Chapter 12:
I’m Too OP, So I Decided to Troll My Loli Master Instead of Saving the World
[ Two Days Later ]
Location: The Grand Hall of Winterspring. Event: The High Deacon Roundtable.
Underneath the towering dome, beams of holy light pierced through, illuminating the center of political power in Winterspring.
This was where the Seven Deacons gathered to discuss world-ending threats, ancient mysteries, and the fate of the continent.
Sitting at the head of the table, First Deacon Andrew flipped through a magical tome. He looked up, his expression grave.
"Fellow Deacons. It has been three months since we excavated the [Ancient Elven Royal Court] in the Western Empire. How is the decryption of the secret scrolls progressing?"
He scanned the table. His gaze landed on the seat opposite him.
There, a small Loli was slumped on the table, fast asleep. A snot bubble expanded and contracted rhythmically from her nose. Zzz... Zzz...
Andrew’s gaze sharpened. "Nanako. You go first."
POP. The bubble burst. Nanako shot up like a spring-loaded toy, eyes wide open.
"Meeting adjourned?! Can I go home now?!"
"..."
"..."
Silence. A flock of crows cawed overhead. Caw... Caw...
The other Deacons covered their mouths, trying not to laugh. Andrew’s face turned the color of an eggplant. His beard twitched with rage.
"I asked about the Ancient Elven Scrolls assigned three months ago," Andrew growled. "Deciphering that text is critical. What is your progress?"
Nanako blinked. "Ancient... Elven... Scrolls?"
The room went so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Andrew took a deep breath. "Nanako. Do not tell me... you forgot?"
Nanako shivered. A vague memory surfaced from the depths of her goldfish brain.
Three months ago. The excavation. Winterspring had secured a massive haul of Elven documents. Because the language was dead, the top mages had to decipher it manually. She did bring a scroll back to her tower.
She remembered walking in, tossing the scroll onto the table, and preparing for a nap. Then, her disciple mentioned that the table was wobbly and needed something to prop up the leg...
Nanako’s eyes widened in horror.
"I... I used it to stabilize the table leg..." she whispered.
"WHAT?!!" Andrew roared, slamming his fist on the table.
Nanako jolted. "NO! Nothing! I mean... I have deciphered it successfully! In fact, I'm almost done with the entire book! It's a huge success!"
"Yes! Exactly!" Nanako nodded her head so fast she looked like a bobblehead in an earthquake. Her twin-tails whipped around frantically.
Andrew gritted his teeth, smiling a smile that wasn't a smile. "Is that so? Amazing. Even I have only deciphered two pages in three months. But Nanako has finished the whole book? Truly impressive."
Nanako scratched the back of her head, laughing nervously. "Ahaha... yeah... totally..." Inside, she was screaming.
SLAM. Andrew slammed the table again.
"Fine! Since you are so confident, bring your translated manuscript here tomorrow at noon! Let us all admire your genius!"
"Meeting adjourned!" Andrew shouted, storming out.
[ Outside the 7th Deacon’s Mage Tower ]
Lynn was currently lying on a rocking chair, holding a book, swaying gently in the breeze. He squinted his eyes, sipped some tea, and enjoyed the chill wind.

"Ah... this is the life," Lynn murmured sleepily. "If I could just AFK farm like this forever... my life would be complete."
The homework Nanako assigned? Didn't touch a single word. The 2,000 push-ups and meditation? Skipped.
If a person doesn't slack off... what is the meaning of life?
It had been two days since the "Arena Incident." Lynn had naturally used that time to visit the Chapel. He spent hours letting the cute Priestess "heal his trauma." Her voice was soft. Her hands were soft. If Nanako hadn't dragged him out by the ear, he would have camped in that infirmary for a year.
Suddenly, Lynn froze. He sat up with a kip-up, looking at the sky.
"Master is back?"
WHOOSH.
A gale force wind screamed from the horizon. A blue blur—a twin-tailed Loli riding a broomstick—was charging toward the tower at Mach speed.
It was Nanako.
Lynn stood up instantly. He tore a hole in space, tossed his rocking chair and his "adult book" into the void, and closed the rift. Then, he waved at the sky with a bright smile.
"Welcome back, Master!"
The persona must be maintained. A stupid but dutiful disciple always greets his master!
But Nanako didn't slow down. She didn't even hear him.
Lynn blinked. "Is she... distracted?"
CRASH!
Nanako slammed straight into the side of the Mage Tower. A massive hole appeared in the wall. Black smoke billowed out.
Lynn nodded. "Yep. Definitely distracted."
Clang. Bang. Crash. Sounds of destruction echoed from the top floor all the way down to the ground floor. It sounded like a pinball machine.
SLAM. The front door burst open.
Nanako, covered in soot and ash, rushed out holding a thick, dusty book. "0.5 seconds..." Lynn muttered. "She rolled down the entire staircase again."
Nanako ignored him. She slammed the book onto the outdoor table. Her sapphire eyes burned with fighting spirit.
"Deciphering an entire Ancient Scroll in one day? For a genius like me, that's easy mode!"
She whipped her head around, twin-tails slapping the air. "Right?! Disciple?!"
Lynn nodded instantly. No hesitation. "Yes, Master! You are the strongest! You can do anything!"
[ Inner Voice ] [ Hehe. Whatever the Loli Master says, just agree. Nod and smile. ]
[ Inner Voice ] [ I don't even need to know what she's talking about. ]
[ Inner Voice ] [ Based on past experience, whenever the Blue-Haired Loli gets this fired up, she will give up in exactly 30 minutes. ]
[ Inner Voice ] [ I could set a stopwatch. Precise timing. Not a second more, not a second less. ヽ( ̄▽ ̄)? ]
