Chapter 27:

Aamon Krozolo: The Ravaging Void

Blades of the Shattered Chaplets: 4th Novel

The walls at Wallchester Prison started to shake more than ever. Ichika Iwashi didn’t know what was going on, but alerted the guards to lock down the entire facility. ‘The Antimatter Chaplets are beginning to be negated. This has never happened before. What’s coming to this place?’

She eerily looked down from her railing at the prisoners in the cells still unable to use their mana. She sensed something, but had no idea what it was.

Then she said, “Anamolies…Great. Who do I have to kill today?”

The shaking stopped, but she didn’t falter for a second, knowing that whatever this was had just killed every single one of her guards outside.

The doors opened…

She laughed and the doors shut right away from her own strength before whatever was outside pushed harder and harder until they eventually budged open.

Ichika: “I’ve met many people like you in my life. Don’t think you are special. I am in charge of this place for a reason. Your mana will not work here.”

???: “Is that so?”

A small looking boy peered at her menacingly that she was not familiar with.

He spoke again…

???: “They call me King. I’ll show you why they do.”

Ichika: “King? You don’t look like a King. Beaten and bruised. Is that what Kings are for?!”

She bolted at King who nobody believed was still alive, but Ichika did not know anything about him, charging in as if he was a simple enemy.

He held his hand up and stopped her midair, strangling her to death.

She willingly forced her body out of the chokehold, but not for long. King was depleted of a lot of mana from the fight with Alcion, so he needed more time, but he needed something here.

Ichika: “Of course you can use mana here. All 6 Antimatter Chaplets in the world and yet anomalies are always the greatest of anyone born. I’m not so weak minded though. I’m crazy! Aren’t I just insane! I’m beyond nuts! I can’t win this fight! HAHAHAHA! Let me show you how insane I am!”

She ripped her right arm off of her body and threw it at him to make sure her blood splattered on his body.

Ichika activated her Demise Chaplet right away, not caring at all for the consequences.

Ichika: “This is my place! I protect what is mine! I don’t care who you are. If I sense that you will destroy my sanctuary, then I won’t think twice. Someone else can take over when I’m done with you.”

The half grey and clear Chaplet broke, opening the red spiral inside that expanded and sucked Ichika’s soul inside, only leaving her body remaining encased in a dark purple mana that was similar to Astro’s. However, this strength was not like his. It was similar to a triple covenant, much like what Kento had just done.

The amount of mana was the most anyone had ever witnessed. The Demise Chaplet was known for this. Ichika Iwashi would fight until her soul corroded away in the spiral.

King did not care at this point. He needed one thing and one thing only.

He pulled the Antimatter Chaplets from all over the facility and threw them at Ichika, but they didn’t work.

Not speaking, he activated all his abilities, not even giving Ichika much of a chance.

King: “You think Chaplets work on me? Pathetic being.”

He pierced a hole right through her chest, dropping her body to the ground before she got right back up like a devil was inside her.

The space turned black and existence ceased to exist via King’s ability.

“Screw off. I need what you have! I don’t have time for this!”

King was beyond what Ichika could handle. The Demise Chaplet did nothing even though her body continued to attack. He would explode it over and over as she regenerated. Her will was so strong that she kept coming back and her soul would not give up, but it started to crack within the red spiral.

He walked forward now back at Wallchester Prison, continuing onwards to one particular person. The rest of the prisoners screamed for him to let them out, but King single handedly killed them all in an instant. “SHUT UP!” he screamed out loud, angered even more by Ichika’s body that kept flying at him.

He put up a black circular thin barrier that sparkled, now deflecting her body that exploded into thousands of pieces over and over as King walked up to a cell block in the corner.

“I heard you’re a real tough son of a bitch. Come. You’re joining me,” King said to Aamon who laid wasting away in his cell, banging his head against the wall.

He looked at King and smiled demonicly, continuing to bleed profusely from his head.

King normally would have laughed, but he was too pissed off from Alcion.

“COME!”

His scream broke the Antimatter Chaplets, releasing Aamon’s mana back to him, swelling in his body more than Ichika’s with the Demise Chaplet and more than Kento’s triple covenant.

Aamon Krozolo, The Ravaging Void, 2nd Reverend of the Great Swordsmen. The only reason why he was 2nd behind Michiaki was because he did not want the honor of the 1st Reverend. Although, every swordsman knew that Aamon was truly the strongest, but made up stories of Michiaki’s achievements to shield Aamon from the outside world.

Michiaki was truly one of a kind, but Aamon’s abilities were on par with realms, but his mind was still lost, so he had no sense of himself at the moment.

He began to spiral out of control.

Time slowed down, forcing King to bring him to his own world, but time continued to slow down for King. ‘Huh?’ he questioned in his mind. ‘What is this? Why hasn’t time stopped? Time shouldn’t exist here!’

Aamon looked crazy, charging at King who deflected his attacks even in his slow motion state, but he was on par with Kazuki Alcion, and King knew this immediately.

He was too injured still to fight this man and take control of him, but he couldn’t activate anything before Aamon disappeared into thin air away from here.

King looked frustrated as he wrapped himself in darkness and figured he would try again when he gained his strength back.

“After all,” he said. “Nobody is defeating that man. Not even you, old friend. He’s going to wreak havoc. Now, I need my wand.”
