"In the left corner," The referee roared, gesturing toward the door on his right. "We have Little Miss Miracle Eyes...give it up for our rising star, ALICE!!!!"
The crowd goes wild with cheers and applause as Alice walks into the arena. Her dark skin glimmers under the arena lights, and her eyes continue to switch between visible light and x-ray as she scans the arena for any potential threats.
On the other side of the arena, her opponent, a tall and well-dressed elf known for his powerful ice attacks, saunters out of the opposite door. A cocky smirk is plastered on his face.
The crowd cheers at the sight of the elf warrior, clearly expecting him to put up a tough fight.
"And in the other corner," The referee continued, gesturing toward the elf. "We have the 'Ice Prince' of the northern lands, ZARLIVIUS WHITEBANE!!!”
Zarlivius takes a moment to bask in the adoration of the crowd, preening at the applause like a peacock. He turns to Alice, his smirk growing even wider.
"Oh, look who I get to battle today," he mocks, his voice dripping with condescension. "The rising star with those little Miracle Eyes. How cute.”
Alice remains unfazed by his taunts, her expression unchanging. She continues scanning the arena with her Miracle Eyes, her senses on high alert.
"Don't worry, I won't go too hard on you," Zarlivius says, still wearing that smug smirk. "I wouldn't want to hurt that pretty face of yours.”
The crowd chuckles at Zarlivius' comment, clearly enjoying the banter. Some even begin to call out suggestions on how Zarlivius should handle the battle.
Alice gives Zarlivius a sidelong glance, a hint of annoyance crossing her features. "Oh, how considerate of you," she says dryly. "I'll be sure to thank you once I've won."
With a wave of a flag, the referee yells: "BEGIN!!!!”
Zarlivius immediately launches a barrage of ice attacks at Alice, each one formed in ultraviolet for her to be unable to see the attacks. The crowd watches in anticipation, eager to see how Alice will handle the attacks.
Alice stands her ground as the ice attacks come at her from all directions, her eyes darting around the arena in a frenzied manner. She quickly shifts her vision to the ultraviolet spectrum, using her Miracle Eyes to detect the attacks' positions despite their lack of visibility.
The crowd gasps in shock as Alice easily dodges each of the ice attacks, moving with quick and graceful movements that seem almost inhuman.
Zarlivius' eyes widen in surprise as Alice effortlessly dodges his attacks. He had been certain that using ultraviolet ice would give him the upper hand, but it appears he underestimated his opponent.
"Damn it," he mutters under his breath, his smirk faltering slightly. "This isn't going according to plan…”
Alice continues to evade the ice attacks, her movements like a dance as she weaves and dodges through them. Her eyes remain locked on Zarlivius, carefully observing his every move.
The crowd is stunned into silence, watching with bated breath as Alice continues to outmaneuver her opponent. They had expected the "Ice Prince" to have an easy victory, but Alice's skills are proving otherwise.
Zarlivius' frustration grows as his attacks continue to miss Alice. He begins to throw more ice attacks, each one more powerful than the last, but Alice remains unfazed, her dodges growing even more fluid and graceful.
The crowd's admiration for Alice grows, their cheers growing louder with each successful dodge. Even Zarlivius' fans are starting to switch sides, impressed by Alice's skills. The crowd began whispering again.
"Woah, so she can see in ultraviolet too?!"
"I believe she can see the whole damn spectrum at this point!”
Zarlivius scowls as the crowd begins to root for Alice, his ego bruised at the sight of people cheering for his opponent. He doubles down on his attacks, throwing more and more ice at Alice, hoping to overwhelm her.
But Alice remains calm and focused, continuing to dodge and weave through the ice attacks with ease. Her eyes darted around the arena, watching Zarlivius closely, waiting for an opening.
The crowd is now completely on Alice's side as they witness her incredible display of skill. They call out in support for her, their cheers and chants filling the arena.
Zarlivius grits his teeth as he continues to attack, his face twisted in frustration. "This can't be happening..." he mutters, his voice rising in anger. "No one, and I mean NO ONE, has ever beaten me in battle! And I will not lose to this...this newbie girl!”
Alice finally sees an opening through Zarlivius' increasingly sloppy attacks, and she quickly capitalizes on it. She darts forward, slipping through the gaps in Zarlivius' attacks and closing the distance between them.
The crowd explodes with excitement as they watch Alice go on the offensive. "Go, Alice! Show him!" someone in the crowd yells.
Zarlivius' eyes widen in shock as Alice suddenly moves towards him. "What the-?!" he sputters. "How did she...?”
Zarlivius' surprise quickly turns to panic before he creates a dome of ice around him. His ultimate defense. But Alice knew that all shields have a weak point, and so she shifted her vision to the gamma ray spectrum next…
Alice's eyes narrow as she switches her vision to gamma ray, honing in on Zarlivius' ice dome. She studies it closely, searching for a weak point in the structure.
The crowd watches in anticipation, wondering how Alice will break through Zarlivius' powerful defense. Zarlivius himself watches Alice intently, his confidence returning as he grins smugly.
After a few moments of intense observation, Alice finally locates a weak point in the ice dome. It's tiny, almost imperceptible, but it's there.
"Gotcha." she mutters under her breath.
Zarlivius grins smugly, thinking he has her now. "You can't break through my barrier, girlie. It's impenetrable.”
Alice raises an eyebrow, a sly smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "Really? You're so sure about that, huh?"
The crowd goes silent, intrigued by Alice's response. Zarlivius simply chuckles, his smirk widening. "Of course I am. My ice barrier is indestructible. No one has ever broken through it. Not even the strongest warriors.”
A challenging glint shines in Alice's eyes. "We'll see about that."
Alice concentrates, her focus solely on the weak point in the ice dome. She gathers her energy and prepares to attack.
The crowd holds their breath, waiting to see what Alice will do next. Even the referee leans in, intrigued by the turn of events.
Zarlivius watches Alice closely, his smirk unwavering. "You're wasting your time, girlie. That barrier is uncrackable. You're only going to tire yourself out—"
But Alice doesn't listen. She continues to concentrate, her energy building up like a coiled spring.
The silence is deafening as everyone in the arena waits for Alice's move.
Zarlivius' smirk falters slightly as he begins to sweat. He can feel the power behind Alice's energy building up and it's unnerving. He takes a subtle step back, his confidence slightly shaken.
"Come on...make your move." he taunts, attempting to hide his nervousness.
Alice doesn't respond to his taunt. She stays completely focused on the ice dome, her energy now pulsating like a coiled spring.
The crowd is now completely silent, all eyes locked on Alice as she prepares to make her move. Zarlivius continues to sweat, his smirk fading even more.
He's starting to realize that he may have underestimated this newcomer.
Alice takes a brief moment to steady herself, taking a deep breath. This was it. It was now or never.
She shifts her vision back to visible light, staring intensely at the ice dome. She locks her focus on the weak point, mentally calculating the angle and power needed to break through.
Zarlivius is now visibly nervous, sweat trickling down his face. He continues to taunt, albeit somewhat weakly, to try and keep up the facade. "You'll never do it, girl. Just give up now and save yourself the embarrassment—”
Alice remains stone-faced, ignoring Zarlivius' attempts to throw her off. She continues to concentrate, every muscle in her body tensing as she readies for the attack.
Zarlivius' taunts grow more and more desperate as he starts to feel the pressure. "Come on! Stop dawdling and make your move already!"
Alice remains unflinching, her focus unwavering. She takes one final deep breath, her body now a coiled spring ready to be unleashed.
The impact of Alice's attack causes the ice dome to crack and shudder, showing the first signs of wear.
Zarlivius' eyes widen as he stumbles back, clearly in shock at the force behind Alice's attack. "No way...how did she do that?!”
Alice doesn't respond. She focuses intently on the ice dome, watching the cracks spread and deepen.
Zarlivius watches in disbelief, his face twisting into a mixture of shock and disbelief. "How is this possible? That barrier is indestructible! No one has ever been able to break through it!"
"All barriers have a weak spot," Alice shot back nonchalantly, "No matter how microscopic it may be.”
Zarlivius is taken aback by her words. He thought his barrier was invulnerable, but Alice's attack proved otherwise.
"How...how did you know?" he stammers, still in shock.
Alice shrugged, her energy still surging. "Simple. All I had to do was switch to gamma ray to find the weakest point.”
Zarlivius is dumbfounded. He thought his strategy was foolproof, but Alice had discovered the chink in his armor.
"But...but gamma ray is supposed to be impossible to see without special equipment!" he splutters.
Alice shook her head. "I'm not like most people.”
Zarlivius is now fully realizing the extent of Alice's abilities. She had not only breached his nigh impenetrable ice shield, but she had done so by using an ability that was supposedly impossible to use without special equipment. Zarlivius is visibly shaken.
The crowd, on the other hand, is going absolutely wild. They're shouting and cheering, amazed at Alice's display of power and ingenuity.
Zarlivius' confidence has been shattered. He had thought he was unbeatable, but Alice's display of power has shown him otherwise.
"You're...you're something else..." he mutters, his voice shaking. Zarlivius grits his teeth in frustration and anger. He had thought he was invincible, but Alice had proven him wrong.
"You may have broken through my barrier," he mutters, "but you won't get any further than that. I'll make sure of it."
"I don't think I'd have to worry about that any more."
Alice pointed at the meters on the television, showing Zarlivius's aura levels reaching below the critical level, which ended the match.
Zarlivius' eyes widen in horror as he realizes the situation. His aura levels are dangerously low, and the match is over.
The crowd erupts into cheers, their applause and shouts echoing throughout the arena. Alice has won, and everyone knows it.
Zarlivius is still in a state of shock, struggling to process what just happened. He looks at Alice, his arrogant demeanor gone.
"I...I can't believe it…”
Alice doesn't respond and just stands there, her energy still surging, a small smile on her face.
The crowd continues to cheer and applaud, their energy palpable. Alice has become an instant sensation, and the arena is alive with excitement.
"The winner of this tournament is...ALICE!" the referee shouted.
The crowd goes wild as the referee declares Alice the winner of the tournament. The arena fills with cheers and applause, the atmosphere electric.
Zarlivius is still speechless, his face a mixture of frustration and awe. He had come here with the intention of winning easily, but Alice had shattered his hopes in one swift move.
The referee approaches Alice, a small trophy in his hand. "Congratulations, Alice. You are the new champion."
Alice accepts the trophy graciously, a small grin on her face. "Thank you."
The crowd continues to cheer for her, chanting her name like a mantra. Alice is now the talk of the tournament, and her name will undoubtedly spread like wildfire.
