Chapter 31:
Blades of the Shattered Chaplets: 4th Novel
Saikou who was nowhere to be seen was avoiding all the danger that was presented. Many people were trying to get their hands on him despite the Infinite Library also being an option of a wish. However, people did not know the truth of the Infinite Library, which is where Saikou ventured right now.
Despite a wish being granted to anyone if made, they were limited in what they could request. Saikou was truly one of a kind. The Chaplet that made up his anatomy granted any wish at all.
The Great Sovereign still kept the balance of the world while not allowing certain wishes regardless of people making it to her domain. Saikou decided to hide out here, which was his wish. He housed himself next to the Great Sovereign until the time was right to leave and he would be ready to assist in the most important matter that would determine the future.
Tears ran down his face.
He had to make a decision on who to save, but he looked towards his creator, Kazuki Alcion, to help.
Kazuki finally appeared having been let out of the Worlds.
Kazuki: “Ah, there you are, Saikou. Finally put your location on for me? Ah, The Great Sovereign, pleasure to see you again. It’s been quite some time. So, Saikou, I understand your plan. Smart you are. If that is your choice, then I will respect it. I’m on board. Let’s do this.”
The time ticked down for everyone. King was approaching the True Sacred Tree, Aamon joined the battle, Kaibo battled Michiaki’s World, Reiken’s plans were approaching, Ezra prepared for War, Lucky longed for power and decay, The Realms were colliding, and The Great Swordsmen were returning to the mainland.
Havoc was inevitable.
People needed to be saved from death and some needed to be saved before death.
With Aamon arriving, will it be enough to stop King’s true power and save everyone from destruction?

Ezra stared beyond her Realm. “I’m ready,” she said. After powering herself up for so long, her true strength emerged and forced her sword to target God. “Ren,” she called out. “Let’s go. Clara is not here right now. We don’t have time to waste.”
Ren contacted her, but informed her to wait just a little longer. “Ezra, please. The Elves aren’t willing to help, but I have a few who can power your mana just like me. They will support from behind. Do you truly think you can take on God by yourself?”
Ezra: “No, but I’m bringing him down to the surface. Just get the Egress and Blockade Chaplets together. I’m ending this.”
Ren: “Okay.”

King stood in front of Beyblue Island before the bridge and peered at the Mother Tree. “You. You are nothing but a pile of garbage. You call yourself powerful? Please. The people entranced here aren’t even at the hand of your strength. Maybe you’re just too stupid to see it. Allow me to show you.”
He raised his wand to the sky right above her and in a matter of 10 seconds, a dark eerie presence appeared. Hanging from the sky above the massive Mother Sacred Tree was the True Sacred Tree. Even Yasuhiro and Kouki did not know about this. This was where King’s and Kazuki’s past collided.
An all black tree with lanterns illuminating it all over. It levitated in the sky twice the size of the already massive tree below it. Insanely large tree roots spread all over the place, connecting even to the ground and the Mother Tree.
What Kouki did not see in that vision was the woman’s husband who had perished to the same fate. She chose not to show him to Kouki because of her deep rooted issues of the past.
The real story faded into existence. Left out pieces of a man who didn’t seem evil at all with a bright smile on his face. However, a deep and dark side was rooted within him.
He had told the incoming army of his wife and child in hopes that they would chase and try to kill them. He was a witch that forced everything correctly into place. For years, he studied the effects of Chaplets, but was never satisfied. He believed that true power was born within the mind’s boundaries.
As a witch, he forced his mind to endure trials that nobody could. His personality changed hundreds of times, each time becoming a new person and leaving the old one in the past. He ventured to the Infinite Library to seek knowledge, but when he arrived, he stood there facing the Great Sovereign and did not say a word.
He turned around and walked out without asking a question, falling from the sky to commit suicide. Before he hit the bottom, he was stopped by nothing. To this day he didn’t know what stopped him, but he drove himself mad at the thought of it.
From that moment, everything he did was for the wrong reason. Meeting his wife and having a kid was for the sole reason of experimenting with his theory.
His power strengthened from his belief in himself, but he did not even know if the Great Sovereign granted him this or if he developed this on his own after that moment. What was it? Nobody knew, however that day appeared where he trapped his wife and child to die within the tree that he created.
After they died, he ventured to their dead bodies, which had turned into trees themselves. His theory proved correct and their mana transferred to objects that did not have a pulse. From this moment, he did not care what had happened in the past. He believed that he was an anomaly of this world in order to create this.
He slit his own throat as black tree roots wrapped around his body and sunk him into the ground alongside his wife and child. The black tree took over in immense size, multiple times bigger than the other two, but nobody in the world could see it.
Except for…
Two small kids that were playing hide and seek.
The boy called the other Kazuki and in response, he called the other boy, King. “King?” he asked. “You know only my father calls me that, Kazuki. That’s not my real name.”
Kazuki: “Yeah, but…I want to be like your father when I grow up. He’s big and strong, so I want to call you King also.”
King: “Hmm, okay whatever. You’re it first! I’m going to hide.”
Kazuki: “Okay. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6…”
King rushed off while never taking his eyes off of Kazuki, which accidently forced him into a large black tree. “Wait,” he questioned. “I swear this was not here. Where did this come from?”
He entered while Kazuki eventually appeared behind him. “Wow you’re not very good at hiding. Tag, you’re it…Woah! What is this, King? Where did this giant tree come from?”
“I’m not sure…” he responded. “Wow. It’s huge! Let’s go inside!”
Kazuki hesitated, but followed his friend inside the base of the tree, which was essentially empty, but a small swirling black hole was rippling in the middle. They both peered into the abyss that it showed, but Kazuki was strong willed enough to pull back and dragged his friend away who clawed at the ground trying to get back to look at the black rippling hole.
Kazuki: “King, no. I don’t like you right now. Why are you doing this? You are being crazy. I’m going to go get mom if you don’t stop.”
King: “Kazuki, I can see it. I can see the truth. Power, it is what I actually want.”
Kazuki: “King, I’m going to get your father. Stay here.”
King: “No, Kazuki. I’m going to kill everyone you love and every last person in this world.”
Kazuki turned around before exiting the tree and didn’t think twice. Even though King was his friend, he always wanted to be a hero and protect the ones he loved. Anyone who threatened that he would not let happen. He ran to King and pushed him into the abyss.
But…
Before he was completely swallowed up, King reached out his arm and dragged Kazuki along with him.
Into the depths they fell. A space that flashed a bright blue light with the sound of a horn in the distance. It slowly got louder and the light flashed more.
King became entranced and Kazuki tried to get to him by swimming in the air, but couldn’t reach him.
The light and sound became so intense that it caused them both to pass out.
When they awoke, King’s body was lighting up black and Kazuki’s was white. It was a surrounding aura around the both of them, which then faded quickly.
Kazuki reached out his arm to King and called out his name while he continued to cry, but before he could get to him, yet again he was pulled away and this time upwards back to the top of the tree.
In a hateful rage, King yelled out and unwillingly unleashed a red darkness that followed Kazuki back to the top of the tree.
Before the hole closed, Kazuki and the substance exited as it shot away from him in the distance creating a large booming sound and the expansion of a rippling realm was created before it vanished before Kazuki’s eyes, but the remnants of a portal sat before it.
It was the last thing on his mind as he looked down at the tree, which was closed off. He punched and punched, but couldn’t get through at all with his strength.
Then…
The tree began to sink back in the ground. ‘Think! Think!’ he said to himself in his mind, but couldn’t do anything. He ran away without being able to help his friend.
He told his parents as well as King’s, what had happened. Naturally, they didn’t believe him and scolded Kazuki. To prove his point, he spent endless days digging with a rusty shovel until it broke. Hundreds and hundreds of feet deep, he found nothing, and cried for his friend.
The visions faded and King walked forward. “Your friend is not who he says he is. A pitiful man that abandons people.”
Before Kouki and Yasuhiro could talk, Kazuki himself came down from the sky. “Is that so, King? I abandoned you?”
King: “Kazuki. So you decided to finally show your face again? Thought you killed me? Think again.”
Kazuki: “What is a hero, King? That was both our goals as a kid. The difference between us is that I found what it meant and you did not. That vision–You hold on to that as if it’s life itself. I made a mistake as a kid. Does that define me? Does that define the millions of people I’ve saved? Yes, I’ve killed people and monsters. Do I regret it? I think so, but I think as time passed, I became numb to that pain in my heart. If I chose to do nothing, then what was the result? Death, murder, thieves…bad people that ruin this world.”
King: “AND WHAT OF ME?! WHAT OF MY LIFE THAT YOU THREW AWAY?!”
Kazuki sighed, but couldn’t think of anything to say that would please King. No matter what he said he couldn’t say anything that would persuade him to stop what he was doing, so he chose words that were unthoughtful, and lied through his teeth of what he believed to put on an act.
Kazuki: “Hahahah! Yeah! I did! I killed your passion! Your life! I took everything from you because I was a selfish kid! I wanted everything and wanted you out of my life. I never liked you to begin with King. I wanted you gone and I want to strip away the life you have!”
King: “KAZUKI!”
Kazuki: “KING!”
Before they dashed at each other, 2 prominent figures appeared on opposite sides of one another.
Kaibo: “My, my my. What do we have here? I like to fight too so ya know?”
Aamon: “Ah, refreshed as ever. It’s been a long time. So you are my teammate in this, Kazuki Alcion? Let’s show them the truth of what power really is. I believe our values align in the same way when it comes to that.”
Kaibo: “After I’m done here, I’m gonna kill Michiaki. That bastard. He has no idea what I’m capable of. A simple trick like that won’t work again. I’m getting serious now. I’m pissed off.”
Aamon: “I’ve been caged up pretty long. Physically and mentally, but I feel as free as a bird. I feel as if time is on the tip of my fingers. Should we test this everyone?”
Kazuki: “An anomaly I see. Yes, we shall join sides. I may need your help against another boney figure later on.”
Aamon: “Yeah, I sense that too. I awake and the fighting continues. Hahaha! Things don’t change, do they? I’m down for some fun. I got my ass kicked in the Titan War, but that was an entirely different beast. You two are nuisances compared.”
King: “Who the hell are you?”
Kaibo: “King was it? How about we team up on these fools?”
King: “Shut your mouth. As of right now, I’m stronger than all of you idiots. You’re all dying by my hand tonight.”
Kaibo: “Watch your mouth kid. Now I’m pissed off.”
Kazuki: “Kouki, Yasuhiro, and any other swordsmen that are hiding in the area. I advise you to leave before you meet death at his front door. Oh, and advise the current Leader of the Association to evacuate everyone within 100 miles of this area. I’ll do my best to set up barriers as I fight, but I can’t guarantee anything. Hmmm, I like my odds though. Actually, why don’t I just do it myself? I don’t like being lazy.”
With a snap of his fingers, Kouki, Yasuhiro, and everyone else in the area vanished into thin air alongside everyone within 100 miles to a circular metal platform that shone light down from the sky. Ezra’s main body stood at the front with Ren alongside her.
In a speech, Ezra embodied confidence and passion for those to follow her. Kazuki had planned this all along to help Ezra in her fight. In front of her were people that he thought were able to handle the fight and the rest were teleported far far away back to Lorenzo Cain’s land.
The healed Swordsmen included Sayo, Kouki, Astro, Akari, Agatha, Yasuhiro, Iki, Yureth, Arata, Yahiko, and to everyone’s surprise…Ryoko who contained the same powers he had, but his mind had been tweaked back to his original self via Kazuki.
Ezra expected there to be more, but Kazuki had assured her that he would only put those in danger if they could save themselves. Everyone else was sent away.
There wasn’t many allies left…
They had been killed, stolen, and somewhat forgotten, but nobody had a chance to mourn or grieve with the enemies that followed.
Yureth walked away from everyone and Iki yelled out at him, asking what he was doing, but the only response he gave was, “Going back to my miserable life. Better off there than dead. If you ever get that girl back, tell her she’s the first person ever to sense me. Give her my regards. Oh, and send her my way,” he said as he winked.
Ezra had gotten started without explaining to anyone what was going on. However, everyone was already prepared for what was happening. Using a Blockade Chaplet with Yellow Egress Chaplets, Ren activated it down below while Ezra disappeared.
