Grandpa on Action

Skyfall Zero ( Arc-1)

Grandpa, Ren, and Hina coming out of the gaming center shop. The sky is turning orange — the sun is slowly setting. Some people come out of the gaming centre, and some people go inside to release their stress and enjoy a little bit with friends.

Grandpa smiles and says “That was really fun.”

Ren stretches his arms. “I have never had this much fun before in my life.”

Hina smiles and says, “We should come here every day!”

Then Grandpa looks at his watch. “Alright, We should go to the tailor shop. Your uniforms must be ready by now.”

Ren and Hina nod. Then, the three of them went toward the tailor shop together. Then Grandpa, Ren, and Hina reached outside of the tailor shop to pick up their uniforms. Then they go inside a tailor shop, and they walk straight to Sato’s office.

Inside, Sato is already sitting there, waiting for them.

“Oh! Uncle, you have arrived,” Sato says with a warm smile. “I was waiting only for you. I personally prepared both of their uniforms.”

Grandpa says, “Sorry for coming late, Sato. We got so busy playing games that we completely forgot about time and uniforms.”

Sato smiles softly and says, “It’s alright, Uncle. I’m just happy that you all enjoyed your time.”

Hina comes forward with bright eyes and says, “Mr. Sato… can we see our uniforms now? I couldn't wait for anymore.”

Sato smiles proudly. “Of course. I made them especially for the two of you.”

Then, Sato claps his hands once. Then immediately, his assistant enters the room carrying two neatly packed bags and places them gently on the table and after that she leaves the room.

Ren and Hina look at the bags with excitement shining in their eyes, when the bag enters the room.

Sato looks toward them and says,“Here you go. Your uniforms are ready and please take him.”

Ren and Hina come forward to take the bags — stickers with their names are placed on both bags, making it easy to know whose bags which. Then, after taking a bag both of them look excited and happy.

Just then, Sato stands up from his chair and looks toward Grandpa and says,“Uncle, I feel sad, but I leave now. Because I have an important business meeting soon.”

Grandpa nods and says, “Thank you for everything you’ve done for them.”

Sato smiles. “There’s no need to thank me, Uncle.  But I have only one request. When Ren and Hina someday need their hero costumes, come to me. I will make them myself. Because, it would make me feel very happy and I also like making Ren and Hina costumes.”

Grandpa laughs softly. “Of course, Sato.”

Suddenly, Sato’s phone rings. He picks up his phone, and answers it, then he gives a short nod, and quickly leaves the room.

Ren and Hina hold their uniform bags tightly, their excitement still not ending.

The Grandpa, Ren, and Hina come out of the tailor shop and start walking back toward home. The afternoon has already ended. The streets glowing under in streetlights and the moon also comes into the sky.

Ren and Hina look very happy. They walk side by side, talking excitedly about the academy — the classes, the training, and the new life waiting for them. Their voices are sounding full of hope and energy.

A few steps behind them, Grandpa also walks at a slow speed. He watches Ren and Hina — their faces bright with happiness as they chat and laugh. A gentle smile forms on Grandpa's face, everything feels peaceful and they are going toward home.

Suddenly, a loud voice comes through the street.

“Someone… Please help!”

Grandpa, Ren, and Hina immediately turn toward the sound.

Up ahead, a many thug is harassing a woman and her small child. The child hugged their mother, in fear — but this thing doesn't affect the thug, and they continue harassing the woman.

Ren clenches his fists. “We have to help them, they are in danger!”

Hina nods and says, “You’re right, Ren. Let’s go!”

Both of them start to rush forward—

But Grandpa raises his hand and stops them.

“Wait.”

Ren and Hina turn back in surprise.

Grandpa points at the bags in their hands and says, “You’re carrying your new uniform bags. If you fight while holding those bags, their uniforms will definitely get damaged, and I think you two wouldn’t want that, right?”

Ren says, “But Grandpa… someone needs our help.”

Grandpa said calmly, “My bones aren’t that weak yet. You two stay here. I will handle this.”

Ren’s eyes widened and said, “But Grandpa, how will you handle them? There are so many!”

Grandpa only smiled, then walked forward without hesitation. Ren and Hina watched him with worried eyes, their new uniform bags still in their hands.

On the other side of the street, the thug was still harassing the woman and her child.

“Ahh… give me all your money,” the thug shouted. “If you don’t give me your money, then something very bad will happen to your child.”

The woman trembled, hugging her child tightly. “Please… don’t hurt my baby. I’ll give you everything I have. Please leave me and my child…”

Just then, Grandpa arrived and said firmly, “Leave the woman and the child. Now.”

One of the thugs looked at Grandpa and said, “Get lost, old man. Or I’ll make sure you never walk again. Stupid bastard — thinks he is a hero.”

Grandpa looked at him calmly and said, “Kids these days have no manners. They don’t even know how to speak to their elders — Your mom and dad didn't teach manners.”

Hearing this, the thug’s anger went up flames and said. “I’ll teach you how to talk! You old bastard — and I also teach you not to interfere in other's matters also.”

He rushed forward and launched a punch at Grandpa. But Grandpa smoothly dodged the attack, and in counter attack. Grandpa attacked with his elbow, directly hitting the thug in the face, and the thug crashed brutally in the ground.

The remaining thugs look and they are shocked and surprised.

“That old man… he actually hit him! And knocked him — without any affect” one of them shouted. “We’ll kill you, old man!”

All the thugs looked toward Grandpa. They pulled out their knives and rushed at Grandpa 's side.

One thug attacked with his knife toward Grandpa, but Grandpa calmly caught his wrist in mid-air. Before the thug could react, Grandpa hit his throat with a sharp blow. The thug collapsed to the ground, and instantly knocked out  the thug.

Grandpa took the knife from his hand and threw it perfectly. The blade directly hit another thug’s chest — but not deep enough to hit any vital point, but enough to knock him. He fell to the ground, trembling in pain.

Seeing this, the last two thugs stopped in their tracks in fear and disbelief and old men easily defeated their friends. Grandpa going toward the thug who has the knife stuck in his chest and crouched beside him. Grandpa's voice was cold.

“You’re the one who threatened to hurt that child, aren’t you?”

Grandpa twisted the knife slightly and slowly. The thug cried out in pain.

“P-Please… forgive me! I begged you!”

Watching this, the remaining two thugs turned pale and their bodies shaking in fear, and they tried to run away from grandpa.

Just as the two remaining thugs turned around to run— but Grandpa suddenly appeared right beside them. They froze, eyes wide, shocked by Grandpa unbelievable speed.

Before they could react, Grandpa threw his fist.

BAM —!

One thug was punched in the face and flew backward, crashing hard against a metal pole and he instantly knocked.

The last thug trembled, his knees shaking and said “Y–You… you’re a hero!”

Grandpa gave a small smile.

“No,” he said calmly. “But, I’m just a retired special soldier.”

In the next moment, Grandpa beat the final thug brutally and he collapsed. Then, Grandpa walked toward the woman and her child.

“Lady,” grandpa said gently, “you’re safe now. You can go home.”

But, the child was still shaking in fear, hiding behind her mother. Grandpa knelt down and looked at her kindly.

“The scary people are gone,” he said softly. “No one will hurt you anymore. You like candy, little cute girl?”

Then, Grandpa took out a small candy from his pocket and offered it to her. Slowly, the child accepted the candy. Then, Grandpa stood up.

At that moment, police sirens sounded. And officers arrived quickly in the incident.

Ren and Hina came to Grandpa’s side. “Grandpa! We called the police earlier!” Hina said.

Grandpa nodded with pride. “You did the right thing, Hina.”

The police arrested all the unconscious thugs and took the woman’s statement. After everything was settled, Grandpa, Ren, and Hina quietly walked toward home again. On the way, Hina turns toward her home and waves goodbye. Then , Ren and Grandpa continue walking toward their house. After a short time, they reach home safely.

The next morning, Ren was getting ready in his room. He put on his new uniform and looked at himself in the mirror for a moment. Then he walked down the stairs.

Grandpa was waiting in the kitchen. “Ren, eat your breakfast first, before going” Grandpa said.

Ren quickly grabbed a glass of milk, drank it, and put a piece of toast into his mouth.

“I’m going! Bye, Grandpa!” he said, waving as he rushed out.

Grandpa waved back with a warm smile. And just like that… Ren’s new journey had begun.
