Extra 1: Sleepy Mimoko

"Ugh, what a day," Mimoko groaned as she trudged into the house.

Mimoko Inoue, age 18. Occupation: third-year high school student at Shogikawa gakuin, and president of its chess club. She is also now a grandmaster and rising star of the chess world. Birthday: July 23rd. Favorite piece: the king. 

This is a look at her typical routine when she gets home from school. First, she heads to the bathroom to take a bath, taking her sweet time to soak up the warm water. She'll often bathe with a beauty mask on her face and light aroma candles for full relaxation.

After the bath, she changes into casual wear, usually a t-shirt and shorts, sometimes sweats, before having dinner with her family. Some days, she'll have dinner before the bath, but today, it's bath before dinner.

"Looking refreshed. Today was a long day, huh? Here's a steak with teriyaki and mayo," Daria smiled as she placed a plate containing a juicy steak and veggies before Mimoko along with a glass of orange juice.

Mimoko nodded and begun nibbling on the eggplants.

Whenever it's meat and veggies, Mimoko always eats the veggies first, though she sips the juice throughout. She often requires multiple refills, thus, her mother always leaves the carton out on the table while she's eating.

Once she's done with dinner, she heads up to her room to do homework. After that she brushes her teeth. If she feels like it, she might change into pajamas, but if she's too tired, she flops down onto bed and sleeps.

"Zzzz."

When asleep, she looks very cute. So cute, her mother will often peek into her room to see her sleepy state.

"She's so cute. Think I'll update the screensaver," Daria giggled as she took a picture of Mimoko with her phone.

And that's a typical evening for Mimoko.

When the sun comes up, Mimoko gets out of bed. She gets dressed and brushes her teeth before heading down for breakfast. Her favorite meal is a nice bowl of rice with mayo and some buttered toast. In the entryway, the entire left side is neatly filled with Mizuse Niimi brand sneakers. All these belong to Mimoko. She is a massive sneakerhead and will always always wear sneakers no matter the outfit. All-white is her favorite style, though when it comes to school, she'll ditch her white no-show socks she normally wears with them for black ankle-length socks.

Leaving her house, she turns and heads up the stairs to a walking path overlooking the Arakawa river. From there, it's a short walk down to the high school. Unless she's booked for an interview on the morning news show, she's always on time, and is a model student.

When school gets out, she heads to the club room and often plays casual matches against her  clubmates, teaching them new things along the way. There can sometimes be trouble between members, but she's highly respected by all, and can usually diffuse a situation with a stern talking alone. When club gets out, she heads back home, and we already know how things go from there.

As for days off, there's two possible ways Mimoko might spend them. The first is if there's a chess tournament that day. If there is one, she naturally attends it, usually winning it with ease. But on weekends where there's no tournament, she often goes into Tokyo with her friends, drinking boba and getting crepes, sometimes going to the salon and SPA for makeovers. The Ryokoma mall and restaurant is her favorite hangout spot, and funnily enough, there's places there where she can play chess with folks. Chess really is her favorite thing to do, even on free days.

The other constant is that she always wears stylish Mizuse Niimi brand outfits which naturally pair well with all the Mizuse Niimi brand sneakers she owns. She also enjoys suspenders, but will occasionally wear outfits without them. If chess is her top passion, Mizuse Niimi brand fashion is a close second.
