Chapter 36:

The Storm Inside Rudra

Rudra Singha

The morning sky was still dark even though the sun had already risen. It felt as if the world itself was scared of what had happened in the jungle. The ground was cracked, the air felt heavy, and a strange silence spread everywhere. Even the birds refused to sing. Everything looked calm… but inside this calm, a big storm was waiting to rise again.

Rudra sat under a big banyan tree, breathing heavily. His body was normal now, but his mind was not. What happened last night was still burning inside him. He remembered clearly—he turning into Jinnah, the ancient Muslim monster, a demon of shadows and sandstorms. He remembered the power rushing through him, the roar that wasn’t his own voice, and how easily he defeated Aghori’s demon army. But he also remembered the last part… something he wished to forget.

He attacked Valmiki.
He didn’t want to.
He didn’t even know he was doing it.
The monster inside him took control.

Rudra closed his eyes and whispered,
“Why… why can’t I control this? What is happening to me?”

The bracelet on his hand, the Saktra, looked dull now. Not shining. Not glowing. As if it was tired too.

At the same moment, Valmiki was sitting on a flat rock nearby, meditating under the open sky. His white clothes were dusty, his forehead had a deep cut caused by Rudra’s attack, but his face stayed peaceful. He wasn’t angry at Rudra. He wasn’t scared of him either. He just knew that Rudra needed help… and something dangerous was coming soon.

Valmiki opened his eyes slowly.
“Rudra,” he said softly, “come here. We need to talk.”

Rudra walked slowly and sat in front of him.
“Valmiki… I am sorry,” Rudra said, his voice shaking. “I didn’t mean to attack you. I—I didn’t know what I was doing. The monster inside me… he took control.”

Valmiki smiled gently.
“I know. You are not the monster, Rudra. You only carry its power. And power without balance always tries to control the person who holds it.”

Rudra looked down at his hands.
“Then how do I stop it? How do I control this Jinnah demon? I am scared… What if next time I hurt someone else? What if I hurt my father?”

Valmiki placed a hand on Rudra’s shoulder.
“You won’t hurt anyone. Because you will learn control. But for that… you need training. Hard training. And we have very little time. Aghori is not resting. He is preparing something dangerous.”

Meanwhile, Deep in the Black Jungle…

Far away from Rudra and Valmiki, in the darkest part of the jungle, Aghori stood near a huge pit glowing with red light. Smoke rose from it like a living creature. The broken skulls of his fallen soldiers lay around him. His face was full of rage and shame.

“Kaalnemi… dead,” Aghori growled.
“Rudra… the boy… turning into Jinnah…”
Valmiki interrupting him again…

Aghori smashed his staff on the ground.
“No more! I will not lose again. I will not be defeated by a child!”

He raised both hands and began chanting dark mantras.
The ground shook.
The red pit grew wider.
Something inside it began to move.

A huge shadow crawled out, slowly lifting its body. It had three faces, each with glowing silver eyes. Its skin looked like black stone, and its heartbeat sounded like a drum of war.

The monster roared, making trees fall around it.

Aghori smiled with pride.
“Welcome back… Trishantha, the three-souled demon. You were my strongest servant in ancient times. And now… you will destroy both Valmiki and the boy.”

The demon bowed its three heads.

Aghori continued,
“We attack soon. But first… I must create more soldiers. The war has only begun.”

He threw a handful of ashes into the pit.
More shapes began forming.
More monsters.
More shadows.
An army.

Aghori looked at the sky and grinned.
“Get ready, Rudra. Get ready, Valmiki… Your end is coming.”

Back to Rudra and Valmiki…

Valmiki stood up and faced Rudra.
“Your journey begins now.”

Rudra nodded nervously.
“What do I have to do?”

“First,” Valmiki said, “you must understand your demon, not fight it. Every demon has a story. Jinnah too. His past is inside you. To control him, you must enter your own mind and face him.”

Rudra swallowed hard.
“So… I have to meet Jinnah inside my mind?”

“Yes,” Valmiki said. “But it will not be easy. Jinnah is ancient. Strong. Angry. He doesn’t want to be controlled. He wants freedom.”

Rudra took a deep breath and sat cross-legged.
“Okay. I’m ready.”

Valmiki placed his palm on Rudra’s forehead.
“Close your eyes. Breathe slowly. Let your thoughts become silent.”

Rudra followed. His heartbeat slowed. His breathing softened. Soon everything around him faded. The sound of wind disappeared. The forest disappeared. Even Valmiki’s voice disappeared.

Suddenly, Rudra opened his eyes—
but he was no longer in the real world.

He stood in a dark empty desert.
A storm of black sand circled around him.
The sky had no sun, no moon… only chaos.

“Where… am I?” Rudra whispered.

A thunderous voice replied,
“Inside me.”

A huge figure walked out of the storm—
Tall, muscular, with smoke rising from its body.
Its eyes glowed green.
Its beard flowed like black fire.

Jinnah.

The ancient demon towered over Rudra.

“You again,” Rudra said, trying to sound brave.

Jinnah smirked.
“Yes. And this time… you came to me.”

Rudra clenched his fists.
“I came to stop you. To control you.”

Jinnah laughed loudly, the desert shaking.
“You? Control ME? I am older than kingdoms. Older than your bloodline. I am the storm that swallowed cities. And you… are a boy.”

Rudra stepped forward.
“I am not scared of you.”

“Then you are a fool,” Jinnah growled.

The monster raised his hand.
A huge wave of black sand flew toward Rudra.

Rudra tried to stand strong—
but the sandstorm hit him like a mountain.
He was thrown far, rolling on the ground.

Jinnah walked slowly toward him.
“You cannot win by force. I am your rage, your fear, your pain. You cannot punch your own shadow.”

Rudra stood again, coughing.
“I can learn. I can grow. And I will never let you control me again.”

Jinnah stopped.
His eyes narrowed.
Something in Rudra’s voice… something new… made him pause.

“You are stubborn,” Jinnah said.
“But that is why you survived me.”

Rudra wiped his face.
“I don’t want to destroy you. I want to understand you. Why are you so angry? What happened to you?”

For the first time, Jinnah’s expression changed.
The storm behind him slowed.
His voice became softer.

“My story… is not for humans.”

“But I am not just a human now,” Rudra said.

Jinnah stared at him.
For a long moment, silence ruled the desert.

Finally, Jinnah spoke.
“Very well, boy. I will tell you. But if you interrupt… I will crush you.”

Rudra nodded quickly.

Jinnah began,
“Years ago, I was a guardian. A protector of an ancient tribe. I was not a monster. I was a warrior. But humans betrayed me. Used me. Feared me. And finally, sealed me inside the Saktra. My anger comes from my past.”

Rudra felt a sting of sadness in his chest.
“So you are not evil… just broken.”

Jinnah looked away.
“Believe whatever you want. But remember… if you lose control again, I will take over. And next time, there will be no Valmiki to save you.”

Rudra extended his hand.
“I don’t want us to be enemies. Help me. And I will help you.”

The desert wind stopped.
Everything became silent.

Jinnah looked at the boy’s hand…
and slowly… very slowly…
touched it.

For a moment, the darkness melted away.

Suddenly Rudra opened his eyes.
He was back in the real world, breathing fast.

Valmiki smiled.
“You faced him. Good.”

Rudra nodded.
“We are not friends yet… but he listened.”

Valmiki stood up.
“Then we still have hope.”

But before he could speak more—
the ground began to shake.

A loud roar echoed across the jungle.
Trees fell. Rocks cracked.
The sky turned red.

Valmiki’s eyes widened.
“Aghori has awakened something… something powerful.”

Rudra stood.
“I’m ready.”

Valmiki shook his head.
“No… not yet. This battle… I will face alone.”

Rudra’s heart dropped.
“But—”

“No,” Valmiki said. “You must rest. Your mind is still weak. If you use Jinnah now… you may lose control again.”

Rudra clenched his fists.
“But I don’t want you to fight alone.”

Valmiki smiled.
“You won’t be alone forever. But for now… trust me.”

He walked toward the shaking jungle.

Rudra whispered,
“Be careful…”

Valmiki raised his staff.
“And you… be patient.”

The storm grew louder.

The next battle was about to begin.
