Chapter 50:
Rudra Singha
Rudra stood quietly outside Valmiki’s hut.
The forest around them felt uneasy.
The wind moved slowly.
The birds were silent.
Even the trees seemed to sense what was coming.
Valmiki leaned on his staff and looked at Rudra carefully.
“You have changed,” Valmiki said again, his voice calm but serious.
Rudra nodded.
“I feel different inside. Not stronger in a loud way… but steadier.”
Valmiki smiled gently.
“That is the sign of true growth.”
Rudra looked toward the horizon where dark clouds were slowly gathering.
“Aghori has started something big,” Rudra said.
“I saw his shadow. He’s preparing for war.”
Valmiki’s smile faded.
“Yes,” he said softly. “I can feel it too.”
Valmiki’s WarningValmiki turned and walked back into the hut. Rudra followed him inside.
The hut was simple but peaceful.
Old books lay stacked neatly.
Symbols were freshly redrawn on the floor.
The air smelled of herbs and incense.
Valmiki sat down slowly.
“My body is still weak,” he admitted.
“But my mind is clear.”
Rudra sat in front of him.
“Tell me everything,” Rudra said.
“I’m ready.”
Valmiki closed his eyes.
“Aghori’s final ritual is called The Night of Devouring,” he began.
“It is not just about summoning demons.”
Rudra frowned.
“Then what is it?”
Valmiki opened his eyes.
“It is about breaking the balance of the world itself.”
Rudra’s heart tightened.
“How?”
“Aghori is gathering dark energy from three places,” Valmiki explained.
“Fear from humans.
Pain from battlefields.
And hatred from forgotten ruins.”
Rudra clenched his fists.
“If he succeeds…”
“The barrier between worlds will shatter,” Valmiki said gravely.
“Darkness will flood everything.”
Rudra stood up.
“Then we stop him before that.”
Valmiki nodded.
“But you cannot do it alone.”
The Call Goes OutValmiki reached for a small crystal hanging from his neck.
“This is an ancient beacon,” he said.
“It calls those who still fight for the world.”
He placed it on the floor and whispered an incantation.
The crystal glowed brightly.
Light spread across the hut, then shot into the sky like a pillar.
Rudra shielded his eyes.
“What does it do?” he asked.
“It sends a call,” Valmiki replied.
“To warriors, monks, mages, and guardians who still live.”
Rudra felt something stir in the air.
Hope.
The First ArrivalsNot long after, the forest began to move.
Footsteps echoed.
Leaves rustled.
Energy filled the air.
A tall woman stepped out of the trees first.
She wore light armor and carried a spear glowing with runes.
Her eyes were sharp and focused.
“I felt the call,” she said.
“My name is Kaali, warrior of the eastern plains.”
Rudra bowed slightly.
“Thank you for coming.”
Soon after, an old man appeared riding a stone beast.
His beard was long.
His eyes glowed faintly.
“I am Rishan, keeper of earth seals,” he said.
Then more arrived.
A pair of twin archers.
A healer wrapped in white cloth.
A silent swordsman with a broken mask.
They all gathered near the hut.
Rudra looked around, surprised.
“They really came…”
Valmiki smiled.
“The world still has defenders.”
Aghori’s MoveSuddenly—
The ground shook violently.
A dark wave rolled across the forest.
Trees bent.
The sky darkened.
A loud horn echoed from far away.
BOOOOOOM.
Everyone froze.
Rudra’s bracelet pulsed sharply.
Valmiki stood up using his staff.
“He has begun marching,” Valmiki said.
Rudra looked toward the dark horizon.
“I won’t wait for him to reach the villages.”
Kaali stepped forward.
“Then we meet him on the battlefield.”
Rishan nodded slowly.
“The old ruins near the Black Valley,” he said.
“That is where dark energy gathers.”
Valmiki turned to Rudra.
“That is where Aghori will complete his ritual.”
Rudra clenched his fist.
“Then that’s where we go.”
The March BeginsThe group moved quickly through the forest.
Rudra walked at the front.
The bracelet glowed softly, guiding him.
As they traveled, the land grew darker.
The air felt heavy.
The sky turned red and purple.
Rudra could feel it now.
Fear.
Pain.
Hatred.
“They’re everywhere,” he whispered.
Kaali nodded.
“Aghori’s influence spreads fast.”
Suddenly—
A roar shook the ground.
Demons burst out from the shadows.
Tall.
Twisted.
Armed with dark blades.
“Enemies!” Kaali shouted.
Rudra stepped forward calmly.
“Stay behind me.”
The demons charged.
Rudra raised his hand.
Ice formed beneath their feet, slowing them.
Vines burst from the ground, wrapping around their legs.
Sand hardened into walls.
Lightning cracked through the air.
The battlefield exploded with light and motion.
Rudra moved smoothly.
Not wild.
Not angry.
Balanced.
One demon lunged at him.
Rudra blocked it and gently pushed it back.
A pulse of balanced energy struck the demon—
Not destroying it violently—
But dissolving it into dust.
The others froze in fear.
Rudra spoke firmly.
“Leave this world.”
The demons screamed and vanished into shadow.
The warriors stared at him in awe.
Kaali whispered,
“…He’s different.”
Valmiki smiled quietly.
The Dark HorizonAfter the battle, the group continued.
Finally, they reached a cliff overlooking the Black Valley.
Below them—
An army of demons marched.
Thousands of them.
Dark banners waved.
Fires burned everywhere.
At the center stood a massive structure made of black stone.
Dark energy spiraled around it like a storm.
And standing atop it—
Aghori.
His robe flowed like smoke.
His eyes burned with madness.
He raised his arms.
The sky cracked.
Rudra felt his heart pound.
“That’s it,” he said quietly.
“The final battlefield.”
Valmiki placed a hand on Rudra’s shoulder.
“This is where destiny meets choice,” he said.
Rudra looked at the army behind him.
At the warriors.
At Valmiki.
At the world below.
He took a deep breath.
“We fight not to conquer,” Rudra said.
“We fight to protect balance.”
The warriors nodded.
The wind howled.
Aghori laughed in the distance.
The war had truly begun.
And Rudra—
The Bearer of Balance—
Took his first step toward the final clash.
