Chapter 11:
The Master of Heroes
The crowd was roaring, the stadium lights were blazing, and the energy in the air felt like fire. Everyone knew the next match would be intense. But no one expected the match to be this personal.
The Announcement1st Person:
“Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen! The next round of the Master of Heroes Competition is about to start!”
Inside the player room, Sengkan stood up with a confident smirk.
Sengkan:
“It’s my turn.”
Jirsong smirked back and patted his shoulder.
Jirsong:
“All the best, bro. Finish him.”
Sengkan walked out like he had already won the competition.
Entering the Arena2nd Person:
“Alright everyone! The next fighter is… Sengkan Tisso!”
The crowd clapped politely, but not too excited. Sengkan smirked as he walked into the arena, cracking his knuckles.
Sengkan (thinking):
Hehehe… I already know I will win.
Then suddenly—
1st Person:
“And his opponent is… Buddhist Kemprai!”
The stadium shook with cheers.
Sengkan froze.
His eyes widened as he saw me walk out calmly, my expression completely silent and unreadable.
I stood in front of him.
Looking straight into his eyes.
No fear.
No anger.
Only calm determination.
Sengkan felt something inside his chest.
Something he hated.
Fear.
The Battle Begins2nd Person:
“No more waiting! Let the match begin!”
Referee:
“Are you both ready? Then… FIGHT!”
Sengkan made the first move.
With a clap of his hands—
POOF!
Thousands of Sengkan clones appeared around the arena.
Sengkan:
“Heheheh… try to find the real me now, weak hero!”
I didn’t move.
I stayed silent, scanning the battlefield with my broken system.
Sengkan (thinking):
He learned something? Impossible…
Suddenly, he rushed behind me to attack—his favourite trick he used to insult me every day.
But before he could hit, I shifted my steps.
He missed.
My gun fired.
Bang! Bang!
But Sengkan moved quickly.
Sengkan (thinking):
So Buddhist finally learned some moves… alright then.
He rushed toward me again.
One fast kick—straight to my hand.
CRACK!
My gun flew out of my hand and broke into pieces on the ground.
I tried creating another one with my armour tech—
But BAM!
Sengkan's punch slammed into my face.
My high-tech spectacle scanner broke instantly.
Glass shattered everywhere.
Blood streamed from my nose.
The pain shot through my face like fire.
The crowd gasped.
Sengkan grinned like a monster.
He punched me again—
And again—
And again—
Then he shouted with evil satisfaction:
Sengkan:
“Buddhist! Here comes the LAST punch! After this, you’re going straight to the hospital! Hahahaha!”
His fist struck my cheek with brutal force.
I fell.
My vision blurred.
The world spun.
My body felt heavy like a stone.
I hit the ground hard.
1st Person:
“Oh no… Buddhist is bleeding! Is this the end for him?!”
The referee began counting.
Referee:
“1…”
The stadium became silent.
People stood up from their seats.
Some covered their mouths.
Some looked away.
Even the air felt heavy.
In the player room—
Alir:
“Buddhist… wake up, bro!”
Serdihun:
“You can’t lose like this!”
Serdihun 2:
“For your self-respect… please stand up!”
Referee:
“2… 3…”
Dharshan:
“No bro! Don’t fall here!”
Sumit:
“Stand up! This is YOUR fight!”
Referee:
“4…”
Everything around me felt slow.
My body didn’t want to move.
But I heard them.
All their voices.
Then…
A voice inside my head.
Hero Kemp:
“Buddhist… you can’t give up. Remember your dream.
The dream to become the Master of Heroes.”
My fingers twitched.
My legs moved.
And before the referee could say “five”—
I stood up.
The crowd exploded.
Sengkan’s smile disappeared.
The Fight Continues2nd Person:
“Buddhist stands again! The match just got more interesting!”
In the player room—
Ayon:
“Heh… he woke up. But he’s still a weak hero in my eyes.”
Alir:
“Come on Buddhist! You can do it!”
Serdihun:
“Beat him… show him who you are…”
Serdihun 2:
“Wow… Buddhist will win. I know it!”
Everyone cheered.
Everyone believed in me.
The CounterattackSengkan shouted like a wild animal:
Sengkan:
“TAKE THIS!”
He rushed toward me to punch my face again—but this time I was prepared.
I quickly pulled out my sword.
SWISH!
I slashed across his stomach—
A deep wound.
Blood spilled instantly.
Sengkan screamed loudly.
Sengkan (angry):
“BUDDHIST! You made the biggest mistake of your life!”
He reached behind him and pulled out—
Two black poisonous knives.
The crowd gasped.
1st Person:
“Wait a second… those knives… that poison is from demons! Those are DEMON KNIVES!”
2nd Person:
“If he kills Buddhist… he will be disqualified immediately!”
I stared at the knives in shock.
Sengkan:
“What happened, Buddhist? Are you afraid now?”
His eyes were wild.
His hands shook with anger.
Sengkan:
“You SHOULD be afraid. Because today… is your LAST day. And I am DEATH.”
I stepped back slowly.
Buddhist:
“You know if you kill me, you’ll be disqualified, right?”
Sengkan:
“I KNOW!”
He laughed insanely.
“But I don’t care! I want to kill you more than I want to win! I hate you since day 1!”
His voice rose like a beast.
Sengkan:
“You know why? Because I’m jealous! Jealous of your technology! Jealous that you always rise up! Jealous that you take everything I wanted!”
His eyes were full of hatred.
I stood there, shocked.
He really wanted to kill me.
Not defeat me.
KILL me.
And now…
I had to decide.
Fight back?
Defend?
Retreat?
Or unleash everything?
Because Sénkan Tisso was no longer fighting for victory.
He was fighting for blood.
