Chapter 2:

Tje beginning of love ????

My life between worlds and dimensions

After Joseph and Adam entered the school, they found the place where the list of names was supposed to be posted crowded, and nothing had been hung yet. So Joseph suggested they take a tour to explore the place and the classrooms. Adam agreed, and they began walking around. Joseph talked about random topics while Adam was lost in thought, trying to understand that strange feeling that overwhelmed him whenever he saw that girl. True, he had felt it twice, but this only confused him more. He spoke to himself:
“What is this? What are these emotions flooding me? This definitely isn’t from the hot sauce… don’t tell me…”
He stopped walking. Joseph looked at him in surprise and asked, “Man, what’s wrong? Are you okay?”Adam put his hand on his face and said, “Bro, you won’t believe what happened to me… you’re going to have a shock.”
Joseph felt both curious and worried. But before Adam could say anything, someone placed a hand on his shoulder. Adam turned around and found their friend Jerome—a boy of medium (or slightly below average) height, with long, curly hair, and a sharp view of life and music. He was a music producer with a philosophical mindset despite his young age.
The boys greeted each other, and Jerome said, “Why the hell didn’t you pass by my house so we’d come together?”
Joseph and Adam looked at each other with sarcastic expressions, then turned to Jerome and said at the same time, “Really, you bastard?”
Adam continued, “Every time we pass by your place, you’re asleep—morning, noon, evening—like a sloth. The only difference is that you sleep 24/7. And even when you wake up, it takes you five business days to get ready.”
Jerome stared in disbelief and said, “Alright, alright, shut up, you two complain like old ladies in their sixties. Listen, they’ll post the lists soon. Let’s hurry and go outside.”
On their way, Joseph suddenly remembered something and turned to Adam, asking what he was about to say earlier. Adam’s face turned red, he put his hand behind his head, and stuttered, “Ah—uh, that thing… umm… never mind, I’ll tell you later. Walls have ears.”
Joseph and Jerome were both shocked by Adam’s strange reaction. In their opinion, seeing Adam blush was a sign of the end times, because Adam was known for being wild and reckless—though kind and gentle at heart. But a guy like Adam? Blushing? It was like saying a mighty lion is shy. They instantly knew there was an inna and her sisters involved.
When they arrived, they found a huge crowd in front of the class lists. Adam spotted the girl from earlier in the distance, and that strange feeling washed over him again. His heart began to beat faster, his body warmed up, and an involuntary smile crept onto his face. A strange sort of happiness took over him.
The boys noticed their friend spacing out, so Joseph snapped his fingers in front of Adam’s face and said sarcastically, “Earth to Adam… come in, Adam, come in.”
Adam turned and said, “What the hell are you doing—”Jerome cut him off. “Look at the entire tribe of Yathrib gathered over there. How are we supposed to see anything? I’m not ready to stay here all day.”
Adam replied, “Easy. You go right, Joseph goes left, and I’ll go through the middle. Whoever finds the other’s name calls it out.”
Jerome answered, “Do you want me to get buried alive? I’m not an anti-aircraft system like you.”
Joseph said mockingly, “Go give them one of your philosophical speeches about civilization. And if they don’t listen, bring out the hoo—”
Adam laughed and said, “Fine, I’ll go through the middle since that’s where the biggest crowd is. I think our names might be there.”
They split up, and Adam began trying to make his way through the crowd. Suddenly his eyes met the eyes of the girl he fell for. He tried to compose himself to avoid doing anything stupid in front of her.
Amber looked at him for a moment, smiled, and said, “Oh, it’s you again.”“Yes… what a coincidence,” he replied.“Yes indeed. Your name is Adam, right?”“Yes, it is,” he said, his heart beating even faster.
She smiled and said, “Looks like we’ll be classmates.”
Adam said inwardly, “Oh hell no…”, but responded out loud, “I hope we get along then.”
Inside his head he was screaming: “What the hell am I saying?! Damn it, damn it, damn it—”
When Amber walked away, Adam took a deep breath and called for Joseph and Jerome. But he then heard Jerome shouting every new curse and insult known to mankind—clearly, someone had argued with him again.
Once the friends gathered and checked their class list, they found Stephanie’s name. All three shouted:
“You’ve got to be kidding us—what the hell?!”
