Chapter 33:

Beast vs Vampire

A Night is all I need (remake)

Commander Nootra grew in size—abnormally. His fangs and claws elongated. As he dropped to all fours, his mane expanded. He wasn’t just immense—he radiated royalty. His transformation wasn’t just terrifying; it had a mystic beauty to it. That was Commander Nootra—King of the Beasts. He released a thunderous roar that shook the entire battlefield, forming an invisible shield of sound. The darkborn’s wicked energy slammed into it, unable to break through.

The first of the four summoned figures stepped forward. He was tall, with smooth black hair and striking pale skin—paler than snow. His eyes scanned the battlefield until they settled on Nicole, who instinctively stepped back, heart racing.

‘A vampire,’ the man mused. ‘Then you must know who I am.’ Nicole swallowed.

‘Yes. You’re the King of Vampires—Lord Dracule.’

Dracule grinned, shifting his gaze to Commander Nootra.

‘Imagine meeting my old friend in the body of a human. How amusing. Very well—it suits me. Take care of the others. I’ll handle the King of Beasts.’ The three behind him—two women and one man—transformed. Black, leathery wings emerged. Their skin thickened, turning to stone-like texture covered in violet-black patterns, almost like cursed tattoos.

Amidst the chaos, Jessie locked eyes with one person—Nighyel. Exhausted from the summoning, Nighyel was on the ground, gasping for breath. Jessie’s eyes flared, but Nicole whispered beside her:

‘Forget her—for now. While the commander holds off Dracule, we’ll take on his servants and the ghouls. At least no other vampires came along. I’ll deal with the servants. You help the soldiers.’ Jessie gritted her teeth. But as the ghouls resumed their assault, she had no choice. Nicole charged the horde—then, at the last moment, leaped high above their heads toward the servants. Meanwhile, Dracule floated into the sky.

‘Shall we begin, King of Beasts? Or are you worried your people might die in the process? So be it then. Hahaha!’ Violet energy gathered around his arm, forming into a massive orb.
‘They’ll die either way. Might as well give it your all. I doubt you can stay in that form for long!’ He launched the orb into the sky.

‘Let them all bathe in their blood. Heaven’s Fall – Dragon Festival!’ The orb exploded. Energy rained down, each droplet forming into snake-like dragons. ‘And now, King of Beasts and fellow Celestial—show me your power!’ (Nicole: Celestials... second only to the King and Queen.)

In the hospital

John bent forward—then suddenly launched like a bullet, smashing into Sark and breaking through the toilet wall. Larah jumped back. Hope screamed. Sark hit the ground hard, coughing blood. John stood up immediately.

‘Damn, John!’ Sark spat. ‘Jessie never told us you were this strong!’ Behind John, a sound echoed—Dean’s fist collided with John’s face. But it barely fazed him. Sark’s two bullets to the legs, though, finally dropped him. Now Sark had his gun trained on John's head. But John slammed the floor with both fists, shattering it. Everyone fell through.

As they plummeted, Dean leapt from stone to stone, reaching Larah and Hope. Sark unleashed a rain of bullets at John mid-fall. Most hit—but none hit the head.

‘Fuck, John!’ Sark yelled. ‘You’ve become a zombie!’ They hit the new floor—Dean clutching Larah and Hope. Smoke veiled the room. John clapped once, and the wind from it cleared the haze.

‘Got you,’ Sark muttered—and shot John in the head. BANG. John dropped. Dead.

On the battlefield

Jessie carved through ghoul after ghoul, drawing closer.

‘I’ll fucking kill you!’ she bellowed at Nighyel, who was being dragged away. Nighyel laughed, coughing.
‘First, kill your old friend John. Or better yet—if you really want him dead, once won’t be enough. Hahahaha...’

In the hospital again

Sark approached Dean to check for injuries. Suddenly—something grabbed his leg. He looked down. It was John.

‘That’s creepy, man!’
