Chapter 25:
Rudra Singha
Night had fallen, but the world was still trembling.
The air around the battlefield held the smell of burnt earth, shattered stones, and thick black smoke. The war had ended, the monsters were defeated, and silence finally spread like a heavy blanket. But that silence was not peaceful. It was the silence that comes before another storm.
Rudra stood alone at the edge of the ruined field, his chest rising and falling as he tried to breathe normally. His eyes were still glowing faint red, and small sparks of demonic energy flickered under his skin. It was the last leftover power of Jinnah, the ancient demon he had transformed into.
But now, that power was fading.
His hands shook. His head throbbed. His vision blurred.
“I… need to go home…” Rudra whispered.
His transformation had saved the town. His attack had destroyed the demon army Aghori had released. But the last moment — the moment he lost control — still echoed in his mind.
His claws had almost torn Valmiki apart.
Even now, Rudra could still hear Valmiki’s voice shouting, “Rudra! Come back! Fight the demon inside you!”
The demon had almost taken over completely.
Rudra clenched his fists. “No… I won’t let that happen again.”
The wind carried away his voice as he slowly started walking back to his house, each step heavier than the last.
VALMIKI — PREPARING FOR THE NEXT SHADOWNot far away, deep inside the Ashram, Valmiki sat cross-legged. A faint circle of glowing blue light surrounded him. His hands rested on his knees, palms open, eyes closed.
He was meditating.
But this meditation was not for peace — it was for war.
His breathing became slow and steady as he sank deeper into a trance-like state. The world around him dissolved, and he entered a spiritual dimension filled with floating symbols, flickering lights, and ancient sounds.
A voice whispered in his mind:
“A great darkness is coming… the Aghori is rising again…”
Valmiki’s fingers tightened.
He had felt it ever since the moment Rudra lost control.
Deep, old, hidden magic had awakened. Something that Aghori should not have been able to access. Something forbidden.
Valmiki inhaled deeply. “That boy… Rudra… he is carrying a power beyond his own understanding.”
He remembered the moment when Jinnah’s transformation burst out of Rudra. The force was enough to shake the clouds. Valmiki had barely survived the rampage. If Rudra had not snapped back to consciousness for even one second, Valmiki would not be alive.
“I must prepare,” he whispered. “I must grow stronger, or the next battle will destroy everything.”
The glowing blue symbols around him grew brighter, rising like fireflies swirling in a storm.
Then they vanished into his body.
Valmiki opened his eyes.
A new fire burned within them.
AGHORI — THE CREATOR OF NIGHTMARESFar away, at the edge of a dark forest, inside a broken temple where light never dared to enter, Aghori stood over a massive circle carved into the stone floor. His hands were covered in black ash, and his face was painted with strange red marks.
Shadows crawled like living creatures around him.
He laughed — a hoarse, dry, chilling sound.
“Jinnah… he awakened… but that boy cannot control him.” Aghori’s voice echoed in the hollow temple. “This is good. Very good.”
He raised both arms toward the roof.
Black liquid rose from cracks in the floor and floated like tiny droplets in the air.
Then the droplets began to twist into shapes.
Tiny horns. Tiny claws. Tiny red eyes.
Aghori’s grin widened. “You thought the first battle was bad? You thought my demon soldiers were dangerous? No… those were only the beginning.”
He clapped his hands together, and the floating droplets exploded into a spray of black smoke.
Then they reformed.
One after another, dozens of new monsters took shape — some with giant skull heads, some with long arms, some with bodies covered in spikes, and some with wings made of bone.
These were Aghori’s new creations, stronger than before, faster than before, more vicious than before.
But he wasn’t finished.
He lowered his voice. “I need a commander… a leader for my new army…”
He dipped his fingers into the ash-filled bowl and drew a circle on the ground.
Dark red energy erupted from the mark.
One shape began to rise.
A humanoid figure. Tall, horned, with long sharp teeth and eyes glowing like molten metal.
Aghori whispered, “Arise… Maharakt, my strongest monster.”
The demon let out a low, rumbling snarl.
Aghori smiled. “War is not finished. It is only beginning.”
RUDRA — THE NIGHT OF FEARBack in the small wooden house at the edge of the town, Rudra pushed open the door. It creaked loudly. His body felt heavy as if he was carrying a mountain on his shoulders.
He collapsed on his bed.
His pulse was uneven. His body still shook. A part of Jinnah’s energy still moved like a restless beast inside him.
He closed his eyes tightly.
“I almost killed Valmiki sir…” he murmured.
His fingers touched his bracelet.
It felt cold.
The glowing stone in the center had cracked slightly. Its light was dim, barely visible.
“This bracelet… it can’t control Jinnah anymore?”
He swallowed hard. Fear crawled up his throat.
“What if next time I transform… and I can’t stop myself?”
His heart pounded.
He remembered the look on Valmiki’s face when Jinnah attacked.
Not fear of dying — but fear for Rudra.
“I must… become stronger,” Rudra whispered. “Or the demon will take me completely.”
He sat up slowly. Sweat dripped from his forehead.
A strange pain shot through his chest.
Rudra gasped. His eyes widened.
For one second — just one terrible second —
A red demonic eye flashed inside his vision.
Jinnah was still there.
Smiling.
Rudra grabbed his chest. “No… no… stop…”
But the whisper echoed inside him:
“You need me.”
“Without me, you cannot win.”
“Without me, you are nothing.”
Rudra fell to the floor, trembling.
“No… I won’t let you control me…”
But Jinnah’s voice was growing stronger.
Tonight, Rudra didn’t sleep.
He sat awake, staring at the cracked bracelet, terrified of what he was becoming.
VALMIKI’S WARNINGMeanwhile, Valmiki ended his meditation and stood up slowly. His robe fluttered slightly even though there was no wind.
He looked toward the town.
“I sense fear… Rudra’s fear.”
He closed his fist.
“Aghori is creating something dangerous. I must reach Rudra before his demon form destroys him… and us.”
He stepped forward.
The next war was already beginning.
