Ota ran as fast as she could as Okisato gave chase. "No! I can't believe he's Kana's son! This is bad! With that DESPER key, he could force me into any type of chess match, and if it's at a fast time control, I'll be screwed thanks to my mental state! I need to find some fodder to use this on, that way I can get away!" she thought as she scoured the area.

There was naturally Mimoko in front of her, but in her current state, Ota surmised Mimoko would beat her handily. Then she spotted Yuzuha.

"PERFECT! SHE'LL DO!"

"How disappointing, you're already violating the accord," Mimoko snarled as she whipped out a DESPER key and shoved it towards Ota.

"RACING KINGS!" Ota cried as her DESPER was forcefully activated.

"Yes, that can work. Now should you lose, you'll be subject to Tanabe-kun's interrogation before being sent to the WWCF's HQ for imprisonment."

Ota slowly stared at the board and began to cackle as she noticed she was playing as white. "Yes, and when I win, you die, and I get warped away to Cancun!" she madly grinned as she moved her king to g3.

Mimoko silently shook her head and moved her king to b3. Ota took another step forward by moving her king to f4 as Mimoko mirrored her by moving her king to c4.

"Oh the mirroring, but how long can you keep that up for?" Ota thought as she captured the bishop at c2 with her knight.

The answer was at least one more move as Mimoko captured the bishop at f2 with her knight. The mirroring further continued with rook captures f2 and rook captures c2, then for a third time with king g5 and king b5. Yet after Ota moved her king to g6, Mimoko ceased the mirroring and moved her rook to c7.

"You've done it now!" Ota thought as she moved her rook to f7.

However, things once more reverted to a mirrored state as Mimoko moved her king to b6. It mattered not to Ota though as she confidently marched her king to h7.

"You lose! It's impossible for you to stop me! Oh, how you pale before a real genius!" Ota cackled as Mimoko moved her king to a7.

"And how do you figure that?" Mimoko glared.

"Like this! Checkmate!" Ota laughed as she slammed her king down on g8. "I win-"

But Mimoko moved her king to b8 without a care.

"What!? You can't do that! You-"

"In racing kings, should the kings reach the back rank on the same turn, the game ends in a draw. Are you telling me you, a "genius", didn't know that?" Mimoko glared as the draw became official.

The board quickly vanished as Ota slumped to her knees.

"It seems things will revert to how they were before I challenged you. Well, at least Yuzuha-chan got some good distance," Mimoko huffed as she walked away.

A chill went down Ota's back as she sensed murderous intent directly behind her. With DESPER key in hand, there stood Okisato. Desperate, Ota grabbed her DESPER and hurled it as hard as she could towards the Arakawa river. Miraculously, it landed in the water.

"Ahahaha! Now you can't challenge me!" Ota cackled.

Okisato shoved the key towards her regardless, and slowly, but surely, Ota's grin morphed into a horrified scowl as her DESPER reappeared in front of her.

"Guess you didn't know this can forcefully summon a DESPER. Now let's revise Inoue-senpai's conditions a tad," Okisato glared as Ota's DESPER activated once more.
