The Council in the Woods

After Ryosuke and Sayaka walked away from the temple there was absolute silence. Then from the underside of the temple roof a demon appeared. 

The demon observed around with an investigative look and after making sure no one was left around, it opened its long black bat wings and flied away from the temple. 

It flew above the streets and the houses searching for something. After some time passed it angrily gave up the searching and flew away from the city of Kyoto.

To the countryside it flew above Sawano Pond, where it flew in circles and then landed into the forest beside the pond. After walking deeper into the forest two larger demons appeared behind the trees. They were wearing black armour and helmets which their horns protruded while they were holding Demon-Themed Halberds.

They were Demon-Guards, a high demon race responsible of guarding Archdemons and protecting councils that too place among the dark creatures.

 They waved the Halberds threateningly towards to the demon.

"Get out of here Alafar this council is only for high demons to participate" said the one of the demon-guards

"I need to see Vetisoron, I have important news that they can't wait"

"I'm telling this for your own good Alafar, get out of here there's an Archdemon who's participating in this council. Unless you have good news to be heard leave"

"I'm telling you..."

"DIDN'T HEAR WHAT WE JUST SAID YOU WORM?!" said the other demon-guard furious and knock him with the handle of the halberd.

The demon growled in pain and looked up at him with his hands coming in front of his face to shield himself while he exclaimed in its agony.

"Gramoryas is dead!!!"

Both of the demon-guards froze when they heard that.

"What?!"

The demon stand up in pain 

"Let me pass now"

The demon-guards exchanged a quick look and then one of them look at the demon.

"Follow me...if you're lying i will cut your horns off"

The guard-demon escorted them deeper in the forest where a strange light was glowing. Then they arrived in a small forest clearing, full of higher demons standing on a circle. They were all of them seven feet tall and their horns were longer and different shape each one of them, their skin was pitch black same colour with their long hair on the loose. Each one was wearing a silver necklace with blue stone in the middle.

In the middle of the circle was a huge blue fire which kept burning unstoppably, while everyone waw discussing among each other. The demon slowly approachs one of them in the circle and kneel before it.

"My master Vetisoron..."

The high demon look at it annoyed.

"Alafar ?! how dare you coming in the meeting of High demos get out of here at once before i kill you"

"My master I got terrible news, the destruction of Shōkoku-ji Temple has failed"

"FAILED, don't give me that nonsense Alafar, Gramoryas was in charge of this attack and..."

"Gramoryas is dead my master"

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAID?!" 

The rest of the high demons in the circle hearing this started to talk to each other troubled.

"Gramoryas is dead?!"

"How's this even possible"

"It was a high Beast-Demon, even ten Exorcists would have hard time dealing with it"

Vetisoron seeing this sudden commotion grabbed Alafar from its horns and drag it in the middle of the circle furious.

"YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING PIG, HOW YOU DARE COMING HERE AND SPOUT THESE NONSENSE IN THE WHOLE COUNCIL" 

"It's the truth my master, i show it with my own eyes, two exorcists and a sorcerer killed Gramoryas in the Shōkoku-ji Temple"

"LIAR, my spies said to me that only one exorcist and a sorcerer left from that filthy café-base of theirs."

"It was... it was also  another exorcist with them... a new one.."

"I WILL CUT YOUR LYING TONGUE YOU LOWLIFE DEMON" Vetisoron yelled at it in rage but then a sharp voice heard.

"Wait a moment Vetisoron"

Silence fell when that voiced heard.

Vetisoron and Alafar looked at scared as one demon from the circle approach them. It was nine feet taller than the rest of the demons and it had a gold necklace around its neck with a red stone in the middle. His hair was white and its eyes were dark red and sharp like the stone on his neck.

Vetisoron kneeled before the demon immediately as it stand in front of them.

"My lord Pythorgh, please forgive me for the insolence of my accomplice"

Alafar looked at the demon scared and kneeled also down. The Archdemon Pythorgh, i can't believe it i saw an Archdemon so close, he thought nervously.

Pythorgh looked at Alafar tenderly as he leaned lower to speak.

"You're claiming that Gramoryas one of our strongest Demon-Beasts was killed"

Without moving an inch Alafar nodded positively

"And how I know if your statement you claim is true is actually true? Do you have any kind of evidence of what you just said"

"I saw it with my own eyes my lordship, I was the only to survive, I swear to the name Haborym that it's true"

Pythorgh smiled at it and look around to the rest of the demons in the circle.

"I can sense any kind of lying to human or demon, and this small one isn't lying"

Alafar raised its head and look outstanded, the Archdemon defended it and believe its words. Pythorgh turned back to it.

"Your words aren't lies" 

Alafar beamed with joy and pride, Pythorgh leaned and gently pat its head.

"But even so, we need evidence for such statement"

Pythorgh then grabbed Alafar by its horn and toss him into the blue fire. Alafar screamed in pain as it was burning alive with blue flames elveloping him in the middle of the council

"Now reveal to all of us what you really saw, in your last moments" Pythorgh raised his hands in front of the blue fire and whispered dark magic spells.

Then above the blue fire a round giant mirror appeared made by the fumes from the demon corpse. Then every demon witness Alafar's last memories through the mirror which show to them the battle in the Shōkoku-ji Temple. All demons look with terror and rage one of their strongest Demon-Beasts getting killed so pathetically. Pythorgh watch the whole scene with great interest in his eyes.

"Vetisoron" said with a sharp tone as it kept watching the mirror

"Yes my lordship?"

"Who's that male human with the other exorcist and the witch?"

"I ddddon't know my lord, he's unknown to us, he must be joined the SAEA very recently." 

"I see...very interesting" he said as he locked his eyes to the form of Ryota. Then he turned his sight to the rest of the High demons.

"Listen to me everyone, it's seems that we underestimated the power of SAEA in Kyoto. So we will change our plans, I want to postpone any planned attack against to temples and shrines until further notice."

"Understood my lord" all demons agreed immediately

"Also call off any of your underlings and give them new orders. To focus entirely to exterminate every member in SAEA immediately."

All demons in the circle nodded positively.

"After we exterminate SAEA Kyoto will be ours to rule, and we will feast ourselves in their human flesh."  Pythorgh said with prideful tone making every high demon laugh and yell in satisfaction.

"But my lord...what about this new male exorcist?" Vetisoron asked hesitantly

"Don't worry Vetisoron" he look at him with he's eyes glowing.

"I will deal with him personally"
