A Calm Sunday

'Just a regular day with not much going on...
I guess it's nice in a way.'

"Hm? What's that?"

'...? People are murmuring. Is something happening?'
As I look behind me, it happens.
Chaos happens as two girls fight through the streets, magic being used without regard, flinging things all over while toppling and shoving cars. In all this, people are screaming and panicking.
My eyes go wide and I grin.
"Finally! I was starting to get bored."

'Should be easy enough to keep up with them while teleporting around the rooftops, no one will notice with those two taking all the attention.'
I teleport from roof to roof, keeping up with them.
'I'm surprised they're still going, must be an energetic bunch those two. If this keeps up they won't stop fighting and running for a while, which would be annoying. I need to make them stop.'
I create a portal and put my hand through it, grabbing onto the boots of the girl that's running ahead, successfully tripping her.
'That should do the trick, now let's enjoy the show.'

"HAH, you fell? Well, your villainous ways stop now. By the power of Arlo, I will extinguish you!"
The blonde girl wearing a white coat summons a huge rock, looking to slam down on top of the redheaded girl wearing a red scarf. Just as it is about to land, Red jumps out of the way at lightning speed.
"ARE YOU INSANE?! You'd take advantage of me having tripped like that?! Who here is the REAL villain?"

'Woah, summoning the powers of Arlo like that, White is not messing around, I wonder why she's so angry.'

"After what you did, it wouldn't matter what I chose to do, you'd still be the villain"
"All I did was finally tell your crush about you, otherwise nothing would have happened!"
I notice White visibly blush.
"SO YOU ADMIT IT!"

'...Is she for real? I thought it would be a fight with a hero... Did I really just chase them only for it to turn out into girl beef? Well, with what they've done so far, won't take long for heroes to show up.'

"Let's stay calm, can you not try to kill me, so we can actually talk?"
"I'll think about that after I'm done with you."
Just as they're about to go at it again, a new guy shows up in a classic hero uniform.
"You two, STOP."
"Huh?"
"Have you even NOTICED the damage you caused? You're both getting arrested."
The two girls upon hearing this look at each other, clearly thinking about something before nodding.
"No, I don't think we will."
"You'll have to beat us first."

'Huh, teaming up against him, I guess they were bad girls in the end, I wonder how I can spice this up.'

"We'll see how you handle this FIREBALL!"
As she says that a fist sized fireball shoots off from Red's hand.
'Oh, that gave me an idea.'
I grab a rock and teleport it to above the fight scene, letting it fall, timed perfectly to connect with the fireball before it could hit the Hero guy, and as it does it explodes outwards turning into a massive ball of fire in the center of the fight, unable to connect with anyone.

"Hmph, you exploded it a bit too early, you're still rookies I guess."
He grins as he says that.
"Chloe, how did you miss?!"
"I DIDN'T! That wasn't me! ...Was it?"
As the two girls start bickering, the Hero guy suddenly appears behind them.
"If you talk during a fight, it makes it easy for me to grab you."
As he says that he grabs them by the back of their shirts.
"You two are in big trouble, all thanks to me."
'This guy... Is a bit full of himself.'
"...Stupid hero guy"
"The name's Thunder"

'Thunder? Lame, somehow I also preferred to call him Hero guy.
Well, I guess that's that for the fight, I think the bulk of the damage has definitely already been done, it's gonna take a while to fix that street. Unfortunate for anyone wanting to use it...
Anyway, I think that's enough watching for today, I'll go home now.'
I teleport down to the street level and start walking home.
"It's not my fault, SHE'S the one that went crazy!"
"BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU DID!"
"HOW LONG WERE YOU CHASING AFTER HIM? I JUST HELPED!"
"Yeah, yeah, I'll hear it all after I bring you to HQ."
'Heh, still going at it.'
The walk home is uneventful unfortunately, I definitely wouldn't have minded watching another fight I happened to come across, but none came.
Besides the fight I saw earlier, it was a calm Sunday.

I arrive home.
"I'm home."
"Ah, welcome! How was your walk?"
"The usual."
"Oh, did you hear about a fight that happened? I saw on TV, a fight between two girls wrecked a huge chunk of the street in the district, were you close there?"
"Really? That's crazy."
"Yeah, I'm glad you weren't near there. You're ok, right? Nothing happened to you?"
"Yeah, I'm ok mom."
She sighs with relief as she continues.
"Ah, I'm glad. Anyway, you up for pizza tonight?"
"Ordering pizza with a portion of the streets like that?"
"Well, you gotta keep the pizza guy on his toes, can't have him be complacent now, can we?"
"Always doing these weird challenges with the delivery guys huh?"
"Well, it's always fun!"
"Alright, I'll go to my room"
'Mom and her weird and funny challenges. I wonder how long it'll take the pizza guy? Dad is still at work in dispatch, so I guess I'll just relax.
It seems I was the only one watching today, well not that the fight lasted that long. I better note those two down, Red or real name Chloe with some impressive firepower, and the trigger happy White, whose name I don't know.'
"I'll be sure to keep a lookout for you two, I can tell it won't be the last time you'll start a fight."
Ping! "Hm?"
'A notification from the club chat.'
"I heard about some fight that happened today, was anyone there??"
"not me."
"I was near there but I ran... SORRY!"
"Seriously?! You should have called it in first!!"
"I forgot! it was wayyy too dangerous."
"What about you Kazu??"

"Yeah, didn't hear anything."

"Damn."
'They'd freak if they knew I didn't do the club duties.'

...

"Thanks for the pizza!"
The delivery guy is visibly exhausted, barely able to get words out.
"Yeah... Sure... No problem..."
'The pizza guy is super tired... Honestly surprising the shop actually kept their promised delivery time, his boss must be ruthless.'
Mom closes the door.
"Well that was a nice surprise! Let's eat then?"
"Sure thing mom."
