Chapter 17:
My Sister Found a Spaceship
“Oh brother,” I said, looking around the previous battle area. “I didn’t realize we were trapped in here.”
“Great. Just great,” Clare said, still scratching her scalp.
“Not a good time to be sarcastic, we have to get out of here, Clare.”
When I said that, the alien walked into the room, closing the door behind him.
“Hello, earthlings. Having fun in the room?”
“Until you showed up, I was having fun,” Clare mumbled.
“Well, I hope you have fun in there, because…” All of a sudden, he turned into father!
“Dad?” Clare said, curiously walking towards “father.”
Then, I remembered, I was reading this book, and it had creatures in there called sirens. They were these ugly things, who existed in Greek mythology. They used illusions and The Mist to make themselves look beautiful. They also played their music to lure sailors away. Then, they sucked their blood. I was certain that that was what the alien was trying to do, except for the sucking blood part. Even though the sirens used songs to lure them, I was certain the aliens were using seeing illusions.
“Clare! Close your eyes!” I said, covering my own.
But it was too late. The alien grabbed her and put a weird needle in Clare’s back. Then, she collapsed. The alien gave me a ‘you’re next’ face. I had to run. I picked Clare up and ran as fast as I could. Then, I felt a sort of warm sensation in my leg. I looked down and saw the needle in my leg. I lost my grip on Clare and fell on to the floor.
