Chapter 12:
The Master of Heroes
The entire stadium went silent.
Sengkan stood in front of me like a demon, holding two black demon knives that glowed with deadly purple energy. His anger twisted his face, his eyes burning with jealousy and madness.
He didn’t just want to win.
He wanted blood.
He wanted my blood.
The announcers were trembling as they spoke.
1st Person:
“This is… unbelievable! Sengkan is holding DEMON knives! Those are banned weapons! If he kills Buddhist Kemprai, he will be instantly disqualified!”
2nd Person:
“But he doesn’t care! It seems Sengkan is ready to risk everything—just to kill Buddhist!”
The crowd shifted nervously.
Some heroes stood from their seats.
Some mothers covered their children’s eyes.
This was no longer a competition.
This was a life-or-death moment.
Sengkan’s MadnessSengkan slowly licked the blade of one knife, his eyes cold and cruel.
Sengkan (whispering like a demon):
“Buddhist… you took everything from me. My position. My fame. My work. My pride. Today… I take your LIFE.”
I took a step back.
Even I could feel the poison in the air—it burned my lungs.
Buddhist:
“Sengkan, if you kill me, you won’t only be disqualified… you’ll be thrown out forever.”
Sengkan laughed loudly, like a man who had already lost his mind.
Sengkan:
“I don’t care anymore! I want to kill you more than I want to win! This is PERSONAL!”
He charged forward.
The Dance of DeathSengkan moved like lightning.
Slash!
Slash!
Slash!
The knives came at me from every direction.
I dodged left—
Rolled right—
Jumped backward—
Each time the blade touched the ground, the floor sizzled and melted.
The poison was strong enough to melt stone.
One cut… and I would be gone.
The players watching were terrified.
Alir:
“Buddhist, careful!”
Serdihun:
“Don’t let those knives touch you!”
Sumit:
“One mistake and you’re dead…!”
Sengkan kept chasing me like a beast.
Sengkan (screaming):
“STAND STILL AND DIE!”
I blocked with my sword—
But the demon knives were so toxic that my sword emitted smoke.
He wasn’t fighting with skill anymore.
He was fighting with madness.
The Turner PointI tried to attack back—
But Sengkan spun like a tornado, his knives flashing through the air.
The blade scraped my arm—
SSSSSSSSSSHH!!!
The poison didn’t cut me.
But even touching the air around it made my skin burn.
This was too dangerous.
My heart was pounding.
Buddhist (thinking):
I can’t fight him normally…
If I attack and touch his knives, I die…
If I don’t attack, he kills me anyway…
Sengkan grinned, reading my fear.
Sengkan:
“What’s wrong, Buddhist? Are you scared? GOOD! Be scared!”
He lunged forward.
I blocked with my sword—
He stabbed with both knives—
CLANG!
CLANG!
The impact sent shockwaves through the arena.
My sword cracked.
My arms shook.
My knees bent.
I was getting pushed back.
The Voices of SupportFrom the stands, voices erupted—
Strong, powerful, full of hope.
Alir:
“BUDDHIST! YOU CAN DO THIS!”
Dharshan:
“Don’t fall, bro!”
Serdihun:
“This is YOUR battle!”
Serdihun 2:
“We believe in you!”
Their voices filled my mind.
Gave me strength.
But then—
I heard one more voice.
A calm, deep voice inside my heart.
Hero Kemp.
Hero Kemp (in my mind):
“Buddhist… remember your purpose.
You fight because you must protect your dream.
You fight because you must stand.
Now rise… and finish this.”
My eyes widened.
My fear vanished.
My breath steadied.
Sengkan noticed the change.
Sengkan:
“What… what is that look?! Stop looking calm!”
Sengkan jumped into the air with both knives ready to stab.
I slid under him, rolled forward, and flipped to my feet.
Sengkan landed and spun around.
But this time—
I moved faster.
I sliced forward with my sword—
SWISHH!
Sengkan barely dodged.
But my blade cut a line across his shoulder.
Blood poured out.
Sengkan screamed and stumbled.
Sengkan:
“YOU BASTARD!”
But I didn’t stop.
I rushed in—
Swing—
Block—
Dodge—
Kick—
Sengkan could barely keep up.
He waved his knives wildly, but his wounds slowed him down.
For the first time…
Fear flickered in his eyes.
The Demon Poison BackfiresDuring a clash, I struck Sengkan’s wrist—
One of the demon knives flew into the air.
Sengkan grabbed at it—
But the blade fell down—
ONTO HIS OWN ARM.
The poisonous edge sliced his skin.
Sengkan shrieked in horror.
Sengkan:
“AAGHHH!! MY ARM—! THE POISON—!”
His arm trembled.
Dark veins started spreading.
The poison was eating him alive.
The announcers panicked.
1st Person:
“That’s the demon poison! Even a small cut can destroy a hero’s body!”
2nd Person:
“If Buddhist doesn’t finish the match fast, Sengkan might… die!”
The referee looked frightened.
The crowd held its breath.
Sengkan tried to stand—
But he fell to his knees.
Still, he didn’t stop.
He picked up the other knife with his shaking hand.
His voice was weak but filled with rage.
Sengkan:
“I… WILL… KILL… YOU…”
I raised my sword.
Sengkan rushed forward one last time—
Screaming like a dying monster.
I whispered softly:
Buddhist:
“Goodbye, Sengkan.”
I struck.
SLASHHHHH!
My sword hit his chest—not to kill, but to knock him out completely.
The impact sent Sengkan flying backward.
He hit the wall—
CRACK!
Dust exploded.
His body dropped to the ground.
Still.
Unmoving.
Silent.
The End of the BattleThe referee ran to him, checked his pulse, then raised his hand.
Referee:
“SENGKAN TISSO… CANNOT STAND IN 5 SECONDS!”
The crowd leaned forward.
Silence.
Then—
Referee:
“THE WINNER IS… BUDDHIST KEMPRAI!!!”
The stadium erupted in a roar so loud it shook the whole arena.
My friends ran toward me.
Alir:
“You did it!!”
Serdihun:
“I knew it!”
Sumit:
“That was the most dangerous fight ever!”
I looked at Sengkan’s unconscious body.
Despite everything, I whispered:
Buddhist:
“I hope someday… you understand.
I never wanted to be your enemy.”
The medical team rushed in to carry Sengkan away.
The announcer raised his voice proudly.
1st Person:
“What an extraordinary match! Buddhist Kemprai has survived the demon knives and defeated Sengkan Tisso in one of the most dangerous battles in Master of Heroes history!”
And so…
Buddhist standing tall, blood on his face, sword in his hand, and the crowd chanting his name.
