reaffirmed in parting, and was satisfied with a response of a firm nodding.

Their meet up didn't take place like agreed.

After beating all the boys in their class in a time-trial race, Kei spied the inactive girl watching from their classroom, as she had some special case for not participating in gym at all, but Kai felt she'd be quite lonely up there all by herself.

At their break, Subaru was delayed by her usual friends and neighbours, and even then as she made the short distance to the further restrooms, but she had somehow gained a short pigtailed shadow, that watched her closely, out of Sekiya's sight.

Being inconspicuously close anyway, Kei could overhear all conversations she had, and not one mentioned her at all, so in that regard she'd kept her word, so far.

Then their time finally came, without the need to reschedule, as she had waited patiently, on her own again, left in her seat just reading a text book, while Kei, with a stroke of luck, had class cleaning duty, so deliberately took her time till only she and Sekiya remained.

"I'm sorry..."

Subaru started an apology, after Kei sat back down, but she cut her off.

"Don't. I saw it wasn't your fault."

Subaru looked back her way, with a curious look now.

"So uh, what did you want to talk about...?"

Is she feigning ignorant or something...?

"I know you know I'm not a boy."

Sekiya nodded.

"So I'd like to keep that fact a secret - from everybody."

The dark-red-head nodded again.

"I mean it, not one mention to anyone."

Subaru still bobbed.

Kei sighed and relaxed back a little.

"Can I... can I talk about it with you?"

Kei looked away for a second, summing up the pros and cons.

"Yeah I suppose..."

It might be a nice chance to get off a few issues, since I've never talked about it with anyone else before...

"What did you want to ask?"

Kei looked back to see Subaru had gotten real nervous again.

"Maybe; why? ...but not if it's a problem - I mean if, if you don't want to... You don't... uh. Just forget about it..."

"It's my family."

Kei started anyway.

"My folks are quite traditional in the... family business; and, well things pass down to the first son - but my parents have only me..."

Kei wasn't big on sharing personal stuff, out of habit mostly, but generally too.

"You can figure out the rest right."

More nodding returned.

"Got anything else?"

A shake this time, then a bit of silence, before Kei figured she'd break the forming ice.

"Were you meeting up with anyone?"

"No."

But she's just been sitting here all this time...?

"So why'd you wait around for so long anyway?"

Kei asked the apparently perpetually lonely girl.

"I was just changing my routine... to avoid - uh... no, just to er... be a little different - yeah."

Kei had head some chat about; that the 'Princess' had been bullied, so perhaps it was true.

"Did you want me to walk with you - to the station or...?"

"I don't want to bother you..."

"Nah, it's fine... really, I go there anyway."

Subaru's tension visibly melted away.

"That'd be... nice."

"Alright then."

They both got up and started away, but it wasn't long before Kei realised she was leaving the slightly taller one behind, even with her own shorter strides.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah... it's just... I don't usually walk that fast, sorry."

"Oh."

"It's because of a bad accident I was in, a couple of years ago now - I had to struggle just to stand and walk as little as I do."

Gosh - that'd suck... Is she opening up to me with one of her secrets, because she found out about one of mine...? ...or for a different reason...?

"Sorry to hear that..."

"Thanks, but I am ...very slowly getting better."

Subaru smiled Kei's way, probably for the first time ever.

Dallying down the stairs, Kei realised that this was the longest time she'd spent talking with another girl her age, for years. Not that she'd tried to avoid them; it was just that her friend group was all guys, had been for a while, always mucking about and playing sports, which she was great at. At a certain point any girls she knew just stayed clear of her and the gang, probably because of puberty - as it too had a few consequences for herself.

Kei found Subaru actually fairly easy to talk to, on the slow journey to the train station. Not that they hit any difficult subjects in their chat, mostly casual stuff, a little more about each other, but it was even easier than with the guys sometimes now. Time disappeared and she deposited the Princess to the station, and by that point Kei felt fairly at ease speaking with Subaru.

"You think you'll be alright from here - I go the other way a few stops."

"Yeah..."

Sekiya didn't seem that sure though, looking here and there again.

"I just had the oddest feeling I've been followed all day..."

A little suspicious huh... it was probably just me she was sensing...

"I'm sure you're imagining it. See you tomorrow then."

A little wave later, the Princess climbed on the newly arrived train, while Kei made sure she got to it safely, but just before she went her own way something happened before her.

A small ponytailed girl in dark clothes suddenly bolted through the gates, skittered across the platform and entered the far end of the carriage from Subaru, just before the doors shut.

It couldn't be... was that the same watcher from earlier...?
