Chapter 9:
I Swear I've Got a Good Reason...
It still felt like Subaru was being watched, it might have just been a paranoid feeling he got every now and then, but today felt a little different.
Going by the convenience store, thinking he spotted a figure out the window, only to look again and it was gone, then passing the now usual sight of the 'gang group', on patrol or just loitering nearby, they didn't set anymore alarm than usual, but when the foot traffic really died and it was just Subaru walking alone threw the neighborhood, every so often, something flicked into his corner view, but was gone when he turned to properly see.
Until on a long stretch, Subaru steadied and stopped, and swore he hear footsteps somewhere behind his back.
Was that my imagination...?
Turning about showed no one at all, until he stayed still and caught the quickest glimmer of a figure duck out from a fence edge, then just as quick disappear behind it again.
I knew it...
Subaru walked away, but kept looking back, till he neared a corner and turned, waiting a moment, he stepped back to see down the street - to again witness a shadow duck out of view, much closer than before.
Oh shit...! What do I do...? They're following me... home...? That means I can't go there or else they'll know exactly where I live...! What the hell do I do then...?
"Hey-ya Subaru."
Subaru actually shrieked after a hand came down on his shoulder.
An attractive woman with big round glasses, wearing a white, long trim dress, with nearly as long black hair that wavered behind her, smiled at him as she appeared in the street beside him.
"Whoa, sorry about that - I didn't mean to startle you."
The mature lady spoke to him casually as Subaru caught his breath.
Just who is this, I mean she looks familiar, but I just can't...
His suspicious peer gave it away.
"Hey it's me; your old friend - 'Nerdy', and from your class now..."
She gave a nickname that came from his long and often embarrassing and repressed childhood, as her smile slightly faded.
"I'm Onomiya silly."
No way...! But then... it is her...
Onomiya looked totally different from both his memories and school, not in the plain oversized uniform she now wore, and with different specks on, here she looked far more mature, and in that dress, far curvier too.
"Fancy seeing you out on the street... what's going on?"
She even talked and sounded different too, with heaps more confidence than in school.
"You're real jumpy too..."
She leaned close and got quiet.
"Is someone harassing you again?"
Subaru gulped before replying his fears.
"I think someone's stalking me..."
Onomiya nodded, peering past to where Subaru had been looking before and watched carefully.
"You go for home - I'll distract them here."
She flashed a serious glance his way, and stepped behind him, letting Subaru shuffle off alone, only a few houses along after the taken corner, he arrived and quickly got in unseen.
Locking the door and collapsing on the entrance step, Subaru sat and recovered his breath for a long while, watching the door cautiously.
Phew, I'm so lucky Onomiya bumped into me out there...
The Takashi residence was only a couple of streets away, and Subaru's parents knew Onomiya's from a long way back, so they had often played together as little kids, when he was dressed up in the frilliest outfits imaginable.
Getting up, Subaru was just about to turn away - when a few short taps came from the door.
Subaru froze.
A louder set of knocks came then.
"Who's there...?"
An eerie answer returned, firstly quiet, but then it grew loud.
"It's me... I'm here... for you blood Sekiya!"
Subaru went cold and stammered back some more.
They've found me...!?!
But next came some cheerful laughter and a familiar voice.
"Come on Subaru, it's Onomiya again."
Subaru got over his heart and panic attacks, slowly opening up.
"See - only me. I scared off your follower - they ran when I came their way, but I didn't see who it was though..."
Onomiya finally saw Subaru, who dripped sweat in the still half opened door.
"Sorry, that joke might have been a bit much huh?"
Subaru just gave an 'isn't that obvious' glare back.
"Still can't handle the scary stuff?"
He continued to only glare.
"Can I come in?"
"Oh... uh yeah..."
Subaru let her in before realising what he'd done.
"What uh, brings you this way?"
"It's just been ages, and I thought I'd finally come say hi again..."
She flicked her shoes off and strode in like it was only yesterday since her last visit.
"Plus there's a little info I need to drop."
"Oh?"
She turned back with a cheeky smile, already in the lounge.
"....I know a few secrets about you..."
Subaru stumbled as he made his way to the kitchen, but kept going.
I can't for the life of me remember if she ever knew I've always been a guy...
"First though - Sorry about Junko, she just got a bit jelli there..."
Subaru remained quiet, as he fetched some drinks for the guest from the fridge.
"See she used to be the most popular one in class, till you showed..."
He started back still quietly.
"I think she's over it now - actually I think she really likes you, but is too stupid to admit it."
"So...?"
No more bullying...?
"And I think she feels real bad now, since we heard from her - you know..."
Subaru put the glasses and juice box on the table, feeling nervous again.
"...about your scars."
She went serious, with a touch of sympathy.
"I remember hearing you were in an accident - that must have been real tough, sorry."
She stepped over and gave a warm mushy hug, her breasts squished against his chest as she put her cheek beside his.
"Yeah, that was... difficult."
She pulled back with a smile.
"I'll bet. But here you are, up and about again."
She slightly jiggled in her white dress as she returned to a happier tone.
"But it has been a while, yeah. I did try seeing you earlier... but either there was no one here or you weren't up for visitors..."
"Sorry..."
"It wasn't your fault..."
It could have been partly his doing though.
"I missed seeing you. Just hanging about... watching those old sci-fi shows together..."
She smiled and adjusted her big thick glasses, under her plain cut, black fringe again.
"I may not look it... but I'm still a total tragic nerd... even now."
She then took a glass and moved to the lounge room, and made herself comfortable on the big seat set and waited till Subaru came over and sat near her, because it seemed like she had something more to say to him, and it did come with added seriousness.
"I need to apologise... for letting the others be mean to you... and not stopping them."
"It wasn't all that bad..."
"I promise I'll get Junko to properly apologise too."
Subaru nodded, which alleviated her.
"But firstly..."
She stood back up again and bobbed right before him, bouncing her big boobs as she did.
"I am sorry."
"But you didn't do anything to me at all..."
She looked up at him again through the thick glass before her eyes.
"I know that... and that was half the problem..."
She went to move but partly unbalanced, she stumbled, and tipped forward... directly onto Subaru and his world went dark.
"Oh sorry..."
Onomiya's voice said, while her big breasts blocked his vision and smothered his face completely.
They're so soft... but so big...! I can smell... a nice soft sent too... And something is poking my cheek...
Onomiya pushed away off of Subaru's shoulders, pulling her ample bosom off him and jokingly smiled down from above.
"Some things have changed... sorry about these..."
She swung her boobs back and forth a little right before his face.
"You have no idea how much these huge things can be hassles..."
They still wavered there taking all of Subaru's sight, while he couldn't even move away, with her hands holding his shoulders.
"They're a little unruly, especially when I don't have a bra on..."
So there's only one thin bit of cloth between me and those massive...!
"Sorry again. I didn't upset you?"
Onomiya lowered herself to then look him in the eye, still quite close, while Subaru didn't know what expression he was giving that made her so concerned.
"I'm... perfectly fine..."
She'd regained her footing and smile as she let go of his shoulders.
"Anyway, getting back on topic... I still feel like I should make it up to you in some way..."
"It's okay..."
You already did something quite rewarding just then...
"You know, it is getting kind of late..."
Onomiya leaned in even closer and her smile grew as she readjusted her big glasses.
"Perhaps I should stay here like old times... and sleep with you tonight... in your bed?"
