Chapter 33: There is a Monster in Moon Orchid City

The Violet Crown. That was supreme power!

But how could such a divine artifact be in Moon Orchid City? If the Crown was really here, the Violet Family wouldn't have fallen into such decline!

Freya, the Thorn Witch, smiled faintly, looking down at them with pity. "I've said enough to you dead people..."

She spread her arms wide, mocking them. "Now, witness the destruction of this ancient city with me. I'm sure you will enjoy the view. Hehehehe—"

Her laughter echoed through the sky.

Behind her, in the distant city, the massive Cyclops roared and raised its giant axe. In the next second, half the city would be wiped off the map.

Nanako’s face turned pale. But just as the axe was about to fall...

Suddenly! A bizarre scene unfolded.

A Giant Hand.

A massive hand made entirely of starlight materialized silently above Moon Orchid City. No mana fluctuation. No aura. It just appeared out of thin air.

Next second. Like pinching a rabbit by the scruff of its neck, the Starlight Hand reached down with two fingers. Pinch. It grabbed the skyscraper-sized Cyclops by the back of its neck and lifted it into the air.

"HOLY SHIT!!" Nanako and the Knights were stunned.

Freya, unaware because her back was turned, laughed maniacally. "Are you shocked?! Are you terrified?! This is the power of the Abyss! This is the power of Demons! True, absolute power!"

Nanako covered her face, screaming: "No! No! That's not it!"

Then, something even more terrifying happened. Another Starlight Hand appeared out of nowhere.

Under the shocked gaze of everyone (except Freya)...

SMACK. SMACK.

The second hand began to rhythmically spank the Cyclops' butt.

"It's getting spanked! The Demon Lord is getting spanked!!" Nanako grabbed her twin-tails, eyes wide.

Arnold and the Knights were petrified. They had never seen such a bizarre scene. Even in their wildest fever dreams, this wouldn't happen.

Above Moon Orchid City, the massive Cyclops struggled desperately in the giant hand's grip. But it looked like a toy action figure in the hand of a human. It could only wiggle its chubby limbs in vain.

SMACK. SMACK. The spanking continued without mercy.

Freya lifted her chin, still facing away from the city. She smiled at Nanako, conducting an imaginary orchestra. "Listen! What a rhythmic beat! I can already imagine the city being destroyed by Lord Arthas! Hahahaha!"

Nanako yelled, "No... seriously, turn around! It's not what you think!"

Even the Fel Guards around Freya were trembling. Their eyes were bulging out of their sockets. "Lady Freya... um... we suggest you turn around too... Something big is happening..."

Freya opened her eyes sharply. Her smile turned cold and menacing. "Is that necessary? It's just a destroyed city. After I kill you all, I will personally greet the Demon Lords and offer them fresh sacrifices!"

But she turned her head anyway. She looked toward Moon Orchid City.

"..."

"..."

Silence. Dead silence.

The smile froze on her face.

"..."

A few seconds later. Freya smirked. She rubbed her temples and chuckled.

"Heh. Did you cast an illusion on me? Not bad. To make me see such an absurd hallucination... you are stronger than I thought!"

Nanako was shocked. "Where did you get the idea that we cast this illusion?!"

Freya sneered, floating down from her dragon. "Do you know what a High-Tier Demon Lord is?" "If you had any common sense, you wouldn't create such a low-quality illusion!"

"A High-Tier Demon Lord is second only to the Monarch! Do you really think he could be picked up like a baby chick?" "Disgusting and amateurish!"

She snorted coldly, her eyes dark. Playing tricks in front of me? Do they think I'm brain-damaged? No normal person would believe that scene is real.

But just then. The Starlight Hand seemed bored of spanking. It grabbed the Cyclops by the arm. [ 360-Degree Spin ]

WHOOSH. With a miserable scream from the Cyclops, the massive body was hurled through the air like a javelin.

The trajectory... Was straight at them!!

"The Demon is flying over here!!" Arnold screamed in terror.

Freya sneered. "Heh. Still trying to mess with my perception? Ridiculous!"

Then, under the horrified gaze of Nanako and the others, the flying Cyclops got closer. And closer. And closer.

Even the Bone Dragon sensed the incoming projectile. It turned its head in confusion. Huh?

CRASH————

A deafening impact. The spinning Cyclops slammed into the Bone Dragon with the force of a freight train. [ Friendly Fire: Enabled ]

"It... It hit..." Nanako mumbled.

Freya felt the shockwave. She turned her head sharply. And in that instant, her brain crashed. System Error. Blue Screen of Death.

"This... This..."

She stood there, unable to speak.

The Fel Guards trembled. "Mistress... we told you it wasn't a hallucination!"

"Impossible! This is absolutely impossible!" Freya panicked. She rushed to the fallen giant. "Lord Arthas! Lord Arthas! What happened?! How could you..."

She refused to believe it.

The massive Cyclops raised a trembling hand. "Mon... Monster..."

Freya froze. "Mon... Monster? What monster?"

The Cyclops pointed a shaky finger toward Moon Orchid City. Tears streamed down his single eye. "Inside... there is a Monster..."

Freya: (!!!!)

His voice was trembling with pure terror.

After delivering his warning... Hic. The Cyclops' hand dropped. His tongue lolled out. o(x﹏x)o He fainted.

Freya screamed. "LORD ARTHAS!! LORD ARTHAS!!"

Next second, Nanako’s eyes widened again. She looked back at the city. The Starlight Hand was moving again.

After throwing the Cyclops, the hand didn't disappear. Instead, it sneakily moved behind the spatial rift in the sky.

It positioned itself right next to the opening. Fingers curled into claws. Like a prankster hiding behind a door, waiting to jump scare the next person who walks in.

[ Tactic: Spawn Camping ]

"What is he doing?! What is he doing?!" Freya watched in horror, trembling.

This isn't an illusion! This is real! There is a being in Moon Orchid City who treats Demon Lords like toys!

Then. HUMMMM. A terrifying aura of fire began to emerge from the rift.

Freya recognized the aura instantly. And she finally understood why the Starlight Hand was hiding there.

He was going to... He was going to...

"LORD FLAME MONARCH! DON'T COME OUT!! IT'S A TRAP!!" Freya screamed.
