Spotlight #20: Maila

Maila Rõivas, age 20. Born in a small rural village in Estonia, she's been hailed since birth as a "savior" thanks to a prophecy foretold by the village head. Unfortunately, these very expectations are often the source of her anxiety.

Maila is good at chess, but she's nowhere near great at it. She does have an international master title though, but it's getting to grandmaster that's frequently been eluding her. And thanks to her village's cult-like attitude, failure is not an option. If she fails to live up to expectations, she fears she'll be turned on. Hence her appointment as DSPCM came as a relief to her as now she had the protection of the WWCF, who most certainly could stand up to her family with ease.
