Chapter 3: Our New Archer... And Our New Crazy Magician
Adventuring With Bros In A Fantasy World
We stared at the meat we left on the grass ground, hiding on a bush and poking our head out.
"Are you sure a boar can be a good one to practice my skills on?" Jayden asked
"Yeah men, you are an assasin, a fast one. You can dodge or jump around the boar and throw your daggers at it making it bleed"
"If you say so. You play a lot of RPG games, I have my trust in you"
"Boars are known for charging at you with it's tusk. So be fast"
A boar approached the meat and started nibbling it. This one is at an average size.
I patted Jayden's back "Ready when you are"
"Back me up if it gets ugly"
Jayden jumped out of the bush and threw throwing daggers at the boar. He spent nearly most of his money for the throwing daggers.
The boar screeched in pain and looked at Jayden with fierce eyes, nose are steaming.
"Hey, you know what Mexican do with a bull in an arena?" I asked Jayden, still hiding behind the bush
"The red cape thing?"
"Yeah, try to be like that"
Jayden sheathed his melee daggers and straightened himself, making a t-pose. The boar's front leg digging the ground, ready to charge.
*Mexican trump sound*
"Come at me, bull"
The boar charged at him, it's head lowered, pointing it's sharp tusk at Jayden. Jayden took one step aside, dodging it at ease with a magnificent pose.
I clapped my hands aggressively "Nice one! Wait a minute-"
The boar is coming right at me.
"Hey don't make it come at me!"
I dived and hide in to a nearby push. This is Jayden's training, I shouldn't get seen by the boar. And also to complete a task and get reward.
The boar stopped and turned around to look at Jayden on a vampire in a coffin pose.
"Come at me again"
The boar charged at him once again. Jayden spun and dug his dagger on the boar's neck. Jayden got suddenly pulled.
"Woah"
He feell down and was getting dragged on the ground as the boar charged, his dagger was stuck. His body scraping on the ground. The boar bumped hardly on a tree, it got stunned by the heavy force.
Jayden raised himself and dug his other dagger on the other side of the boar's neck.
The boar wailed and stood up, Jayden rode behind it's back. The boar started kicking behind it like a horse. Jayden held himself tightly.
I can see Jayden is panicking, but he is not calling out for help. He turned his dagger, opening the wound more.
The boar roared and threw Jayden off of him, making Jayden flew and drop to the ground.
"How the hell do I kill this!?"
I have played a lot of RPG games. There are few mechanics to kill one strategic, one is just damage it or just make in bleed in real life, or the popular one where you lead a boar to a tree to stun it.
"Stand in front of a tree, make it charge at it" I shouted
Jayden nodded and stood in front of a tree. The boar charged at him, Jayden dodged and let the boar slam at the tree.
The boar was stunned and sat on the ground.
"Give it your all!" I shouted
Jayden throwing barrage of slashes at the boar, making it bleed all around it's body. Okay, this a very unpleasant scene.
Jayden continued, slashing the boar. The boar stood up, Jayden backed off. We can see the boar getting weary.
"Maybe one more?"
The boar charged, Jayden dodged, it went straight to a tree. Jayden ran towards it and threw another barrages of slashes.
Blood flying everywhere, staining red around the area.
The boar finally made a loud squeal before dropping dead to the ground. Jayden regained his stamina, breathing heavily.
"Yes! I knew you have it in you!"

I dropped the boar tusks on the counter "Here's the 3 boar tusks"
Halia put the reward on the counter "And here is your 50 gold coins"
Jayden and I split the coins, he looked dissapointed with the rewards.
"I really want to rank up fast so we can do some high rewards tasks" Jayden muttered as he sat down
"Halia, how can we rank up fast?" I asked
She took out a task paper and tapped a word written below gold reward, it is a guild experience reward. I was not sure why I haven't read that before, might have been blind for money.
"A lot, task rewards, killing monsters, using potion experience multiplier. The more you do for the guild faster you get to rank up"
"I know a way how we can rank up fast, maybe" I said to myself
I asked Halia to come closer "What is it"
I whispered something to her ear.
"What!? That's a-!"
"Shhh, lower your voice. I don't want Jayden to hear it!"
"That's an E-Rank task! You both are still in F-Rank! Yes it will work but whatever you are plotting right now, I won't let you" she whispered
"Just give me the task!"
"No, I won't"
"Tch, this is bullshit"
I looked around the guild, I saw a familiar guy. The rogue man who talked with us and warned us the other day.

I signed the paper with my own name and put it in my bag. "Phew, I really appreciate sir... Uh"
"Willy, just call me Willy I don't care if you are younger than me. Good luck with the task"
I joined Jayden on one of the guild tables and waited.
"Are you sure people want to join our team with that kind of name?"
"We hope for the best. We just need a mage and a marksman. Maybe after the quest I saw, we can change our team name. I also put about it on the paper"
Hours passed, we waited... And waited... And waited. 2 plates have stacked up on our table.
"Sometimes good really has some flaws. Fantasy is great and fun but sometimes it's boring, I don't have a phone. There is nothing to do much to pass time" Jayden groaned
A girl approached us, she is about the same age as us, beautiful, blonde, long-haired, an archer equipment, a bow on her back. A... Girl, but she can do.
"Greetings, I hereby came to ask if this is Team Douchebag? I read you are in need of an archer"
"Yes we are Team Douchebag" I rubbed my face in shy, I can't believe someone really wants to join in
"Nice to meet ya, I want to join in your party"
She actually want to join the party despite the name!!!
I made a room for to sit down, she sat down quietly. Jayden and I stared at each other with a smug face and a drop of sweat on our head. A girl wants to join someone like us, that's rare.
"My name is Kasean Linfan, nice to meet the two of you. I joined this party because you are the only team I can find who needs a marksman. I also join to easily earn gold coins and make alliances"
"My name is Mathew Thy Hamsel and this is Jayden Mozorov"
We sat in silence, not knowing what to say.
"N-now we need a mage and we are good to go" I said in a low tone
Wait, I nearly forgot to ask.
"Are you an experienced archer?" I asked
"Hmm? Maybe, why did you ask?"
"Just asking, I have a dangerous plan but comes with high reward. We are trying to get a lot of guild experience and need money so Jayden and I can level up and access high rewards tasks that's why we are looking for recruitment"
"I see. I think we are all F-Rank here, it's good to hear we will all rank up together at the same time"
I person suddenly kicked the guild door, slamming it on the wall, a guy, blue haired, wearing a mage outfit.
"Muahahahaha! I came to find Team Douchebags" he yelled out in the guild
I faceplanted my face on the table. Jeez, no need to shout it out. The guild once again, was filled with laughter.
I raised my hand "Over here"
He ran up to us crazily "This is really real!? You really named your team Douchebags!? Muahahahaha! Such a crazy name"
"Yes but I will soon change it once we have enough money"
"Oh c'mon, don't change it. I like the name Douchebag"
"Yes I am changing it and no one is stopping me"
"Fine, I don't know why you named it in the first place. But I heard you are finding a mage right? I can do water, fire, earth and wind!"

"Yes, I want you in my team" I jolted up and shook his hand crazily
"Yay! Mom, dad, gramps, someone let me join in their team!"
His stomach suddenly growled.
"Eh"
I sighed, I will guess no one recruited him and he is left broke.
"My treat for all of you. Let's use up all our money for new armors and equipments"
"Really, what is the plan?" Jayden asked

In front of us stood a large giant orc towering over us with a long giant club. I turned around, Jayden was just standing, petrified, staring at the orc, legs shaking.
"O-oi! Help me out here!" I shouted
"Huh!? How do you expect us to defeat a required E-Rank Orc when we are just F-Ranks!?"
"That's why we stocked up potions to keep on healing and recruited some people!"
I looked at the other two, they are also like Jayden, just staring at the orc.
"Come on move! Look my legs are also shaking but this is for the sake of level and money!"
The Orc swung its club downwards, I jumped away. The club hit the ground hard, digging and throwing clumps of dirt.
"I hope this will fucking work Mathew! Cloak"
Jayden used his newfound ability, cloak giving him invisibility. As an ally, I can see a bit of opacity of him, running towards the orc.
He used the club as his bridge to go up and made slits on the throat before jumping back to the ground.
"This team is really crazy, attacking a E-Rank Orc while such a low level? I knew you guys are crazy like me! I love it I love it I love every single thing of it!" Iramor yelled like a madman
I am losing hope "Stop shouting and attack that thing!"
"Of course leader! Flame Explosion!"
Iramor launched a ball of flame at the orc's face. The orc roared in pain. It swung blindly, I dodged the attack.
Kasean was shaking so hard, but she encouragely still reload her bow and aimed.
"Piercing Arrow!"
The arrow felt strong, she shot the Orc on the chest. It only pierce a bit but the orc's reaction shows how hurt it was.
Yes, this is it, the teamwork I wan-!"
"Urcke!"
I flew and bumped to a tree. The orc attacked me without me realizing, I was just happy they are cooperating.
"Leader, are you okay!?" Kasean shouted
"I'm fine i'm fine and stop calling me leader, I am okay with Mathew"
I stood up and ran towards the Orc and slashed it's leg. It swung it's club at me again, I am in a danger state I can't dodge!
"Impenetrable Defence!"
The club hit me, but I was unharmed and didn't even flew. That ability is to nullify any attack no matter what the damage, but consumes a high amount of my stamina. It's a good thing it can be used to enemies rank 1 higher than me. More above will just decrease the damage to 50%
The fight continued, Jayden going around slashing every part of the orc. Kasean and Iramor stayed behind throwing magic and arrows at it.
"Earth Rise!"
The dirt suddenly made spikes upward, going towards the Orc and stabbed with it. Having 4 elements as a mage is kinda... Crazy.
The club went towards Kasean. Kasean noticed and shriek. In speed, Jayden came and carried Kasean to another spot and continued to fight.
"Th-thank you"
My arms started to tire with the constant slashing and getting hit by the orc. I started consuming a lot of health and stamina potion. I also noticed Iramor constantly consuming a lot of Mana potion.
Minutes passed by, we are sweating and bathing buckets, I can feel it on my clothes. The Orc finally fell down to the ground, defeated.
"Yeeeeeessss!" We celebrated, going around jumping and wacing our weapons around
"We are getting promoted!"
I went around and shook their hands.
"Thank you"
"Congratulations getting promoted and thank you"
"Congratulations for all us and thank you for believing in me! If we keep up like this, we can do it a lot like nothing and level up fast"
"So, what do get from the Orc to complete the task?"
"The leather collar around it's neck"
The others rested on the ground as I removed the collar off of the Orc's neck.
Suddenly, an arrow passed by, taking the collar with it and hang on a tree.
"What was that!?"
