Chapter 49:
Rudra Singha
Rudra walked along the glowing path that stretched over the calm sea.
Behind him, the Storm Sea slowly returned to silence.
The thunder faded.
The clouds broke apart.
Soft sunlight touched the water.
But inside Rudra, everything was changing.
The bracelet on his wrist glowed steadily now.
Ice.
Forest.
Sand.
Thunder.
Four powers.
Four guardians.
Four lessons.
Rudra looked at his hand.
“So this is… balance,” he whispered.
Each step felt lighter, yet heavier in a different way.
Not on his body—
But on his heart.
He knew something important was coming.
Something final.
A Quiet Land AheadThe path of light slowly faded as Rudra reached land.
This place felt strange.
No storms.
No heat.
No cold.
Just calm.
The ground was smooth stone.
The sky was pale gold.
There were no trees, no buildings, no sound of animals.
Only silence.
Rudra stopped and listened.
Nothing.
“…This place feels empty,” he said softly.
The bracelet pulsed once.
A gentle voice whispered:
“This is the Land of Balance.”
Rudra frowned.
“Balance… between what?”
The air in front of him shimmered.
A shape slowly formed.
The Keeper of Balance AppearsA figure stepped forward.
Not made of ice.
Not of lightning.
Not of sand or forest.
This figure looked human.
Simple clothes.
Calm eyes.
Peaceful expression.
Yet the presence was overwhelming.
Rudra felt his knees weaken.
“W-who are you?”
The figure smiled gently.
“I am not a guardian,” the figure said.
“I am the Keeper of Balance.”
Rudra swallowed.
“So… are you the final trial?”
The Keeper nodded.
“Yes.”
Rudra took a deep breath.
“What do I need to do?”
The Keeper looked at him carefully.
“You have gathered power,” the Keeper said.
“But power alone does not decide the fate of the world.”
Rudra listened quietly.
“Now,” the Keeper continued,
“you must face the truth of who you are becoming.”
The ground trembled softly.
A tall mirror rose from the stone floor.
Its surface looked like flowing silver.
Rudra stepped closer.
He saw his reflection.
But it was not normal.
In the mirror, Rudra wore dark armor.
His eyes glowed red and blue.
Lightning crackled around him.
The forest bent under his feet.
Ice spread behind him.
He looked powerful.
Too powerful.
The reflection smiled cruelly.
Rudra stepped back.
“…That’s not me.”
The Keeper spoke calmly.
“That is one possible future.
A future where power controls you.”
Rudra’s heart beat faster.
“But I don’t want that.”
The mirror changed.
Now he saw another future.
Rudra standing alone.
The world in ruins.
Valmiki gone.
The guardians’ power shattered.
Rudra fell to his knees.
“No… I don’t want that either!”
The Keeper nodded.
“Destiny is shaped by choice, not power.”
The mirror changed again.
This time, Rudra saw himself standing between light and darkness.
Not shining.
Not terrifying.
But steady.
Calm.
Balanced.
The reflection looked tired.
Scared.
But determined.
Rudra’s eyes softened.
“That… feels right.”
The ChoiceThe Keeper raised a hand.
“Rudra,” he said gently,
“Aghori seeks power without balance.
He wishes to dominate the world.”
Rudra clenched his fists.
“I’ll stop him.”
The Keeper nodded.
“But how?”
Rudra hesitated.
“With strength?”
The Keeper shook his head.
“Strength alone creates another tyrant.”
Rudra thought deeply.
“With courage… and restraint,” he said slowly.
The Keeper smiled.
“Good.”
The ground glowed beneath Rudra’s feet.
The bracelet began to shake violently.
“What’s happening?” Rudra asked.
The Keeper answered calmly:
“The four powers you carry can merge.
But once merged, there is no turning back.”
Rudra’s heart raced.
“You mean… I’ll change?”
“Yes,” the Keeper replied.
“You will become something new.
Neither weapon nor monster.
But a protector bound by balance.”
Rudra closed his eyes.
He remembered everything.
Valmiki teaching him patiently.
Himra’s calm words.
Arvion’s wild courage.
Sahar’s endless endurance.
Vajrak’s fearless thunder.
He opened his eyes.
“I accept.”
The Awakening BeginsThe bracelet burst into blinding light.
Ice wind spiraled.
Green vines danced.
Golden sand floated.
Blue lightning cracked.
All four energies surrounded Rudra.
He screamed—not in pain, but in effort.
The powers pushed against each other.
Fought each other.
Rudra felt himself being torn apart.
“No!” he shouted.
“Stop fighting!”
The Keeper’s voice echoed:
“Balance them, Rudra.
Do not command them.
Understand them.”
Rudra breathed deeply.
Ice cooled his fear.
Forest strengthened his heart.
Sand steadied his body.
Thunder sharpened his will.
Slowly—
The chaos calmed.
The energies merged.
Not into one power…
But into harmony.
Light wrapped around Rudra.
When it faded—
He stood changed.
The Balanced FormRudra looked at his hands.
They glowed softly—not bright, not dark.
His bracelet transformed.
It was no longer just an artifact.
It became part of him.
His eyes reflected calm lightning.
His presence felt strong—but not threatening.
The Keeper nodded.
“You are now the Bearer of Balance.”
Rudra breathed slowly.
“I don’t feel… overwhelming power.”
The Keeper smiled.
“That is because true power does not overwhelm.”
Aghori’s ShadowSuddenly—
The sky cracked.
Dark energy tore through the calm land.
A horrible laugh echoed.
“So this is where you were hiding.”
Rudra turned sharply.
Aghori’s shadow appeared in the sky.
Twisted.
Angry.
Hungry.
“You think balance can stop me?” Aghori mocked.
“I have embraced darkness!”
Rudra stepped forward calmly.
“I don’t need to dominate you,” he said.
“I just need to stop you.”
The shadow snarled.
“This isn’t over, boy!”
The shadow vanished.
Silence returned.
The Keeper looked serious.
“Aghori has begun the final ritual,” he said.
“The war you feared is about to begin.”
Rudra nodded.
“I’m ready.”
The Keeper raised his hand.
A gateway of light opened.
“This path leads back to your world.
To Valmiki.
To the battlefield.”
Rudra took one step forward.
Then stopped.
“Will I see you again?” he asked.
The Keeper smiled gently.
“You will not need me once you trust yourself.”
Rudra bowed deeply.
“Thank you… for guiding me.”
Return of the Chosen OneRudra stepped into the light.
The world spun.
Wind rushed past him.
And then—
He stood outside Valmiki’s hut.
The forest around him trembled.
Valmiki stepped out, leaning on a staff.
His eyes widened.
“Rudra…?”
Rudra turned and smiled.
“I’m back.”
Valmiki felt the air around him.
“…You’ve changed.”
Rudra nodded.
“I had to.”
Valmiki smiled proudly.
“Then the world still has hope.”
Far away—
Dark clouds gathered again.
Aghori’s army moved.
The final war was approaching.
Rudra looked toward the horizon.
This time—
He did not feel fear.
Only responsibility.
Only resolve.
The journey was not over.
