Dangalak

The three of them look at him with a calm look on their faces

"You don't believe us do you ?" Ryosuke asked him

"Not at all, i believe that you believe every word that you just said to me, you're free to believe and fight whatever you want, i simply don't believe in those things so i simply don't believe i will fit in your fighting team so that's why i decline your proposition" Ryota answered politely to him

"In other words you don't believe that demons exist, don't you Mrs. Endo ?" Masami asked him

"Oh believe like most of the folks that evil spirits exist, i live in the Kyoto to not believe in those things, that's why i visit a shrine once in the month and take Omikuji and pray a bit" he answered to her playfully

"I see, well it looks like we cannot persuade you" Masami said quietly

"Glad that we understand each other" Ryota said as he stand up from the table

"Now if you'll excuse me i will be on my way, thanks again for your hospitality, the food was deliscious"

"You're very welcome dearie, Takashi did you hear that ? your food was amazing again" Masami said to Takashi which he had brought Ryota's coat

Ryota's went downstairs while the rest of them followed him from behind. Nobuyuki waved to Ryota as he was serving a cocktail to a customer

"Have a peaceful night Mr. Endo, it was a pleasure meeting you"

"Thanks Mr. Hasegawa, you too"

Ryota arrived in the exit of the café ready to leave, when suddenly Masami said to Ryosuke and Sayaka

"Please escort Mr. Endo to his house"

"Ah no, it's not necessary, i don't live very far from here" Ryota said politely

"Out of the question, it's very late and we kept you here a lot of time, please allow my humble request Ryota" Masami said with a tone which didn't take no for an answer

"Ehm, okay if you insist" he said calmly while open the door

"It was really a lovely night, and i will definitely come again to eat or for cup of coffe"

"I will be counting on that Ryota dearie, but next time will be full charge, so keep that in mind" Masami said mischievously

"Ehe, that's okay, oh and if your strange organisation have some kind of Yoga lessons i will be gladly to join them, i was thinking of starting some yoga, and i think that's a perfect way to keep demons away right ? Hehe" Ryota said joyfully but his joke fell to the ground by cold and sharp looks who took from everyone

"Will see about that Ryota dearie, be careful on your way home, don't let any strays attack you on your way home" Masami said all this with a serious tone which make Ryota feel a bit uneasy 

"Ah, ehm..sure Goodnight" he said anxiously while he walked outside of the café with Ryosuke and Sayaka following him.

Masami look at them walking away silently. Then Takashi approach her quietly from behind and whispered to her.

"You think he will join us Miss Fukunaga ?"

"We will see tomorrow Takashi, now all we have to do is hope that he will also have strong enough spirit for what it's coming" Masami said quietly

"Should i follow them ?"

Masami chuckled and turn to him

"Oh no no, that won't be necessary Takashi, don't worry, Ryosuke and Sayaka are perfectly capable of protecting him, it won't be a real hunt anyway" Masami said and turned back looking outside

"Just a small demonstration for our little Doubting Thomas" Masami said mischievously

After some walking the small group left the road beside the river and enter the town again. It was late so there weren't other people walking in the streets. The weather was colder and even if the wind had eased down Ryota buttoned up every button of his coat to feel a bit warmer.

"You really didn't have to escort me to my house, it's a very cold night" Ryota said to the two of them

"No worries, Mr. Endo, it's nothing Miss Fukunaga asked us anyway" Ryosuke said nonchalant

Ryota turned and look at Sayaka 

"How about you little lady ? Aren't you cold ?" Ryota asked while smiling on her

Sayaka look at him quietly and whispered to him

"I prefer warm places, it makes me feel cosy and relaxed"

"Ehe, like our dear Nyoka" Ryosuke comment

"True, cats love warm cosy places" Ryota said playfully as he was thinking Nyoka 

"I like cats, they are fluffy and soft" Sayaka with her eyes sparkling while her expression stayed unchanged

They continue talking about cats as they walked in the empty street with some parked cars. After they took the next turn on the street Sayaka suddenly stopped.

"Ryosuke" she said calmy

Ryosuke's expression got serious immediately

"Where ?" asked her

"Up there" Sayaka pointed with her finger a power pole with a light.

"What is it guys ?"

"Ssshh, be quiet and stay back Ryota" Ryosuke said while raising his hand to hold him back while he was looking up to power pole

Ryota heard some cracking noises from the top of the power pole, he also saw something with wings flying around the wires

"Are those crows ? They are messing with the wires maybe we..."

"No stay still and let us handle it" Ryopsuke said, and nod to Sayaka

Sayaka raise her hands and whisper some unknown words. Then suddenly a creature which was flying earlier fell down in front of them. Ryota nearly screamed surprised. In front of him was a small creature with horns, it's whole body was covered in dark fur and it had two small wings like a bat in the back. The creature squirmed unable for some reason to fly back making scary noises like animal.

"WHAT IS THAT THING ?!!!"

Ryota screamed frightened, when that creature looked in his eyes and Ryota nearly froze from fear, the creature's eyes were pitch black.

"Relax Ryota, it's just a dangalak" Ryosuke speak like he said the most natural thing in the world

"A..WHAT ?"

"A dangalak, in Greek tradition it means small demon, don't worry it can't harm you in this state, Sayaka made its wings go limb, so it can't fly anymore"

"Sayaka did what...??" Ryota turned surprised to Sayaka

"I won't let it fly away" Sayaka said emotionless while she gave a thumbs up 

"Well Mr. Endo, how's this for our yoga organization ?"

"It...it can't be....you ... you put something in my food you psychos...what was... it?..LSD....or something.."

"Ryota relax, we didn't put anything to your food, that little guy over here, is a true demon" Ryosuke said calmly

"Liar....how come i never saw something like this before?!"

"Ah, that is simple you see..." but before Ryosuke he could finished his sentence several other dangalaks appeared and surround them while they were screaming to them with pure rage.

"What the.... Sayaka where did they come from all these ?!!" Ryosuke yelled surprised

"I don't know...i was focus of keeping this dangalak down.. so they took the chance to surround us" Sayaka said as she was walking back

"Damn it" Ryosuke raised his hand and a katana sword appeared to his right hand

"Ryota stay behind me....Sayaka finish of this guy and protect Ryota as I'm dealing those abominations" Ryosuke order them as he was ready to fight

"Okay" Sayaka raised her hands whispering some words and send a blue beam of force to dangalak on the ground turned it to dust. The rest of the dangalaks screamed and gritted their teeth with rage. Some of them started flying over them and trying to bite them. Ryosuke slash 2 of them with one swing of his Katana.

"Sayaka, i need a light beam now" Ryosuke yelled

"Got it, Ryota better cover your eyes" Sayaka said nonchalant and raised her hands and shout with a crystal voice

"Let there be light" a huge beam of light appeared to blind all the dangalaks.

They covered their eyes with their small sharpy hands and screamed with pain. Ryosuke moved with inhuman speed and slash all dangalaks in the blink of an eye. After a few moments the beam of light disappeared and all the dangalaks were slaughtered. Ryota looks at them scared, as their bodies become dust and vanished into the thin air. Ryosuke breathed relaxed and turn to them.

"Sayaka, are there any more ?"

"No, all of them die, I'm sorry about earlier Ryosuke, i was too focused and i didn't sense the rest of them" Sayaka apologised

"It's okay, it's not your fault, dangalaks never attack in groups i wonder if that has do with the..."

"Ehm excuse me for interrupting, but WHAT WAS ALL THIS ?!!! I MEAN WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE" Ryota yelled at them

"Shhh, it's a late hour Ryota, people are trying to sleep" Ryosuke whispered to him

"Oh I'm sorry for my screams but i think your light beams and those karate demonstrations have more possibilities of waking everyone up"

"Don't worry Ryota, Sayaka made sure no one heard us"

"I also made a silence spell when they dangalaks attack us so we are good" Sayaka said giving up a thumps up with her eyes sparkling

"Oh good, then everything is good except the fact that I nearly had heart attack here"

"I'm sorry Ryota, all of this was meant to be a simple demonstration to make you believe we never meant to..."

"DEMOMNSTRATION MY FOOT, you're insane..i don't understand anything at all.. dangalaks bakalaks, demons spells, that katana which magically appeared to your hand" Ryota exclaims while holding his head between his hands

"I understand that was a lot to take for a first time, well i suggest to take a good rest to your home and we will talk about tomorrow after your work, okay? Sayaka send him home"

"Roger that"

"Wait what do you.." but before he could react, Sayaka touch his shoulder and suddenly Ryota was inside his apartment in the living room.
