Between Scylla and Charybdis

Ryosuke look at the giant demon if front of them nervously. A lot of the smaller demon's were still keeping advancing against them until Sayaka raised her hand's and cast shield on the three of them giving them a moment to relax.

"Well that will be a problem" Ryosuke said standing for a moment to catch his breath

"Can't you beat this thing like you did the rest of them" Ryota asked him as he sat on his knees tired

"Sure i can, I'm faster than this fat beast...the problem is...I'm fighting for a long time and grew tired, that will make most of my moves sloppy, and if I get hit from this beast even once... will be lethal for sure, how abot you Sayaka?"

"I already have spent most of my mana, and this shield now just made things worse for me" Sayaka replied tiredly still holding the demon's attacks away with her shield

"Damn it" Ryosuke cursed in rage. "Those damn tricksters, that was their plan all along, making is waste our energy and tired so they can pull out the big guns to finish us off"

The huge demon started walking closer to them with threatening moods.

"Ryosuke, I don't have enough mana left to hold off an attack from this thing" Sayaka said as she had started to look worn out under her emotionless face

"What about a light beam? I f you can blind it for a few seconds i sure can..." but Sayaka shake her head negatively

"Look at its eyes Ryosuke it has the goat's demon curse, that means it has immune to any kind of spell of light, only the actual daylight can harm it"

"How about you teleport us away from here"

"I can teleport only one person in my current state"

"Then teleport Ryota and we will figure out what to..."

"Absolutely NOT" Ryota said in a loud voice. Ryosuke and Sayaka look at him surprised, they never heard him raise his voice this way before.

"Thanks to Sayaka's help I didn't get tired in contrast to you two"

"What are you saying you old man, you can't fight this thing you haven't got the proper experience yet" Ryosuke said angrily and disapproving

 Meanwhile the colossal demon was getting closer and closer to them. Ryota look at it deeply into the eyes, then he turned to Ryosuke and Sayaka and gently pat the head of both of them.

"Leave this, for the proper adults, you younglings stay back" after he finished his phrase he made his katana reappear to his right hand and charge to the giant demon running leaving the other behind in the shield.

"RYOTA, YOU DUMPFOOL STOP" Ryosuke yelled at him trying to catch him up to save him...or maybe kick his ass for what he said

"RYOTA!!!" Sayaka screamed as she created another light beam make every demon cover its eyes in pain except the giant one.

Ryota runs towards the demon slicing any other demon who was getting in his way. The colossal demon as he was watching it raised its huge wooden club ready to squash him down. Ryota seeing this left a war cry and run faster towards to its. 

"GRRRYYYAAARRR" The giant demon growled loudly and when Ryota arrived close enough he strike him with force raising a huge cloud of dust and broken stones from the impact.

"RYOTAAAAAA" Ryosuke screamed as he looked at the strike

Sayaka frozed in her place. The giant demon laughed sadistically with its accomplishment, looking down on the ground when the dust cleared its saw Ryota untouched, standing a breath away from the hand its just strike on the ground. Then Ryota with a forceful strike he cut off the beast's hand which held the club. 

"GRRRAAAAAAAAHHHHHH" the demon let a loud scream of pain as its backed away holding the wound of its lost hand in pure agony, tossing away the demon's which they holding its chain.

"NOW ATTACK TOGETHER" Ryota yelled to his friends as he charged again to the demon.

Ryosuke followed his example, even though he was still pretty mad, and runed fast to jump on the demon and stabbed his katana in its throat. The demon in rage tried to grab Ryosuke with its remaining hand, but lost its balance in pain and fell down on the ground. Ryota then jumbed and stabbed the demon in his belly with great force, while Sayaka keep the rest demons away from them.

"Away, i cast you away creatures of darkness" Sayaka yelled as she cast a small hurricane which start shaking and raising the demons from the ground before it gradually tossed them far away.

The giant demon pulsating trying to fight back, but Ryosuke and Ryota stabbed it deeper with more force. A few moments its stand completely still and died, after a while, its huge body started to turning into dust and disappear into thin air.

Ryota collapsed on the ground tired, Ryosuke walk towards to him and stand above him.

"You crazy crazy old man, are you trying to make me have a heart attack? Or to be get me killed by miss Fukunaga?" Ryosuke asked him angrily but with a hint of playful tone in his voice since he couldn't suppress that he was a little proud of Ryotas bravery.

Sayaka slowly walked towards to Ryota and lie down beside him on the ground.

"Ryota Baka" she whispered to him and punch his chest gently.

Ryota laughed from her childish behaviour but then he got a serious look on his face and said:

"I joined the SAEA to fight with you demons, but if we reach again a similar situation like this don''t you dare put yourselves in front to protect me"

Sayaka and Ryosuke look at him tenderly

"I'm an adult, I can take care of myself and if I'm going to die just let me be, you're just children to my eyes. Just live your lives and let this tired adult make his own decisions, Understood?" he asked them with stringency and a soft underline of protectiveness towards them.

Sayaka gently nodded her head positively, while Ryosuke looked away a bit overwhelmed by all that.

"Whatever you say old man."

Ryota smiled gently to them.

"I think now it will be nice to teleport me directly to my bedroom Sayaka" Ryota said to he politely

Sayaka beamed with joy and touch Ryota chest immediately made him disappear from the ground.

After that Ryosuke stretched his back 

"What a fool, acting all high and mighty..hm...whatever, come on Sayaka let's go home it's late."

"I can't" Sayaka said not moving an inch from the ground

"Huh!?"

"Uppies" she said while she layed on the ground worn out.

"What?! forget it you're not a baby"

"Uppies" Sayaka said again raising her hands towards to him like a child, but with almost a playfull glint to her beautiful golden-brown eyes

"Aahhhh" Ryosuke left a deep sigh and kneel, then he gently took her into his arms and stand up.

"You're so needy, one of those days I will stop spoiling you I swear it" he said to her as he walked outside of the temple grounds while carrying her gently.

"Ryo-nii can we buy some food on our way home?" she said low and unbothered but pleased to be carried bridal style

"Yeah whatever... and don't call me that" he said acting annoyed and grumpy

"Thank you Ryo-nii" she muttered again with a tiny pleased curve on her lips as she stayed to is protective arms.
