Chapter 33:

A lamenting on Christmas lights [Special]

Limitless Vlogging: A journey around the utopian supercontinent

December. The month of lights. It matters not if it's northern or southern, December is universal. The only difference is how much sunlight each place gets.

My name is Erwin Jantar. Raised in America, I grew up having my Decembers be dark, and illuminated by Christmas lights. I was always fascinated by the lights in my area, so welcoming, so familiar.

There soon came a time when I was putting up the family lights, perhaps the most joy I've ever had, especially when others praised my work. Sadly, a job drew me to elsewhere in the world. As such, I was away and unable to make frequent return trips home.

I'd always worry about missing the lights, or our house not being able to put anything up with my absence. Thus, instead of requesting Christmas off, I requested Thanksgiving off. That allowed me to spend Black Friday setting up lights, so that at the very least, our house would have lights up for the season. Of course, there were more things nagging me.

What if neighbors that always put up the best decorations stopped doing so for whatever reason. Moving, passing, or just plain incapable of doing things as they did before.

Thus, I decided to hone my technology and found my company as quickly as possible to amass capital. And with it, I used it to preserve my old neighborhood and surrounding area in a bubble, all around Christmas Eve. This was the perfect time as it's when all the lights and decor that are going to be up, go up. It also allowed me to preserve my own handywork.

All that remained after was to journey to the distant future.
