Chapter 33:

Battle of the Origins: King vs Kazuki Alcion

Blades of the Shattered Chaplets: 4th Novel

The air felt cold and thin with the darkness that resided amongst the four of them. The overwhelming powers combined could destroy the entire world if they had teamed up against humanity.

In the far off distance, Aelig sat with Kyuma and observed.

Aelig: “This is a fight we must watch my pupil.”

Kyuma: “Why is that?”

Aelig: “I have taught you to be strong enough to get rid of Centennial Parrel’s curse, but watch. Not everyone is like you. Watch as the strongest of this world battle each other for fate.”

Kyuma: “Aamon and Kazuki have to win! They are much stronger!”

Aelig: “I wouldn’t be so sure of that, my pupil. Let us watch.”

Kaibo’s barrage of attacks fluttered in the wind, pressing both Alcion and Aamon, showing why he was a true 1st Reverend.

King did not care for any of them and used his wand to send black portals all around everyone that expelled black smoke into the air.

They all became stunned for a moment while King Went after Kazuki whom he believed to be the biggest threat.

However, his own body began to be stunned as well, but he pursued through it to attack Kazuki who disappeared behind King.

Before he could swing Alcion down, Kaibo lassoed a rope-like string of mana around his sword and pulled it away.

Trying to use it, Alcion would not grant permission to him and cut off Kaibo’s hand.

He laughed, but then cut off his own arm just to prove a point that he did not care before he used a Healing Chaplet and grew it back.

King brought the sky down full of darkness as if it became a regular object, but the three of them did not even try to dodge it as their bodies all pierced right through it.

In any other instance, King’s abilities would’ve killed anyone that stood against him, but before him were 3 of the strongest people in the world, on par with the Realm Rulers.

Aamon had been silent this entire time, observing as he often did in fights. He then laughed and forcibly activated his moon state, but surprisingly it did not go to him, but the mana reigned down on Kaibo, which froze him in space.

Aamon: “We’re good now Kazuki. We got 10 minutes. He won’t break free, but the only problem is nobody can kill him for the allotted time, not even you. You and me versus this little guy. You hear that? I’m starting to get a little cocky again. Feels good. Thank you, my wife. I owe you everything…Time’s Eclipse!”

King fell to the ground and the powers of the Sacred Tree began to revert back to a normal tree.

Infuriated, King stood up and screamed hard.

King: “Oblivion Vein! I’m not done with you, you stupid tree! Maintain that power!”

Darkened mana expanded towards the tree and the air rippled with black holes that pulled vigorously at their bodies.

Bolting forward, Aamon and Kazuki sliced at the black holes that appeared as they charged King.

Aamon: “Future Erasism!”

Kazuki: “White Dwarf!”

Compressing his own mana, he shot out a gigantic mass of golden mana while Aamon erased the possible future of losing.

Because of this, King had no way of winning. However, he chanted out, “Tenebral Genesis: Void Chant: Nihilbirth!”

He erased existence once again except for the Sacred Tree that remained as a large power source for King.

Aamon tried to activate his abilities, but Kazuki informed him that it would not work here. All they did was smile though and decided that they would thrust through in a different way.

Forging their path, they darted at King who was sloppy with his technique right now, but he did something that Kazuki didn’t think he would try. He thought he would die before saying this, however he was wrong.

The words that came out of King’s mouth was the name of the tree, which granted him power beyond all, completely forging his body with it.

In this small amount of time, Kazuki wondered why he did this. He wasn’t cornered yet and had the majority of the power from the tree. Whatever the reason, Kazuki could no longer call this man his friend.

Aamon: “Kazuki, what’s happening?”

Kazuki: “He said the name of the tree. A curse is put on him. He’s going to have the strength of the entire Dark Mold and Centennial Parrel’s curse as well as his own strength and the mana of a strong witch. Aamon, do you believe in me?”

Aamon: “Ha! Why the question? I believe in your morals and values, so yeah I believe in you stranger.”

Kazuki: “Okay, then I need you to go help the others. Your abilities will definitely help them, but be aware that the man over by them is stronger than King and probably anyone you have fought in the past. I will take care of King and Kaibo. Go make sure nobody dies.”

Aamon: “Sure thing. Oh, but I think you’re underestimating me, Kazuki. I have yet to use even 30% of my strength. I’m out…Time Teleporter.”

King’s body enveloped itself into the sacred tree as it collapsed on his body and formed an entirely different creature. A gigantic flesh-like body made of black goo, containing 3 red eyes and a mouth that stretched across his entire face.

Before Kazuki could even speak a word to try and see if his friend was still in there, he was met face to face with this creature faster than he had imagined. Never in his entire life had he seen something like this.

He avoided a fatal injury, but his face was slashed heavily and as he tried to heal it, he couldn’t. He looked at his hand full of blood and this scar that would not fix itself.

He laughed silently, but like a maniac.

This was new for Kazuki. He hadn’t experienced this in a very long time, especially from his former friend.

Kazuki: “Sorry, sorry. I don’t know what came over me. I think I’m going a little crazy. I see. This world is not meant for you. The Worlds of Protrations certainly could hold you, but this world is too weak for you. If I don’t take you down now, then you will certainly end up battling Titan and destroy this world.”

As he finished his sentence, he gashed Kazuki’s left leg yet again with his long nails.

He winced…

He laughed it off though and sliced at King with Alcion as it was deflected backwards, unable to hit.

Before Kazuki could turn to slice again, King kicked him and demolished his armor.

He coughed up blood as well before chanting, “Main Sequence: Celestial Domain.”

Stars and moons floated in the air in all sizes and shapes, which pursued King as he backed away for a moment with Alcion.

Kazuki: “Haha, we aren’t doing so hot are we? Crap–!”

Before he knew it, King was already bolting at him with his large fists, but he evaded it and ran, then used continuous Chaplets to teleport back and forth between places.

He appeared behind King, but he had sensed him and in less than 0.01 seconds, King turned around and stabbed Kazuki in the chest with his sharp nails.

Coughing up blood, Alcion sliced off the sharp hand and pushed his master away, but the relentless attacks would not stop.

There was a reason why the True Sacred Tree’s name was never said, and this was exactly why. Only a handful knew the name, and in doing so, you sacrificed your life for power. His friend was no longer alive. Kazuki could not even save him.

Kazuki: “King! You bastard! If you won’t come back, then I’ll meet you in hell and whoop your ass for you being a stupid arrogant fool! Tauri Star: Infinite Complexity of Age!”

Gigantic stars began to appear all around the enemy out of thin air and exploded continuously, ripping his body apart.

Kazuki then chanted again, “Waxing Crescent: Explosive Destroyer!”

The moons of all the Great Swordsmen appeared in the sky, but combined into one gigantic white moon and came raining down onto the Sacred Tree.

When King saw this, he immediately turned his attention towards the moon and shot a single bullet from his hands that exploded it midair into pieces while still being affected by Kazuki’s technique.

He screamed out loud, then shot similar bullets towards Kazuki, which he evaded.

But…

He hadn’t completely evaded them, however he thought he did. Blood began to pour from his left eye and he couldn’t see. ‘Huh? I evaded, didn’t I?’ he thought.

The barrage of attacks kept coming, but Alcion stepped in front and deflected the bullets.

In this moment, Kazuki knew that no matter what phase of the star or moon he used, he could not stop this man without equal defeat. He figured that they would kill each other and he couldn’t have that.

Kazuki: “Listen to me, old friend. I cannot allow these innocent people to be hurt. The strong seemed to have risen again and I must protect those that need help. I tried to save you and I didn’t want to use this, but you’ve forced my hand.”

He looked to his left to see that Kaibo was already gone. He was unfrozen not too long ago, but Kazuki was too busy dealing with King.

Combining his hands very closely, but not touching, he forced a single black ball that was hard to control. Anyone else would’ve exploded into a million pieces having tried this, but for Kazuki, this was familiar to him. The ball spun as white sparks flew from it.

Opening his hands, the ball began to expand and then eventually it became gigantic above his head.

Kazuki: “My friend, I’m sorry. Star Level of Moon Infinity, First Generation, Creator of All: Chaos!”

The black hole expanded in less than the blink of an eye and whiteness blurred the area. In the distance, Aelig took Kyuma and teleported away via a Chaplet.

Aelig: “Do not look my pupil. You will be blinded. Let’s leave. Even I will never reach that level. Come! We shall train until we are close to on par with that man.”

Kyuma: “Yes sir!”

When the white color cleared the area, Kazuki walked over to King who’s body reverted back to his original self.

The Sacred Tree began to shrink and became burnt, however so did the mother and child tree, which stripped Yasihiro and Kouki of their abilities completely.

King looked up at Kazuki speaking softly.

King: “S-So you were hiding an ability all along. I guess I should’ve known.”

Kazuki: “King. Why? I cannot save you like this. Your soul is tainted by darkness. Why would you do such a thing?”

King: “Go to hell, Kazuki. I’ll make sure to defeat you there.”

Kazuki kneeled down and grabbed his shirt, pulling him further.

Kazuki: “WHY?! WHY?! KING! WHY DO THIS?”

He began to cry and continued to yell at him, questioning his motive, but eventually, his eyes went cold before he could respond, and Kazuki hugged him in his arms, crying for his friend who’s life he had just taken away…
