Entrance Ceremony

It was morning. Sunlight was falling on the road. Ren ran down the street, and he hurried toward the bus stop. When he reached the bus stop, he saw Hina already waiting there. She waved her hand cheerfully.

“ Oye, Ren!” Hina says.

Ren walked up to her, and took a deep breath after a long run.

“ Huff… Huff…

Sorry, Hina… I’m late”

Hina smiled and said, “It’s okay. Today is our entrance ceremony. Are you excited?”

Ren nodded and said, “Yeah. I am very excited.”

Just then, the bus arrived at the bus stop. The doors opened, and Ren and Hina stepped inside together. Then the bus started moving. After some time, it stopped at their destination. Ren and Hina coming out of the bus.

They walked toward JPW Academy, their hearts filled with excitement and nervousness. Soon, they arrived at the academy grounds.

Ren and Hina then headed toward the ceremony hall. They saw that many other students were already inside the hall. Some were foreigners, while the rest were Japanese.

Just then, the principal entered the ceremony hall. Immediately, all the students formed neat two lines, one for boys and one for girls.

Then Ren and Hina joined their own lines. Then, the principal walked onto the stage, preparing to give his speech and motivating students for the future and starting the entrance ceremony.

The principal smiled warmly and spoke into the microphone.

“Good morning, my dear and lovely students.

I congratulate all of you for passing the entrance exam. I truly believe that each of you will become great heroes one day, and together, you will make this world a better and safer place for everyone.”

The students clapped loudly, filling the hall with the loud sound of clapping.

The principal looked at the students, then continued his speech.

“Many of you have come from different countries — the USA, Germany, China, India, and more.

You all share one dream: to become the world’s greatest heroes. But before that, you must become good citizens or human beings — But, you must first face your weaknesses and overcome or eliminate them. This academy will teach and help you to improve your skills in your power.

And I see everyone's results, and all of you performed very well in the entrance exam.In the practical test, your efforts were truly outstanding. Officials planned to admit fifty students.

But because the practical exam was so intense, more candidates were eliminated than expected…and only thirty-nine students passed, which means this year's batch is incredibly talented.

So, don't forget these next three years will decide your future. So give it your best effort.”

In the end, the principal said.

“Thank you. And now — enjoy your entrance ceremony party

Everyone cheered loudly in happiness, after the speech ended.

Soon, students began gathering around the food tables — Laughter and talking sounds filled the hall as everyone enjoyed snacks and drinks.

Ren and Hina stand together, sharing a plate of snacks and talking about the ceremony and the after party's other processes.

Just then —

the black-haired boy appeared. He walked toward Ren and Hina's side. Then, he reached and said. 

“Finally… we will meet again.”

Ren and Hina turned around. Behind them stood the same black-haired boy. His hands were in his pockets. 

Ren smiles and says, “Hello… we meet once again.”

The black-haired boy gives a small nod. “Yeah. After some trouble, I finally got a chance to talk to you.”

Ren tilts his head in confusion. “Trouble? What do you mean, bro?”

The black haired boy smiles awkwardly and says, “Ahahhh… forget it. Tell me—how are you both?”

Then, Ren realizes something — after everything that had happened, Ren  still didn’t know his name. “Wait… I still don’t know your name and where you are from?” Ren says, “By the way, my name is Ren.”

Then Hina smiled softly and introduced herself also. “And I’m Hina.”

The black-haired boy looks at them and says, “My name is Negi — and I'm from India.”

Ren smiled and said, “Nice name.”

Negi nodded slightly and said. “Thank you… Will you be my friend?”

Ren looked surprised for a moment, then smiled.

“Of course…. Why not”

Hina smiled and said. “Hmm, looks like you two will become good friends.”

Negi said confidently, “I’m sure, Ren. We'll be in the same class.”

Ren nodded and said, “You’re right. I also hope all three of us end up in the same class.”

Just then, an announcement was announced through the hall.

“Attention, everyone. The ceremony is about to end. Please all students come to the testing area.”

All the students start walking toward the testing room. Ren, Hina, and Negi walk together.

Soon, everyone enters the testing room. At the front, an instructor is standing on a platform.

The instructor says,“We hope you all enjoyed the entrance ceremony. However, according to academy rules, first we must measure your Psyche Waves — their nature and energy level.”

The students talked in curiosity. The instructor continues, “When I call your name, please come forward — and then, your level measured.”

Then, the instructor begins calling names.

“Paul.”

A boy steps forward. He wears a strange device over his head and places his hand on a screen. The machine started as it scanned him.

A holographic display appears.

Nature: Positive

Psyche Wave Level: D

The instructor nods and says, “Next. Satoshi.”

One by one, students step forward. Some receive:

Positive Nature — Energy Level C

Positive Nature — Energy Level E

Negative Nature — Energy Level A

Positive Nature — Energy Level B+

Positive Nature — Energy Level A+

Each result causes quiet talking among the students

The instructor called the next name. “Hina.”

Hina stepped forward. She placed the device over her head and placed her hand on the glowing screen. The machine beeped softly.

Nature: Positive , Energy Level: A+

A quiet talk spread through the students. “An A+ was impressive.”

Next, the instructor spoke again. “Ren.”

Ren walked forward. He put on the head device and placed his hand on the screen. At first, the machine showed: Nature: Positive

But when it came to measuring his level… the screen didn't work, Seconds passed. Then more.

The instructor thought, ( Why is it taking so long? )

Finally, the result appeared, Energy Level showed: SSS+.

The instructor’s shocked and said, “ …. Impossible”

The entire hall erupted, everyone talking, and Ren himself stood stunned.  Then he returned to his place.

Negi looked at Ren and said, “ Wow…. Ren, your energy level is very high!”

Hina  says, “Ren… I can’t believe it. How are you managing that pressure?”

Ren scratched his head and said, “I… didn’t know either.”

Just then, the instructor called, “ Miku”. Then, the purple-haired girl stepped forward calmly.

Negi says, “So that’s her name… Miku…  Ren, she’s the one whose attack poisoned you in the final exam.”

Ren looked toward her. Then,Miku placed the device on her head and touched the screen.

Nature: Negative, Energy Level: SS

Ren looks surprised and says, “Negative nature… and such a high level.”

Hina says, “How does she even control that kind of power?”

Then, the instructor said, “Next and last, Negi”

Negi walked forward, put on the device, and touched the screen.

Nature: Negative

Again, the machine paused, longer than before — Then the result came on screen.

Energy Level: SSS+

The instructor looked in disbelief. ( Is this machine broken today? Two SSS+ results in a row…? )

Negi returned to Ren and Hina. Then, Ren asked, “You're of a negative nature too. How do you manage such dangerous energy?”

Negi gave a smile and said, “ Dangerous…. Hahhh, this negative energy makes me a less serious person, so it is good for me.”

Hina and Ren exchanged stunned looks.

Then, the instructor says, “that after calculating the your results, we will announce everyone’s teams” 

After a short time,  the instructor returns and says, “ I will now announce the teams. Please listen carefully.

Class 1-A is formed. Ren, Hina, Yuki, Mei, Ryan, Lily, and Akira.

Class 1-B is formed. Negi, Miku, Alya, Yue, and Neko.

And other classes. These are the final teams. No changes will be made. Please proceed to your assigned classrooms now.”

Ren and Hina encourage Negi, telling him that even if they are not in the same class, it doesn’t matter — they are still friends. After that, all the students start going toward their own classrooms.
