Reincarnation | Chapter 7.3 "Katsu vs Grinousa

“*Slight purring* Katsu, it's finally time for us to settle things between us. I still haven’t forgotten how you cheated me out of a victory last time. This time it's going to be different, I’m out for blood this time.” She rubs her stomach as we see a giant claw marks running down her chest starting at the base of her breast and ending just before her crotch. This injury is from a previous fight between Grinousa and Katsu, during the fight Katsu lost control of her demihuman powers and clawed Grinousa so deep everyone thought she was done for. They were fighting over who should be Aliza’s demihuman bodyguard/servant. Ultimately it was decided that Katsu shall be Aliza’s servant. This greatly caused a huge divide between the two demihumans.

“How many times do I have to say I don’t remember a thing about that fight. I remember everything up to where you pinned me to the ground after that it's a blank.”

“Selective memory much? Oh I don't remember, it sounds like a convenient excuse for a coward. I remember in great detail you gave off a dark red aura and your eyes changed red like the aura you were giving off. Your fur started growing as you grew in size. You threw me across the room and slashed some of my guts out of my body. I lost over half of my internal organs. It's honestly a miracle I'm still alive. I'll never forgive what you did to me.”

“Contenders, are you ready?” We see a small demon with wings flying above the ring. The environment looks exactly like a roman colosseum. Demons and demihumans of all types fill the stands. The small demon looks over to Demon Lord Xaggamoth who is holding up his right hand in a fist. He slams the arm rest with the same fist as the crowd goes bananas. “Contenders, Round 1 of the Demon Lord tournament matches is now official in the eyes of the ruling demon lord. You may use any type of magic, weapon, or demihuman powers to achieve victory. READY! SET! GO!”

“Don’t get butt hurt if I do me then just rip out your guts. I’m not holding back this time you better be ready you damn sly fox. I’m coming for that head of yours.” Katsu roars as she begins charging up magic, but Grinousa is too fast; she is already in Katsu’s face. Katsu is unfazed as Grinousa swings her katana, which is slim and thin then an average katana to suit Grinousa speed and agility. Katsu blocks the slash by raising both arms in an x shape in front of her. You'd think this wouldn't work but thanks to Katsu's innate animalistic nature she is like a walking tank. She can harden her skin to be as tough as the strongest of metals.

Both fighters aren’t backing down, Katsu keeps hardening her skin, as Grinousa is moving so fast it appears as though she is leaving after images. Katsu starts focusing channeling her mana into her eyes to be able to see Grinousa but she's too fast. Katsu gets mad and slams the ground breaking the whole ring, this is enough to stop Grinousa in her tracks as she trips and stumbles. Katsu closes the distance and uses her hardening mixed with claws and stabs Grinousa. But it's just an after image and Grinousa bites Katsu in the back of the shoulder and stabs clean through Katsu.

“That's the best you got because I'm just getting started.”
