Chapter 32:

The Return of God: Titan Alcion

Blades of the Shattered Chaplets: 4th Novel

Above in the Realms, she crossed the border of her territory. Normally, she would not be allowed to cross over to other leader’s domains, but in this instance, her sword’s will overpowered any rule. ‘We still need the Devil’s Sword,’ she thought, but it was nowhere to be seen since Michiaki had given it to Kaibo.

The strength she gained from sitting in her realm and harnessing its strength forged her path towards defeating God. In the domain, white pillars extended upwards as she walked on floating clouds. Marbled furniture laid everywhere, but the air felt thin and had a dark presence. Nothing was to be seen but an empty wooden bench with a pillow.

As she looked closer, a figure was invisible on the bench, laying his head down and sleeping.

Taking her sword in her hand, she aimed it at the bench as it ignited in a blazing burst of golden spheres that bolted at the bench, absolutely obliterating it.

When the smoke cleared, she wasn’t shocked. The figure became visible and the bench was destroyed, but he remained floating in the air and lying on his pillow.

He grunted…

“That was very nice, was it?” he said. “How long’s it been, Ezra Tohsaka?”

A beast of a person laid there. Long white hair that draped over the front of his shoulders. Wearing a white, black, and red kimono with a flaming dragon design, his bright yellow eyes shined menacingly. From a simple glance, it’s like death was staring right down at Ezra. Red leaves fell from above him slowly, waiting, waiting, and then…poof!

He appeared in front of Ezra without her even being able to react and he punched her so hard that she flew back into her realm. She screamed out, “REN! NOW!”

He activated the Blockade Chaplet in an attempt to pull God down, but they underestimated God’s strength. Despite Ezra’s preparation for this fight and remembering his strength, she had not done enough. Somehow, he had grown stronger than last time.

Ren: “Everyone! Get in! We are going up!”

Before they did, Kalbokulus appeared and chanted, “God’s Wrath,” before going back into the ground randomly.

The sky shattered and the Realms began to fall.

The floors opened, forcing Ezra to take care of her people before battling God. ‘I have more important priorities right now,’ she thought as she went back to save everyone from falling back to the ground, which would result in their deaths completely.

Ezra: “I won’t let what happened last time happen again!”

God laughed and willingly jumped down, joined by some allies behind him that was no surprise to anyone. Token, Azelth, Tairen, Rynjuro, and Hachiro Jiro who did not seem to be on their side since he was bleeding from a wooden board and beaten to hell.

His presence was insane and with the step of his foot, none of the swordsmen could breathe. Astro thought for himself and tried to go into a portal, but the air was even missing from inside. Agatha activated Phoenix's Draft and began to breathe in fire to combat the air, which worked, but nobody else could do this right now except for her brother.

Kouki and Yasuhiro tried to create air from the Sacred tree, but at the moment, their powers were extremely weak from the True Sacred tree overpowering their own.

They choked on air, not knowing what to do before Ezra came down and saved them all. “Everyone, get out of here. This is not the fight that I had expected. Ren, stay by my side. The rest of you, leave.”

Sayo had been fine too, having breathed in her dragon technique, but nobody else could handle even one step from God’s foot. However, nobody cared. They were staying regardless of the situation.

God looked at Sayo with an interesting look and then refocused and said, “Pitiful beings. Bow down to me with your bodies.”

Everyone this time fell to their knees before he spoke again except for Ezra. “I am the fiercest deity in the world. Ezra put you all up to this? What a shame. You all know me as a God? No, that is not my name. That is not what I am. I am higher than a God. I was here before creation existed. When there was nothing, I was there. I created that nothingness before it was something. My name is Titan Alcion. Join me and I will grant you a spot in my new army.”

They all questioned the last name. “Alcion? What? Huh?” they all started to blurt out.

Astro’s instincts kicked in and tried to get away via his black portal, but Titan pulled him out towards him and grabbed him by the neck. “S-S-Sto-Stop i-it!” Astro yelled out, but was so inferior to him.

Agatha: “Stop! We’ll join you! Don’t kill him!”

Titan: “Good. One person spoke up. How about the rest of you?”

Yasuhiro and Yahiko both said at the same time, “Like hell we’d join you,” but Titan’s response was, “Did you really think you had a choice?”

A golden wave of a thick substance covered their bodies before everyone’s eyes became filled with the same substance.

Ezra tried to cancel it out, but nothing worked. Titan was stronger than she imagined. And now, she would have to battle outside of her realm. Their plan had ultimately failed having thought that his strength would decrease, but it didn’t.

Ezra recognized the difference in strength and needed to get away for now. Even with her strength right now, she knew she would lose having to fight all these people. She couldn’t hold back, and she knew she would kill them all if she fought right now.

She tried to run at the speed of light, but Titan appeared right in front of her and shoved her face into the ground, then beat her to a pulp. Her sword triggered automatically and sliced up his body, but it was like an invisible shield that surrounded him, not letting the sword slice him at all.

Ezra couldn’t believe the difference in strength even after all this time of forcing her sword to turn against God. This wasn’t like the last time they had fought and she knew her strength hadn’t decreased. There was something that was wrong, but she couldn’t think right now and all her planning had gone in the tank.

Her eyes turned gold and her mind went blank like the rest of them. Titan looked down upon her with an unsettling look. He looked miserable and annoyed as everyone was in his trance.

Then…

A voice.

Michiaki came raining down from the sky.

Michiaki: “God right? No. Titan? Titan Alcion? A member of the Alcion clan? I don’t have information about you. A rarity if you knew who I was.”

Titan: “Know about you? Who do you think you are? Pitiful humans need to stay in their lanes. I’ll make you know my name.”

Michiaki: “Sure. I’ll know your name. Will that stop you from destroying this world? I’d rather not go to the other Worlds if I can avoid it.”

Titan: “The Worlds? You’re a user of the Worlds of Protrations? Then I shall follow you wherever you go and make you regret ever meeting me.”

Michiaki: “Well, you were going to destroy this world anyways. I had to come and see. Ahh, I’d rather not fight, but I guess I’m going to have to until Kazuki is done. As much as I didn’t want to, I knew something like this was going to happen once Ezra mentioned the idea. I can only assume The Leech and Veymaru are close by as well.”

Titan: "Knowledgeable you are. Join my army willingly and I won’t turn you. However, refuse and I’ll make you like all of them.”

Michiaki: “I’m not one to brag about my skills, but in this instance I think I shall. You think that a bunch of washed up swordsmen and a Ruler of a Realm that has to build up her strength and force her sword to change its mindset hold a candle to me? You must not know who I am. I’ll take pity on you.”

Titan: “Don’t make me look down on you. What is your last name, pitiful human?”

Michiaki: “Ah, I shall introduce myself fully then. 1st Reverend of the Great Swordsmen, The Almighty Weapon. Right hand fairy to Morlin the Magnificent, The Banished Witch, and Former Grand Ruler of the Elf Clan. Although I do not really care, I guess I’ll go all out. If you are anything like the man I fought before, then I shall take you seriously. I did not know of his strength back then, and I regret not using this, so I will use it now. I’m not afraid to ask for help. Morlin! Come! Elves! Come! Heed my call. Obey my contract as your former ruler!”

The ground exploded beneath Titan. Hundreds of different looking elves emerged and grabbed the swordsmen before they could do anything. Thousands of mana strings extended and pulled them away besides for Ezra and Titan. They disappeared and the elves went underground, but Titan stopped the ground and forced them back up to the surface in which they all activated a Levitation Chaplet and flew back towards Michiaki.

Morlin rained down from the sky next to Michiaki and bowed down to him.

Morlin: “I see your training has paid off. You are stronger than me. It’s been a while, my pupil.”

Michiaki: “Let’s hope you haven’t lost your strength, Morlin. I came and visited you when the Time Chaplet took effect. Although, you let that happen to you, didn’t you?”

Morlin: “I knew you would notice. I wanted to feel something and it helped. You know how I am. I’ve lost emotion for far too long. Maybe if I’m on the brink of death, then I will feel something again. Will this fight grant me that, Michiaki?”

Michiaki: “Hahaha. Of course it will, master. Look at our opponents. 2 Realm users…Titan Alcion. I will ask this one more time. Do you wish to destroy this world?”

Titan: “Let me tell you something boy. Do you know why humans exist? Look at me. I created them! I gave them life. Everything that you know is because of me. You sit here and talk down to me. You call that woman your master? I am your true master boy! I’ve had enough talking. It’s been too long since I have fought for real. Don’t disappoint me…Script Rewrite.”

A white noise filled the air almost like a silent bomb, and then the space around them changed. They floated midair amongst the stars as Michiaki and Morlin stared right at the moon.

Michiaki: “THE BODY SEEKS THE TRUTH…”

They came back to the original ground and Michiaki sliced at Titan, but his sword wouldn’t even pierce his body as he went to grab his face before Michiaki teleported back to Morlin.

Michiaki: “He’s not using his sword yet. Watch out.”

As he said this, hundreds of portals appeared all around them with swords that shot out at them and then from above, a gigantic portal rained down a sword that they both avoided, but shoved right down into the ground and didn’t stop as it created a hole that was 500 feet wide.

Morlin: “Michiaki, I’m going to go all out from the start. Soul Summoner: Charles Foster!”

In the distance, a gravestone rattled and from the dirt emerged bones that formed together. The old woman gardening her plants in the Land of the Rising Phoenix was in shock. His skin began to form into a man with purple hair that hung down the sides of his face while the rest spiked around his head with a ponytail in the back.

He wore black gloves and a purple and gold collared outfit with a black suit that matched underneath. His purple eyes ignited the woman’s heart along with the blue earrings that hung down. He smiled and then bolted off towards Morlin and laughed.

Charles: “HAHAAHAHHA! Lovely! The day is fine indeed! I have awoken from my slumber! How long do I have Morlin? Tell me! I’m dying to know! Ha! You get the joke?”

Morlin: “As giddy as ever Charles. You have until you defeat that man or he defeats you.”

Charles: “And what about the woman? Who is she? Wait a minute…Ezra! I was in your realm! Hey…Why are you fighting us? I don’t like it…Well, my objective is the big guy, right? Who is he?”

Michiaki: “That’s God himself.”

Charles: “God? No. That is not my God. My God is Morlin. Convince me otherwise. Hmph! Hey! Big boy! Why do you look so mean? Lighten up!”

Titan: “Archetype Devourer.”

This ability ate light from darkness. Titan wanted to try something against this man. Charles' smile began to fade and he became less happy. His muscles became limp and he began to fall to the ground.

Charles: “Fight Charles. Fight yourself. Remember. Control your mind and you control yourself. Question the feeling! Fight! Charles! Fight yourself!”

He gave himself a motivational pep talk before his knee hit the ground and then peeked back up with a smile on his face again.

Charles: “We’re back! Nobody tramples on my pride! The day my knees hit the ground is the day I surrender and that will never happen! I control my own will. I don’t know who you are, but you are not my god. That is my choice! Come! Kill me if you must, but I won’t change for you! I’ll take that to my grave!”

Titan: “Don’t think you're special. I’ve seen people like you. You think a strong will can defeat an immortal being? Chrono Eclipse Domain.”

This ability targeted emotion specifically, targeting the nervous system. In doing so, emotion would fade from the individual and cause their will to spiral down. He yet again tested this on Charles only to break him.

Titan: “Try to resist. There will be consequences either way.”

Charles: “My cells feel like they are on fire! Morlin, you revived me at the best time possible. This feeling! I love it! Keep going! Challenge my will!”

Avoiding this only made it worse for Charles. He entered a paradox loop of the constant feeling. Michiaki was a little concerned, but Morlin stopped him from approaching as everyone sat back and watched Charles struggle.

Ultimately, Charles eventually broke the loop and snarled at Titan with foam running down his mouth combined with blood.

Titan: “Oh? You bit your own tongue off? Maybe I was wrong about you. Are you three ready to fight seriously? I need to destroy this world. After all, you can blame Ezra for this. I want control of the 5 Realms now because of you Michiaki, I want control of all the Worlds.”

Michiaki: “Even if I don’t defeat you, Titan Alcion, you will never take control of the Worlds. There are beings that are stronger than you. In fact, there is one right behind you that has the power to cause havoc.”

Agatha Rekka sent a flying flame phoenix right towards Titan who put his hand out and cancelled out the ability. “Pitiful,” he said.

Agatha: “Kazuki granted me this ability right now. I won’t let him down. Singularity Expansion: Control Over All!”

Time froze much like the Time Chaplet, but like before, Agatha was in control of everything. She walked up to Titan and cut his body into a million pieces, but to her surprise, she heard a laugh and his body regenerated. “Wh-Wha?” she called out, having remembered what Kazuki said about the ability.

“Nobody can counter that ability. It is truly the strongest,” he had told her.

Agatha: “Then why? Why master? Why is he evading it?”

Titan: “A story tells of 5 Gods of the Realms and how they came to be. Do you know why that is a lie, little one? It’s because I am the one true only God. Narrative Override!”

Her ability clashed with his, but because she wasn’t the original Agatha, Titan’s eventually succeeded over hers.

He struck her chest before Charles exploded behind him.

Charles: “Omniscient Silence!”

His body disappeared, then reappeared and sliced at Titan with his silver blade before he repelled him, but the body disappeared again.

Over and over he tried with a smile on his face.

He laughed.

Charles: “I’m enjoying this fight, Titan! Keep it up! Show me more! More! More! Forking Soul!”

He stabbed himself in the heart, purposely killing himself as Titan watched confused.

Charles: “I’m gonna do whatever it takes to win this battle. I’ve already figured you out.”

He did it again, yet again killing himself.

What Titan did not know was that the more he did this, the stronger that he became. He split his soul multiple times into infinite versions.

Charles: “A God you say? How about you test my power and tell me. Am I at the level of a God yet?”

He thrusted his sword at Titan, but this time Titan’s face looked somewhat panicked even for a split second. Morlin could see this and sent an attack of her own, but he became angry and repelled everything.

That’s when Michiaki swooped in and grabbed Agatha who was severely injured. He used a Healing Chaplet on her, but the strike by God was more than what the Chaplet could heal.

Michiaki: “His ability directly affects mana flow. It’s not the soul or I could fix it. Hmm, I’ve never seen this before. Agatha, my dear. Hang in there. I’ll get you to someone.”

Teleporting her away, he was able to focus again.

Titan: “You. You human. I’ve never bothered with humanity because of their pitiful presences. Even these so-called gods aren’t on my level. However, for some reason, I sense something strange about you. Nobody has ever made me so mad that I wanted to control the Realms. Maybe it isn’t you. Maybe it was my isolation for so long, but the Realms have crashed and collided. You can thank Ezra for that.”

Michiaki: “What do you mean?”

Titan: “Oh? Does your knowledge not extend to that? Whenever a Realm ruler enters another Realm, then cracks form in the barriers. Had Ezra never entered into my space, then I would still be stuck up there. The only other way to break the barrier is if the stupid Devil’s sword returned to the Realms. However, that is impossible, until now.”

Michiaki: “So Ezra caused this to happen? It doesn’t surprise me. She was blinded by hatred and revenge and seemed to be persuaded by some figures that you had control over or so I’ve heard–”

Titan: “Do you understand what a God is?”

Michiaki: “A God is no different than a man with morals and values. It seems somewhere down the line, you lost your own. Even if you were a God in the past, you are no longer a God. And certainly not anyone’s down here.”

Titan: “Hehe. Pitiful. I’m going to enjoy your death.”

Michiaki: “Oh? Then bring it on. Morlin…Charles. Let’s show this fool what it’s like to look down on humans.”
