Chapter 26:

Rise of Maharakt

Rudra Singha

The sun rose slowly, but its light could not remove the fear that hung over the land. The battle was over, yet the town still felt like a wounded animal—silent, trembling, unsure if danger had truly passed or if something even worse was coming next.

Inside his small house, Rudra sat on the floor, leaning against the bed. His eyes had dark circles beneath them. He had not slept. His mind kept replaying the moment he turned into Jinnah, the ancient demon inside him.

The moment he almost attacked Valmiki.

His hands shook as he stared at his bracelet. The blue stone at its center, once bright and strong, now flickered like a dying flame. A thin crack ran across it.

“This bracelet controlled Jinnah before… but now…” Rudra whispered.

The stone pulsed weakly, as if even it was afraid.

He closed his eyes, but instead of darkness, he saw Jinnah’s face—red eyes, sharp teeth, a twisted grin.

A whisper slithered through his mind.

“Let me out again…”

Rudra gasped and pressed his palms against his head. “Stop! Please!”

But the whisper only laughed.

“You can’t fight me forever.”

Rudra felt his heartbeat speed up. He grabbed the bracelet tightly, willing the stone to shine brighter.

It didn’t.

“I need help…” he muttered. “Valmiki sir… he might know how to fix this…”

Just then, the door burst open.

A sudden gust of wind pushed inside the room.

Standing in the doorway was Valmiki, breathing heavily, his face serious.

“Rudra,” he said. “We must talk.”

VALMIKI’S FEARS

Valmiki entered quietly, looking at Rudra with worry. His eyes moved to the cracked bracelet.

“So… it’s worse than I expected,” he said softly.

Rudra looked down, ashamed. “Sir… I couldn’t control myself. I almost—”

“Yes,” Valmiki said calmly. “You almost killed me.”

Rudra flinched.

But Valmiki walked forward and placed a hand on Rudra’s shoulder.

“But the important thing is… you stopped yourself. For even one second, you broke through Jinnah’s control. That proves your spirit is strong.”

Rudra didn’t feel strong. He felt like a danger.

“Aghori won’t stop now,” Valmiki continued. “He is creating more monsters, stronger ones. He has awakened a new beast… something ancient. I can feel its presence.”

Rudra looked up. “What… what kind of monster?”

Valmiki closed his eyes for a moment.

“A demon called Maharakt.”

The name itself felt heavy, dark, and cold.

Rudra had never heard it before. “Who is Maharakt?”

Valmiki sat down across from him.

“Aghori has combined ancient black magic with the souls of dead warriors. Maharakt is not just one demon… he is a collection of many. Many lives, many deaths, many angers. And he will lead Aghori’s new army.”

Rudra felt his stomach twist.

“So the war… is not over.”

“No,” Valmiki said. “It is only the beginning.”

AGHORI’S NEW ARMY

Deep inside the abandoned stone temple, Aghori stood with his arms raised. The monsters crawling around his feet snarled and growled, eager to be released. But all of them stepped back when a larger shadow moved behind them.

Maharakt.

Eight feet tall. Skin black as night. Muscles packed like iron. Horns that curved backward like blades. Teeth long enough to tear through stone. Eyes glowing red like burning coal.

Aghori smirked. “My perfect creation…”

Maharakt’s voice was deep and rough, like stones grinding together.
“Whom must I destroy?”

Aghori raised one finger.

“Rudra.”

Maharakt’s lips twisted into a smile.

“And Valmiki. Kill them both… and bring me the boy’s demon soul.”

He pointed at the swarm of new demon soldiers.

“Prepare. Tonight… we march.”

The monsters howled, the temple shook, and darkness spread through the forest like smoke.

RUDRA’S INNER STORM

Back in his room, Rudra tried to stand, but a sudden sharp pain stabbed his chest. He fell to one knee.

“Rudra!” Valmiki grabbed him.

“I’m fine… just… Jinnah…”

A cold wind filled the room. Rudra’s eyes turned red for a moment. His skin darkened slightly. A faint horn shape appeared on his forehead before fading again.

“Let me out…”
The whisper echoed again.

Rudra’s breath grew heavy. His fingers dug into the floor.

Valmiki placed his palm on Rudra’s back and chanted a calming mantra. Blue light spread from his hand, slowly pushing back the demonic energy.

After a moment, Rudra’s breathing steadied.

Valmiki removed his hand. “Jinnah is getting stronger. Your body is fighting him, but without the bracelet at full power, you won’t win.”

Rudra looked up. “Can you fix it?”

Valmiki shook his head. “No. I cannot repair something this ancient. But I can strengthen you. If your spirit grows strong enough, you can keep Jinnah in check.”

Rudra swallowed hard. “What must I do?”

Valmiki stood.

“You must train with me again. Harder than ever. Because Maharakt is coming.”

Rudra nodded.

But before their training could begin, the ground shook.

BOOM.

Dust rained from the roof.

BOOM!

The entire town trembled.

Valmiki’s eyes widened. “No… not so soon…”

Rudra staggered to his feet. “What’s happening?”

A roar—deep, monstrous, terrifying—echoed through the entire valley.

“RUDRAAAAAA!”

Rudra froze.

He had never heard a voice like that.

Valmiki’s face turned pale. “He’s here… Maharakt has arrived.”

THE FIRST ATTACK

People screamed outside. Houses shook. Birds flew away in panic.

Rudra ran to the window and saw something that made his blood turn cold.

A towering demon, black as midnight, walking through the streets like a giant. Every step cracked the earth. Every breath released smoke. Dozens of smaller demons followed behind him.

Maharakt.

He smashed a stone pillar with one punch, sending pieces flying everywhere.

His glowing eyes searched.

“RUDRAAAAA! COME OUT!”

He was calling for him.

Valmiki grabbed Rudra’s arm. “No! You cannot face him now. Your control is weak.”

“But he’ll destroy the town!”

Valmiki clenched his teeth. “I will hold him off. You stay hidden.”

“I won’t hide!” Rudra snapped.

Valmiki gripped his shoulders. “Listen to me. If Jinnah takes control now, Maharakt will kill you easily. You must not transform yet.”

Rudra looked outside again. People were running in all directions.

He felt helpless.

Valmiki stepped forward, gathering energy in his hands. “Stay here. When the time comes… I will call you.”

He burst through the door and ran toward the demon.

VALMIKI VS MAHARAKT

Valmiki stood in the middle of the street, facing the towering giant. His robe flapped behind him. His eyes glowed with calm determination.

“Maharakt!” he shouted.

The demon stopped.

Then he laughed. “You dare face me alone, old man?”

Valmiki raised his staff. “If I must.”

Maharakt grinned. “Then die bravely.”

He charged.

The ground shook with each massive step.

Valmiki slammed his staff into the earth. “Astra Shakti!”

Blue energy exploded outward. Maharakt was pushed back slightly, but only for a moment.

“That tickled,” the demon snarled.

He swung his fist.

Valmiki dodged, but the wind from the punch alone sent him sliding backward.

He regained his footing and chanted another spell. “Brahm Astra!”

A beam of pure white light shot at Maharakt.

The demon crossed his arms, absorbing most of the blast, though it burned part of his skin.

Maharakt growled. “You are strong… but not strong enough.”

He slammed his foot down.

A crack shot through the earth.

Valmiki lost balance.

Maharakt grabbed him and hurled him against a wall.

Valmiki coughed blood.

He stood again, but his legs trembled.

“This… is not good,” he whispered.

RUDRA MAKES A DECISION

Back in the house, Rudra watched the battle from the window.

Valmiki was losing.

People were screaming.

The town was breaking.

And Rudra… was hiding.

He clenched his fists so hard they bled.

“No… not again…”

He touched his cracked bracelet.

“I don’t care if I lose control. I don’t care if Jinnah escapes. I won’t let Valmiki die!”

The whisper inside him purred.

“Yes… call me…”

Rudra’s eyes began glowing red again.

He stepped toward the door.
